Japanese food is not my thing i admit. I just dont like to eat some raw fish. My bestfriend brought me here on their new location as she was craving for sashimi. I had a taste of Joeds Lutong Hapon when they were still near Osmeña Boulevard and that was fine. This time, they got a nice location and definitely a lovely ambiance. You'll get to feel more Japanese vibes in their new location with all the lights and ornaments except for the warmer environment. The place was not airconditioned but well-ventilated enough. Surprisingly, their Sashimi made me think twice and fell in love with it on first bite (hahahhaha). My friend had Salmon Sashimi and I loved it. Their Miso soup was also a must try and also a good cure from hungover (just an opinion but im not drunk when i dine here hahaha). I had their Bento Box. The Bento was fairly priced at 250 php, not bad at all. It has rice, Tonkatsu, maki rolls, yakisoba and Miso Soup. Their bento is a great way to fill up your tummies. Their Maki rolls were also good for someone who doesnt eat sushi. They also serve some korean food and ramen with their twist. I love their beef kimchi. Its their take of kimchi with beef tidbits on it. Joeds Lutong hapon started from a simple eatery on a house the owner had rented few blocks from its location now. The owner is a Japanese native and moved to Cebu when he married a Filipina. Some Japanese restaurants were overpriced ( my own observation) so if you're in a budget and wanted to try an authentic one, Joeds is a must visit.

If only I have photos! But allow me to walk you through it. This place is probably one of the best Japanese Inspired Fastfood / Carinderia ;-)

Oh no! It's not your typical turo-turo but an upscaled version since it specifically serve authentic Japanese Viands; From the look of the place it's akin to a normal food corner but nope whatever you see in Nonki or Other Japanese Restaurants you'll also find there. Although, not excellent in plating but taste won't disappoint you!

The Chef so they say was a former OFW Cook in Japan, thus, the concept for his own business in the local scene. Makes me want to either go to Japan or visit the Joed's for a taste of Japanese Food at a very affordable price!:-)
