I think they lost their edge in being a contemporary Japnese cuisine, food was just okay, price is not justifiable. Probably the reason why my prior visit from last week was 4 years ago....

I originally wanted to order their Fish Tonkatsu but unfortunately I was informed their dori is not available. So i ate chicken teriyaki for P348 as recommended by their attending staff. My friends ordered Gyudon, Tonkatsu and Dyamite rolls.

Tempura Ramen. Shoyu, not Miso.

The original plan was to meet my classmate from London and some more people back in college. The meeting should've been in MOA Complex on the 21st. But since there were some conflicts, we pushed the meeting/dinner today. 5pm in ATC.

It's was already 5pm when I woke up. Took a shower then headed straight to Park Square and got in a van going to Pilar (LP). I was dropped off at ATC, near Outback. That was roughly 20 mins excluding edsa.

I can't remember the last time I went to ATC. Probably back in 2009. Ang there are a lot of changes! New stores, buildings, parking space... Etc. and to make the story short, I asked my friends to meet me somewhere instead of me going to them. Felt so unfamiliar with ATC now. And it reminds me so much of the Ayala Center Cebu.

Anyway, we went straight to John and Yoko. I ordered Tempura Ramen. I didn't like it that much. It tasted like its ordinary instant noodles (but I think Sails of Movenpick, Cebu has a better version of it, but still it didn't satisfy my tastebuds). Plus the tempura was a bit weird. The shrimp is long, but very thin. It didn't taste like how it's supposed to taste. I only finished half of the bowl.

My classmate said we should've just gone to another Jap restaurant a few steps away form where we ate.

I may not be too crazy about John & Yoko but it's one of those places in my list of "near favorites". Servings are just right, food taste and quality pass the grade, staff are accommodating and a notch higher when compared to other resto staff in ATC, ambience is okay ... nothing negative to be said about this place!

We just happened to pass by John and Yoko at ATC and decided to give it a try. Decent food, generous servings, nice service. The price was worth it for the servings, not so much for the taste. I'm not craving for it but it wouldn't hurt to come back.

It was almost 2PM and we are hungry. We decided to give John and Yoko a try again since the first time was a failure.

We ordered tofu with cheese, salmon belly, fried chicken with a green something and las vegas roll.

Total failure. The reason they got 2 stars is for the roll, but everything was a disaster. Food sucks.

Plus the waitress was running around catching the cockroach.

I went here because I love Japanese places. The ambiance, the menu was pretty much like SumaSam's. Big servings! It was fine. I felt sad because I didn't get to try the pizza!

Great service. Crew members are named after the states in USA and japan, i.e. Las vegas, hiroshima, virginia, etc... Food choices are great

Oishii!!!!

I'm a fan of japanese cuisines (but i stopped eating pork and seafood so i had lesser chance to enjoy it).. Anyway, this place serves wagyu beef, chicken, veggies and it made me enjoy it all! However, we couldn't finish it all since we ordered a lot! We expected the servings (though good for sharing) in small plates but NO! It's big and really enough for sharing per meal. So don't order too much! Haha

P250~P300 per meal. It's SUPER WORTH it, i promise! Hihi. I enjoyed it all so much, especially when i'm with my forever lover. 10084️ Hihi..

John and Yoko is getting pretty popular right now. I first tried it in ATC and now its here in QC. I like the sushi better than their rice meals, but not that it has the best ones there is. The best sushi Ive tasted so far is the one along Aguirre St in Pque. Anyway, its a nice place to have dinner especially with a special someone. The ambience is good, just like Mr. Kurosawa. The sushi tastes better though. My best bet however is their flavored Sake (rice wine). If this is your first time, you gotta dry their Dynamite Roll, Spider Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll, of course Salmon sashimi and end it with their Lychee flavored Sake. Ü

It was 8 pm, past our dinner time. Wanted to go to the newly-opened Krazy Garlic but husband was tired to walk from Metro mall. 128116 My daughter was insisting Stackers, she claimed that wi-fii was fast there! 128563
I bought pizza from Sbarro's for the kids so they would be happy. I wanted some sushi so we ended up John and Yoko as it was the nearest japanese restaurant.

They have a wide selection of foods on their menu but only with pictures and no descriptions. I had to ask. So here's what we've got:

I had Dynamite Roll which is spicy salmon top with slice salmon skin. Hubby ordered Spicy Tuna Salad
and salmon sashimi. I asked if their watermelon shake was seedless and the lady said yes but my daughter, ever picky as she is, complained that there were seeds on her shake! We also ordered mango and strawberry flambe.

The dishes we ordered were around P300-400 but nothing wowed us. They were good but not so for its price. If the price is around P200 per dish, I would've liked it.

John and Yoko. Yoko dito.
