Family Friday dinner at Jonas! Nothing to break the bank. Moderately priced food in BGC that is not your usual "fast food" fare, Jonas is situated strategically in the middle of The Fort Strip. They have good light, big tables but the seats are a little close to each other, so expect to have a difficult time squeezing in if chairs are occupied. Service was quick, some of our orders we had to follow up such as the Shrimp Hakaw and Siopao. I ordered the Jonas Beef Pares that came with fried rice and a bowl of soup. I like the pares, better than the watery consistency of Sinangag Express, as if that would matter, I don't understand why they even make that dish. Jonas' was thick, filled with beef and litid - which i liked very much. The sauce is good with the fried rice which was a little bland. The chorizo was the only saving grace of the fried rice. So make sure to douse your rice with a lot of sauce, it lessens the saltiness of it. Soup was just your regular broth with chopped spring onions. We also ordered the Lemon Chicken which also came with fried rice and soup. I like the crispiness of the chicken and it was not overcooked. The lemon sauce had the right tang and sweetness. The hakaw was equally good, for 80+pesos it's a steal. The shrimps were generous. Do not order the Sago't Gulaman - it was just foam and juice, and the foam tasted like soap. No gulaman or sago. Eeek. Service was OK. Nothing that stands out. Senior discounts honored. Official receipt issued.

From a scale of 1-10, how good is Jonas?... 💯 legit pares! The best damn thing a drunkard could ever ask for. Siomai was great too! I'll come back for more pares, and I really gotta try their mami! I heard its good too!

Ps: pardon the crappy picture.

Affordable for a so-so meal, plain and simple.

Beef pares 110881108811088
They say it's the best, but I beg to disagree. I had better.

Pork salt and pepper 110881108811088
This dish was better than the beef pares actually. It tasted like the one from Mann Hann, but had bigger pieces.

We were supposed to go to Early Bird when we saw this new resto just right infront of it. And since we want to try something new, we then tried what the place has to offer. Before entering, their door says "DRY RUN" so we didn't really expect 101% but the whole experience turned out to be just fine! For starters, their interior screams "foodcourt" thats more organized and clean, which was good! There were only us when we went there, prolly because it was only 7:30 in the morning ha ha. I ordered Shrimp Tempura, which was served with a huge bowl of hefty fried rice with longganisa chunks. My friend ordered Spaghetti with Meatballs (happy bday? Lol) both dishes were served in less than 15 minutes and upon initial tasting, they turned out to be just fine! The shrimps could be bigger, but still tasted delicious paired with its sauce. The fried rice tasted nice too, serving size like bannaples. The spaghetti and meatballs also tasted nice! Much better than Sbarro's, for me at least128076

Overall happy breakfast and we will definitely go back to savor on their other prolly delicious food.

A friend and I were walking around the area near the office, looking for a place to have dinner. Jonas came into view, with its bright lights and radiant interiors. They were still on "dry run" but it wasn't that obvious, as things went relatively smoothly.

Plus it's quite refreshing and surprising to see a mami/pares house in this area, amidst a sea of high end restaurants and bars at the Fort Strip 128522

I ordered the wanton mami and asado siopao, while my friend ordered breakfast food--omelette with fried rice, plus coffee and soup. Our order was actually a tad too much for two people, as the mami can already feed the both us 128556 Food was just fine; nothing spectacular. But good enough for a bill of around PHP460 only 128077🏼

Service was good and fast. The staff was accommodating and warm, but would have appreciated it more if they provided our additional requests "right first time." For instance, we had to request for an extra bowl so we can split the mami. Then afterwards, we had to ask for catsup for the omelette. Just minor things though, given the overall experience.

Will definitely be back 🍽
