It was a Sunday evening when my friends texted and asked for a meet up. We were eyeing Silantro Fil-Mex in Kapitolyo but they closes early at 11PM. We just decided to chill at Juanito’s Bistro.

I’ve known Juanito’s to be an inuman place so I was quite surprised that they have an extensive food menu also. We wanted to stay outside the restaurant for a more homey vibe but the place is packed when we got there. I immediately ordered a bottle of beer which only costs 60php. Yes, it’s just affordable here. For the food, we had the following.

MAIN

** GOURMET TUYO PIZZA (290php)
We were actually debating if we’ll have Adobo or Tuyo pizza. Good thing I insisted to get the latter as this was DELICIOUS. I was not actually looking forward for it to taste this good as Juanito’s is not a pizza place. However this exceeded my expectations as I loved the balance of the saltiness of the tuyo and cheese and the sweetness of the pizza crust. I think they also use the same crust as Pasta Roni. If ever you’ll go to this place anytime soon, order this Tuyo Pizza. Such a nice break from all those meaty pizzas out there!

PICA-PICA

** CHILI CON CARNE (145php)
This was really cheesy and had a lot of beef and beans. However I didn’t like the fries itself. I’m not sure why but I think the fries needed to be toasted more. The cheese was not impressive as well.

** CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN HALF (240php)
The chicken was cut into small parts making it a nice pica-pica. It came with buttery gravy which complemented well with the chicken. It was not too salty which I liked. This was sulit considering the price!

I also ordered rhum-cola after I consumed my bottle of beer. Service was slow due to the number of customers outside. It was hard to get the servers’ attention for water refills. They have CRs located at the second floor.

P.S. Juanito’s Bistro is open until 2:30AM daily. They also offer street food as pulutan like isaw, tenga, chicharon bulaklak and calamares.

Had a few beers with friends. Finger food was so-so. The pork chops were a bit dry...I like the tinapa rolls.

When we arrived AC was not working so we stayed at the open air space. It was a bit warm.

It was a weekday when we visited Juanito's Bistro. At around 12AM, it was still jam-packed. Good thing we were able to secure a table at the non-smoking area.

The place was really casual and comforting, with its homelike ambiance. The crowd was a mixture of young and old groups too so it's really a welcoming place.

We ordered buckets of beer paired with Chicharon Bulaklak, Tenga, and their Cheese & Garlic Pizza.

The bulaklak and tenga were really crispy, crunchy and served sumptuously. Putok bato, literally! The pizza tasted really good too. The cheese and garlic altogether can really be an addicting flavor.

I'd definitely come back to check out their karaoke rooms.

This place was well known for beers and their famous pulutan which are chicken intestines and the likes. I like the varieties of their food menu and I wanted to order a lot! It was my first time to try their adobo pizza, I imagined it to have chunks of adobo on top (haha), but it was served with adobo flakes and cheese. It tasted good, seasoning was great, and all the pizza ingredients complimented each other. We also ordered their nachos, although i find their beef topping too salty 128533. I also ordered their tuyo pasta, which was yummy! It's like aglio olio but with a bit of saltiness because of the tuyo. My only problem with this was that there were a lot of fish bones mix with my pasta, i had to constantly be cautious while eating it because i don't want it get caught in my throat. Of course we tried their chicken intestines, 10pcs per order served with their soysauce, very yummy! #loolooexplorerpackgiveaway

We've dined here by accident actually as we are supposed to be at Juanita's Cafe. It wasn't a bad experience though. Simple interior but feels so laid-back. And oh, staffs were really friendly.

Foods were descent, certainly not among the standouts but nothing to hate as well. Their tofu with shitake mushroom was my fave followed by their sinigang na baboy which was soothing given the heavy rain that afternoon. We've also tried their crispy tilapia fillet with garlic mayo, crispy binagoongang baboy ang crispy bicol express. Yup, everything just sounds interesting but tastes too common or maybe I was just expecting for a twist of these pinoy recipes.

Dined-in with friends because one of our barkada visited from Singapore. The place is simple, homy, and with less interiors. We had sinigang na baboy, pork binagoongan, tilapia fillet and bicol express. Overall, food is okay, but I dont find it sulit.

You feel homey when you're here because of the set up which is obviously a house with a garage. The place is always jam-packed. I just couldn't take the noise of some people to the other table/s because tables are just like inches apart from you, which you can heard them easily although it has a background music in the place.

We just a had drink and nachos. Nachos was just typical, nothing special. I was hoping for the below zero beer, because it would be perfect for the ambiance of the place.

Prices are kinda expensive.

They mostly serve Filipino cuisine and pulutan. Food is nothing spectacular, but they're open really late, which is good for those late night food trip.

Nice ambience, with just the right balance of modern and clean. It is a good place for catching up with friends or family, or maybe just to hang out.

Their food has a nice selection of beer-match appetizers, mains, pastas, and pizzas. One of the more remarkable dish we had was their Gourmet Tuyo Pizza. Price of food is quite affordable too, in my opinion.

Service is pleasing, though may be improved.

This is a perfect place to hang out after a dinner or food tripping in Kapitolyo area.

Sitting at the far end of east drive kapitolyo, you wouldnt recognize you're on the right track if it's the first time you're visiting Juanito's. Setting is old house modernized turned functional. The food is contemporary Filipino. I must say,the crispy binagoongan is a must try! Prices are reasonable. And dont forget, the place is also a KTV bar. There are 3ktv rooms to choose from with open time limit. I strongly recommend that you book as early as 1 week prior to your desired date to get a slot. Overall Juanito's is a must visit place. Thumbs up!

May photobomber pala sa shot ko. Ngayon ko lang napansin. 128514128514128514

Haha. Finally had the chance to unwind for a bit after working for 8 days straight. Had a few rounds of beers with workmates.

Very affordable drinks. A beer would only cost you P40.

We had the beef nachos for pulutan. It was a really simple nachos. I just wished they used tomato salsa instead of ketchup on it. Ketchup man. Wth.

The service was very bad. I mean, the waiters and waitresses are quick on your requests, but actually getting a hold of them is the difficult part. I think Juanito's is short on staff and they need to do something about it. Especially on a jam packed Saturday night.

Reasonable prices ! Big servings ! Truly value for money . We ate there twice , first a buffet set-up which they offer for groups .( Tip : dont be ashamed to ask for a refill of the buffet, since thats what you're paying for )
The second time we ordered a la carte .
Must try the following -
Angus beef caldereta
Fried chicken
Binagoongan baboy
Mixed seafood

Will definitely keep on coming back .

One of the most spacious restos along Kapitolyo. Must try is their Tofu Shitake and Beef Caldereta. Why the beef caldereta? Because they use wagyu meat for their beef in that dish. Food really tastes good and the ambience feels like you're just having a family dinner in the garden or backyard of your home.

Great, tasty and affordable food + really good ambience, but it's such a pity that the service was terrible. The waiters were slow, weren't really sharp in getting our orders and were not accommodating.

It's too bad, the place would be perfect if the waiters were more efficient.
