Work ended very late last Friday and we were craving for Korean food. My office mates and I were surprised to find out that there is a 24-hour Korean resto in the Makati area so we went to this place.

The three of us were really, really hungry so we ended up ordering a lot of food:
*Chadol bak yi - grilled just right. We initially ordered one plate only but we eventually ordered another one because it tasted sooooo good.
*Yukgae jang - spicy enough for me but not for my friends who have higher tolerance than mine.
*Mul naegmyun - friend ordered this because she was craving this for months. Concept of cold noodles is weird for me but I ended up liking this one. Cold broth is still really weird but hey it tasted good.
*Pa jeon - had big chunks of squid and shrimps!!! I always order Korean pancakes when eating in Korean restos, and Jumong didn't disappoint!
*??? - can't remember the name but we had a plate of spicy squid. I liked how they cooked the squid and this was delicious. But, they put in a LOT of huge chunks of vegetables (cabbage, bell pepper, onions). Too overwhelming for us.

All in all, everything tasted great and we will come back here when our Korean food craving strikes back. 128525 Hope they can improve on their ventilation though. We ended up smelling like grilled meat because the table next to us wanted to have his meat grilled inside. 128560

Trust me when I say that I loved Jumong. I reviewed this restaurant twice already, and even gave them a 5-star rating during my last visit. However, sudden twist of everything. Now, I won't be recommending this place anymore.

After a night out at Valk, my officemates decided to have breakfast at Jumong. We were 19. Given that Jumong is relatively small, they squeezed 15 of us in 3 tables. The other 4 arrived late so they were seated in another table. We ordered 4 orders of Sampgyupsal, 4 orders of Chadol bak yi, and another 3 orders of Pork Galbi. They only served 3 sets of appetizers with small amount of servings for 15 people. I was only able to taste 1/5, which is the kimchi. They didn't allow refills as they said we just had 11 orders of meat. I mean it's okay if that's the policy but I really disliked how the server delivered this. She was disrespectful in every manner you can think. I was with my team's VP, 2 SMEs from our global counterpart, and 5 co-managers and leads. It was like wtf. How embarrassing for me as I was one of the people who recommended the place.

P.S. They even served 1 order (good for 3) of sampgyupsal first, to be shared by 15 people. Of course it was gone in a minute. The next batch of orders came after 15min. I didn't even like how they placed our orders in the table. So rude.

P.S.S. No, I won't be eating here again.

Ordered 8 dishes since we are 8 and to get unlimited side dish. Ordered Pa jeon, Jap Che, Samgyupsal, chadol bakyi and 4 others but I can't remember their names. I liked everything we ordered. The service is fast and the crew are very accommodating.

Korean food at 2am? Why not? Jumong is open 24hrs. We're supposed to eat pizza and drink beer after work but I suddenly craved for Samgyupsal. So.. Jumong! 128541

What I really love about Korean restaurants is their unlimited side dishes. My favorites are tofu, kimchi, and spicy rice cakes. In this particular visit, my officemates and I ordered the following.

Samgyupsal (280php) - Thin sliced pork belly.
Chadol bak yi (380php) - Sliced beef.

Both are best with lettuce and 2 dips: soybean/ chili paste and gireumjang (salt with oil). I love making lettuce wraps.

Teok mandoo (250php). This is rice and dumpling soup. Not spicy at all, but vey flavorful.

Yukgae jang (300php). Spicy Beef soup. You can tell the servers to make it not too spicy. Good for 3 pax.

Galbi jjim (380php). Braised Beef short ribs. My favorite here at Jumong! Their Galbi jjim is really good here. I kid you not.

You can eat much lettuce as you want! Just don't expect too much about the place. Servers were attentive during this visit, considering there were also a big group of diners (yes, at 2am). Haha

P.S. To avail their "refillable" (they prefer to use this instead of unlimited) side dishes, each person should order at least 1 dish. We were 5 last night, so we ordered 5 dishes as above. 128584

I love their Galbi Jjim.

Me and my officemates always go here after work. Food is affordable yet yummy.

P.S. Craving for Korean food at midnight? No problem. Jumong is open 24/7.

All prices on the menu went up by almost P100 each. 128557

No more unlimited lettuce for your barbecues. A refill of P60? Boohoo! 128557

No more rice water for finale. 128557
Breaks my heart. 128148

Any more recommendations? Huhu.
I think I should find another place to eat my Korean cravings. Huhu. 128557

Im totally a fan of Korean BBQ, but what i really love in this restaurant is their Pageon! #MustTry!

Meal servings are also large - definitely for sharing! We went there for a team lunch and all of us were sooooo full we couldnt even stand up! 128514128077

A turn off that i would shrug off is the smokey smell and feel after dining! But who cares!? At least i have a SUPER HAPPY HAPPY TUMMY!! 128513127860128588

One of the best Korean places I've tried.

Great food. Reasonable price. Nice vibe and feel.

The prices went up already, but it's worth every penny.

Try it for yourself. Words cant describe it.

They say it's authentic Korean dining experience but food was just fine. Meat is not grilled on your own table. Kimchi was also not so spicy.

My friends and I craved for something Korean and I think this was a good choice.

Authentic Korean right there: Korean owner, Korean vibe place with Korean customers, and delicious Korean food. (Haha! Sounds racist?) but really, the bibimbap, Pajeon, and grilled beef that we ordered wasn't too bad. It was all good and made our conversation worth more enjoyable.

Do try when you're craving as well. :)

ang sarap nung samgyupsal.. 250 per order.. yummy din yung side dish na fish cake and yung potato marbles.. just dont like yung service.. ilang beses akong nanghingi ng samjjang(yung dip) di ako pinapansin then nung nagbigay ang konti lang kahit sinabi kong damihan!... Foodwise okay food nila.. halatang masarap nga kasi jampacked dun mapakorean man or pinoy dun..

One of the best Korean restos I've tried! Well, Samwon is still number one in my books. But this place perfected the authentic paejon (Korean seafood pancake) and LA Galbi 128077128077

Good food at mid-range pricing. I would choose it over Kaya or other Korean restaurants in the area. Service is okay but parking is a challenge. I'm not quite sure if area is family friendly at night.
