Just Another Damn Good Sick Joint, along with The Ampersand (club) and Sala (cafe), is a restaurant that makes up 1/3 of Baguio's The Camp.

As soon as you enter the doors, the first thing noticeable are the walls surrounded by quotes from The Bro Code by HIMYM's Barney Stinson. It has a sprawling floor space, and with dark bar furniture untypical of what Baguio is used to.

The menu they have is something out of the ordinary. Underneath each section [Appetizers, Sandwiches, Imported Beers, etc.] of the menu, it has subtitles such as, "Applicable for a threesome", "The substance you eat, then you poop out...", "Beer and vagina have similar PH values". Some [teenagers] might find it humorous, but I find it to be pretentious and lacking good taste.

We ended up ordering a platter they named Booty Full (chicken cordon bleu, fish florentine, bratwurst, rice and coleslaw). I have to say that it wasn't to our liking.

First, the cordon bleu was dry, the cheese that was used wasn't creamy, and the taste was as if it was heated in a microwave. The most disappointing about the cordon bleu was that there was no bacon or ham.

The fish florentine wasn't to our liking either. I don't think it was either fish nor florentine. The meat was dry and salty. The sauce wasn't buttery and rich as florentine sauce should be, and there were no greens such as spinach that florentine dishes come with.

What I liked about the platter was the bratwurst. Unless they burn it, or not cool it at all, I don't believe one can ruin sausage.

Since I'm not a fan of coleslaw, I never touched it, so we won't touch this subject as well. 128517

This platter costs 375PhP. I would be worth the price if the food was actually good. (BTW, all dishes, I feel are overpriced.)

Service-wise, like the food, it wasn't good. Though all were friendly, they were very inattentive.

When going to restaurants, I try to be a conscientious objector. I try to find good in the bad that I experience. But as you read this, I don't believe I said anything positive. In my experience there, to have the name Just Another Damn Good Sick Joint is pretentious and misleading to its customers.

This is solely my opinion of this establishment. This is in no way, shape or form to keep anyone from coming here. I would love to hear more (honest) reviews, and hopefully it will change my views of this place.

Happy eating!!!

**Tip: If you plan to dine, arrive before 9PM. Once the big hand hits 9, a swarm of teenagers will take over the place to hang out until the club starts to liven up.

Finally there's a good drinking place in Baguio. The concept is similar with Draft Gastropub. They carry different types of imported beers. We just had a couple of beers here after dinner. For appetizer, we just tried their sizzling sausages, it was just ok. Nice to know that there are now dining/drinking options in Baguio.128077127867127864
