Just Thai in Burgos Circle, BGC is a lowkey restaurant that serves amazing Thai cuisine.

The place is quite small but with enough seating and a second floor. Various Thai decor and figurines can be seen around the place. They had us sample a few of their dishes and here are my top picks —

🍽 Pad Thai (P290)
Pad Thai is probably my favorite Thai dish, ever! So I was quite excited when this dish came out, it was beautifully presented with its ingredients still on the side. The noodles were perfectly cooked and they didn't scrimp on the seafood. As per usual, it has a nutty taste and the sweet-sour flavor is a nice contrast.

🍽 Crispy Fillet of Fresh Tilapia with Sweet Chili or Tamarind Sauce (P440)
The flavor on this one is so on point that you don't even need the sauce anymore. It's cripsy and soft, perfect with rice. Or just eat it alone. Whichever, it's that good!

🍽 Spicy Beef Fried Rice (P300)
Not a fan of spicy food but I loved this one! Yes to more rice! 127834

🍽 Beef Noodle Soup (P290)
Thick broth and full of flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked and not soggy, ingredients were plenty. The soup was super tasty. 128076🏻

🍽 Lemongrass Tea
Refreshingly good! Not too sweet and just right. Plus points for the fancy cup it was served with.

Looking for your next Thai food fix? Look no mo' and just head on over to Just Thai! 🍽128523

It's hard not to fall in love with Thai cuisine. With dishes like Pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai, Pad Krapow Moo Saap, Gaeng Keow Wan Kai and refreshing Thai Milk Tea, it is a tough battle not to like this Asian cuisine. And so, when the lovely gals of The Foodie Station invited me to savor some of Just Thai's dishes, I quickly said yes and cleared my schedule for a fanTHAIstic day. (Okay, that was a lame pun but it was really fantastic and let me tell you why.)

Hello, Just Thai.

I can't believe that I've never noticed this restaurant in Forbes Town before. I've actually passed by it several times whenever I walk around Burgos Circle. I'm not sure if I'm too oblivious of my surroundings or if it's because of the fact that its signage is far from eye level. But I'm just glad to be finally acquainted with Just Thai.

I was warmly welcomed by the restaurant manager who asked me if I'd like some Thai Milk Tea while waiting for the dishes. I must say, I was impressed by Just Thai in less than three minutes.

First served to us was Poh Piah Tod (PHP270), one of the classic Thai dishes. I was so hungry when I arrived that I was drooling while taking photos of this appetizer.

And despite it not looking so mouthwatering, each bite tickled my taste buds with glee. Just make sure you dip it in the sweet and spicy sauce for that extra flavor.

Moo Grob (PHP290) or crunchy pork belly was pretty good as well though a bit dry for my liking.

But if you're the type who like lechon kawali, then this dish is for you.

We also feasted on some of Just Thai's noodle bowls namely Tom Kha Gai (PHP200), Kuai Tiao Neua (PHP290) and Shrimp Paste Surprise (PHP220).

Among the three, I liked Tom Kha Gai the most as it had a nice sweet and delicate flavor. Its light taste would make me want to finish the whole bowl. And the chicken chunks were simply delightful to munch on.

The Kuai Tiao Neua came in as a close second. Its rich sweet taste was addicting though I think finishing a bowl on your own would be a bit too overwhelming. In fact, it was so tasty that it made me crave for rice despite it being a beef noodle soup.

The Shrimp Paste Surprise was good too though I was expecting to be a bit more surprised by it. The shrimp paste or bagoong was not very defined which disappointed me. Then again, it must be to avoid the dish from being cloying.

I also liked the Sizzling Tofu & Mushrooms (PHP260) which is perfect for vegetarians.

For mains, we had Pla Rad Prik (PHP400) and Pad Gaprow Talay (PHP300) paired with Khao Krok Kapi (PHP270) and Khao Pad Phed Neua (PHP300).

The Pla Rad Prik was awesome! I loved that the tilapia skin was crunchy yet the inside was soft and juicy. It was definitely deep fried to perfection. It was also flavorful enough that you don't have to dip it in any of the sauces. But if you like richer taste, do try putting some tamarind sauce on your portion.

The Pad Gaprow Talay or mixed seafood in basil was one creamy dish but quite forgettable. I guess I was just too focused on the noodle bowls that this one failed to impress me.

I remember someone gushed over the Khao Pad Phed Neua or spicy beef fried rice. And she has all the reasons to be excited with this dish as it was scrumptious! A bowl of this is a meal on its own!

I prefer Khao Krok Kapi or bagoong rice though as it had more contrast of flavors and textures.

And what's a trip to a Thai restaurant without Pad Thai? Just Thai's Pad Thai (PHP290) was absolutely delicious! I loved its slight sweet and tangy taste and the crunch from the crushed peanuts and bean sprouts. This is definitely a must order dish!

To cap our meal, we tried Khao Niao Ma Muang (PHP260) and Tha Kho (PHP140).

Khao Niao Ma Muang is my favorite Thai dessert and Just Thai's version was great! Though the mango was not very sweet, it went very well with the sweet sticky rice.

Tha Kho was good too. Quite similar to our local maja blanca, this one is a bit gooey and tends to be messy to eat.

Overall, it was a pleasant lunch. The place just tends to be a bit too warm during lunch and when it gets packed. But with a spread just like what we feasted on, I'd definitely be back for more!

Anyone who wants to have a good Thai-me should go to Just Thai for some great food.

Thai Iced Coffee
This is a great drink for those who want a quick energy boost. It's creamy, a bit bitter at first but is sweet at the end.

Iced Tamarind Tea
This is surprisingly sweet. There are some sour hints here, but it is not as sour as expected. Very cooling and enjoyable.

Gai Sate / Chicken Satay
These chicken skewers are well done, and the peanut sauce is bursting with flavor. The addition of large peanut bits are a plus for those who want more texture with their satay, or are nuts about nuts like me.

Yam Neua / Beef Salad
Beef and salad is not a common combination, but this salad makes it work. The addition of a spiced vinaigrette adds a nice kick to the crisp vegetables and the savory beef.

Pad Thai
These noodles are nutty and are filling. A great meal in itself.

Khao Pad Phed Neua / Spicy Beef Fried Rice
This is one of the best rice offerings here, with the tender strips of beef on top of a peppery, savory mound of rice and green vegetables.

Khao Niaow Ma Muang / Sticky Rice with Mango
The classic Thai cuisine dessert. Pour some of the cream on top to add the extra layer of sweetness to the dessert. I especially love the nutty flavor of the toasted sesame seeds that are sprinkled on the sticky rice.

Just Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants in BGC. To be specific, it is in Burgos Circle. My friends and I decided to eat here after work. Good thing that is actually near our office. I can’t really remember the last time I visit Just Thai. It is really good to be back because it is another chance to enjoy their delicious and authentic Thai food.

We always have Gai Sate (Chicken Sate), Khao Krok Kapi (Bagoong Rice), and Thai Milk Tea. We also added a new dish in our usual set which is the Pad Phed Talay (Spicy Pork). The Chicken Sate was tasty and we liked it with its peanut sauce. Their Bagoong Rice was actually good for two to three persons. It contains egg, pork and sliced green mango. We could really taste the Bagoong and it was a perfect combination with the Chicken Sate. The Spicy Pork was flavorful and we could taste a hint of Basil. The pork was very tender and the spiciness level was also okay since we love spicy food. Lastly, their Thai Milk Tea was also good and it was not too sweet.

We will definitely come back and try their other dishes and even their desserts! #henrysinstaxgiveaway

Just a typical thai restau, but what makes it special? Their seafood in basil (not in the picture) the creaminess; the spiciness is just right. Plus it's good for sharing 128514

Thai fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, I like it without the sauce. The sauce is not that special just like your ordinary sweet and spicy sauce. Hahahaha the rice is pricey 128532 and the milktea is just okay 128522

Was looking forward to a nice Thai meal. We had tried this restaurant twice before but awkward opening hours (closing at 2pm or so on Saturday/Sunday) prevented us from eating there so far. As reported in other reviews, the menu is very small (at least for Thai standards). First of all, I did not feel like I was eating in a Thai restaurant (missing atmosphere). Service was reasonably quick. Unlike in other Thai restaurants, no free refill with Lemongrass juice here. Thai spring rolls were quite disappointing (apart from size of portion), not really crispy and WAY too much cilantro. For main course, I had the Green Chicken Curry, chicken was OK, curry not as yummy as in other places. No particular reason to come back; will in all likelihood stick with other Thai restaurants in the area.

Too excited to eat that I forgot to take a photo!

This restaurant has excellent service.

The food was served in less than 10 minutes and the servers were very friendly.
Also while chatting with one of the servers, we happened to "mention" (medyo nangungulit na pala kami 128540) that my sister is celebrating her birthday, so they also gave us a free serving of their coconur pudding.

The coconut pudding was sooo good! The creamy pandan at the bottom complements it very well.

Of all the dishes we ordered, my favorites were:

Pandan chicken 11088️11088️11088️11088️11088️
Pad thai 11088️11088️11088️11088️11088️
Bagoong rice 11088️11088️11088️11088️

I also suggest dining al fresco and enjoying the weather while it's still nice out. Just make sure no one is smoking outside so it doesn't ruin your meal 128540

One of the best Thai Restaurants in BGC is Just Thai. The ambiance is really nice especially at night.

We ordered Khao Krok Kapi (Bagoong Rice), Gai Sate (Chicken Sate) and Thai Milk Tea which is one of my favorite drinks. The chicken sate is really tasty and flavorful which goes well with the peanut sauce. The Bagoong Rice includes mango, pork barbecue and egg. The Thai Milk Tea is our favorite since it is not too sweet unlike the other overrated milk tea.

Overall, we liked our dining experience in Just Thai. Maybe next time, we should try their Mango with Sticky Rice as dessert.

thai lunch at #justthai: tom yum soup+chicken satay+pad thai

a friend had a craving for some hot soup & the tom yum appears to have satisfied that. just thai delivers consistently good thai food. nothing spectacular, just delicious thai cuisine like the ones you'd taste in thailand, whether in the streets or inside the malls. I particularly like the pad thai.

Very good place to have your thai food fix.

I recommend the following foods:

Starters:
Thai Spring Rolls/ Poh Pia Tod
Chicken Sate

Soup:
Tom Yum
Tom Kha Gai - Chicken Galangal in Coconut

Entree:
Beef in Red Curry
Sauteed Squid
Crispy fish fillet

Dessert:
Thatho - Coconut Pudding in Pandan Leaves

Drinks:
Brewed Thai Coffee
Thai Milk tea

The spiciness of the food can be adjusted to how much you can tolerate heat. :) this is a good option for non spicy eaters like me.
