I still remember with fondness the risks we had to overcome to get to Ditumabo Falls during our Baler trip. Thankfully, the trek to Kabigan Falls is not that difficult, though it still took us almost one hour to see the prize and here it is.

We were led to the place by a tour guide, this short woman whose name escaped me. We each paid PHP 30 for her effort. We took the opportunity to strip down to our bathing suits to dip in the ice cold water. It has been a sweltering day so the moment I hit the water I felt really good.

Our fourth itinerary for our 2nd day of our Ilocos Trip last April 30 was at Kabigan Falls. This is the memorable experience from our 2nd day trip in Ilocos.

I have no idea that we will do a long walking here. It is located already in Pagudpud Ilocos Norte. Aside from the beautiful beaches, this falls is a must visit place in Pagudpud.

Kabigan falls derived it's name from the word Kaibigan which literally means friend. According to the locals it is 120 foot fall. You have to trek for around 1 and half hour to get to the falls. I'm just wearing slippers and glad I made it there.

While walking, you will see rice fields, woodlands, hilly terrains, streams, boulders and wooden bridges. There is a preservation fee and the management would assign a tour guide that would lead you to the falls. The air was fresh there as we walked at the forest and I can hear the fresh water. It's so refreshing there. If your nature lover you will like the place. At the middle of our journey , we spotted a store that sells Buko juice and we bought since we're so thirsty. So refreshing.

When we finally reached the falls it's like mission complete, fulfilled that we saw the beauty of this fall. Our tour guide took a picture of all of us. There were many people that time so we didn't go for a quick swim, we just want to see the falls and took picture, it's enough.

Thank you to Ilocos Heritagr Tours and travel for this trekking adventure at Ilocos.
