Paired this dessert (Woo Zaah) with their Thai Coffee (must try raw). It was okay. The fried roti was crispy but it would've been better if the ice cream was creamy. It had this icy consistency to it. 128532

I am not very fond of eating spicy food but, Kafe Yen's mild spicy kick is just enough to enjoy spicy good thai food that won't burn your tongue.

So inloved with their Thai Iced tea! Sooo good!

Best to try their Yellow curry Shrimp and their fried rice with Shrimp. These2 are good for sharing for at least 2 people. Priced okay since their servings are for sharing.

One of the few Thai places in the south! We tried their curry (because it's Thai, you know the drill). There were a number of curry choices but we had Red Curry since the waiter said it's the spiciest. It was good. Great mix of herbs and spices although not as spicy as we thought. The only disappointing thing was there were only less than 10 small chunks of chicken in it. 128530 Taste-wise, I have no complaints. We also tried Thai Puffs for appetizer. It tasted like lumpiang shanghai which was okay but as you can see in the photo it's quite burnt. Overall, it was a satisfactory food experience. Nothing spectacular though. Our food took long to get served but the servers were accomodating so that makes up for it.

Okay so first of all i just wanna let you guys know that I'm not really into Thai Food. But i think Kafe Yen ( i looked it up on the internet and found out that it means "Thai Coffee") made an exception to this. I was craving for noodle soup (all the time) but during that time, i was looking for something that's spicy or sour. Fortunately, Aguirre has so much to offer. My boyfriend and I finally decided to try this restaurant he has been telling me about. Aside from their cozy ambiance (which for me is a bit misleading to the concept of their dishes) very friendly and accommodating staff, their food was really good! I ordered Bangkok Street Noodle Soup and I really liked it because of the combination of sour and garlic loaded with different kinds if vegetables, or maybe because i was craving for it too. I like how they ask you on what to put on your noodle soup. You can choose from chicken, beef, & shrimp. On the other hand my boyfriend ordered Pad See Ew. This is actually a sweet style stir fried noodle with egg and all sorts of vegetables mixed in it. It was really good! Solid! :) It was so good that i even asked my boyfriend not to finish everything so i can take it out and let my mom taste it. Hahaha! Bait ng boyfriend ko talaga :)) i also have to comment on their noodles. The way it was cooked was perfect. Not too soft, not too hard either. it was just right:) as for the price, you don't have to worry about it because it's very affordable. The price ranges from 200-600 pesos only! So If you happen to be just along Aguirre, come by Kafe Yen and try their other Thai dishes! :)

I am not asian, but been to thailand and all the known thai restos here, this is not THAI food. Ok approximate food, but not Thai. I had tom yum, it was the least hot tom yum I had, which is supposed to be throat burning hot...flavors are too neutral. Then U had green papaya salad, again, neutral on the sour side. Then the sweet tamarind sauce chicken. Very thick breading and it got soggy with the sauce. Waiter is good. I am not impressed. And I am not big on establishments who don 't serve alcohol. Overall, I think they should try harder, nothing impressed me. They shouldn't philippinize specific cuisines. Big mistake . I was planning to order desert but I want to avoid one more disappointment. Owner is nice polite lady.
And doggy bag was really a doggy bag!!!! They put our to go food in a plastic bag!!!!!

I ordered the Orange Chicken which is a house specialty. It's pretty good and there actual bite size orange bits and not just zest.

Overall this was a great resto it's actually fusion not completely Thai. I suggest ordering the Pad thai and their Singaporean fried rice (sorry no photos!). For a family of 6, the dishes are small for sharing- for two people it should be enough. Prices are average, 200- 400 128155

me and my husband ate here a couple of times already and I could say the food is excellent! I've had the chance to travel to different parts of Asia and try its cuisine and I could say this is as authentic as it can be. I'd recommend this place to everyone who wants to try one of the best Thai places in town!

I'm not surprised that they were even featured in Kris Tv! keep up the good work kafe yen! can't wait to dine there again!

If you want good thai food without going to thailand, kafe yen is the best place to be. If you're a person who wants value from each peso that you spend, the taste and quality of kafe yen's food is so amazing that it's worth every peso you would put in.

I've been eating in kafe yen from time to time and also get them as my caterer for my seminars cause they provide one of the best thai meals in the planets!

Their satay, pad thai, laksa rocks! Describing it would not give you justice, you need to try it yourself! If you're from quezon city or marikina going to kafe yen is worth the trip!

Now i have two favorite restos in BF. Kafe Yen and others!

This place can hardly be noticed along the strip of restaurants in Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes. But given it was featured in Kris TV, it sure did it enough exposure.

Not that it's a bad thing, and along with word of mouth - this place earned its prominence, which brought us here.

My family and I had a good lunch here last Sunday and was greeted with warm smiles by the owner herself, Rosemary Rafael, and the staff. They are very accommodating and attentive to check on each table periodically to see if everything's okay. This already says a lot about customer service!

The place is just a small one with a couple of tables but imagine how 185 people can fit in here after the episode of Kris TV! (Kris surely has amazing marketing gayuma, haha!)
Along with the resto, they also run a small boulangerie for breads & pastries called Manna Café (see my previous review). A very homey, family-friendly place for casual lunches or gettogethers. We were just in time for a late lunch (1.30pm), so the place was just right, not too crowded.

Moving on to what we ordered, we also got to meet the cool chef behind these Thai fusion dishes (thanks to the owner who shared stories about the resto). He came from San Diego, CA with Thai descent. I'm not surprised as to why the food is so delicious! He reads up looloo reviews too, to learn about his cooking feedback! 128526

So my family ordered the following and even wrote these in their comments/suggestions notebook, here's our collective feedback in looloo star rating, hehe:
Vietnamese Spring Rolls - 11088110881108811088 veggies are indeed fresh and cruncheehhh!

Tom Yum - 11088110881108811088 the right blend of spicy!

Red Curry - 110881108811088 a new dish for me!

Pad Thai - 1108811088110881108811088 my new go-to place for pad thai! I love how it was rich in sauce! Very delicious!

Tofu Gone Wild - 1108811088110881108811088 a boring healthy ingredient turned into a very appetizing one! It will make you add more rice on your plate! Haha! (Guilty here!)

Singaporean Laksa -11088110881108811088 my brother particularly liked this one because of its milky soup!

Crispy Catfish and Mango Salad - 11088110881108811088 something usual off our Thai menu but still never fails!

Roti - 1108811088110881108811088 topped with ice cream and drizzled syrup, a very yummy dessert to cap off the different tastes on your palate!

A pitcher of Green Tea Lychee - 11088110881108811088 fresh refreshing drink with lychee bits!

Overall, this surely was a pleasant experience for all of us. And the owners are looking forward to have the |ooloo door sticker! Well, I'm spreading the news now. 128518 Plus, just to add, their prices are very reasonable, which can be a huge factor for most of us, so this is good! 128077 Head up south guys! 128513

More power Kafe Yen and we're looking forward for another branch to open up soon!

The drunken noodle is my favorite dish and is one-of-a-kind! The basil flavor is a wonderful addition of flavor, plus the flat noodles used are super addicting! Have this dish with their refreshing Thai iced tea and you will be so satisfied!
