The sixth installment to the "must try" restos series in Baguio.

Of course, our visit to the Pines City will not be complete if we don't experience the "night life". Well basically, the night life is just a night full of music. Whether it's rock, reggae or acoustic. After all, Baguio is known to be the home of the most talented musicians and artists, alike. Since we can't find a decent bar that plays reggae music (which I really would love to watch and go to), we opted to just experience the acoustic session at the known "tambay" place --- Kaffeeklatsch.

Kaffeeklatsch is now on its 13th year of serving coffee lovers/drinkers of Baguio. According to our friend Macky, a resident and a frequent visitor of the place, Kaffeeklatsch only hires the best bands in town.
On the outside, it just looks like an ordinary coffee shop. Once you entered the place, it was arranged like you're in a library and in a recording studio in one.
The band set-up is on the first floor. The bar is just beside the band set-up and a few tables and chairs on the sides.
The second floor is divided by two sides. One side is a smokers lounge. It has open windows, small tables and chairs, and the ceiling is low for tall people like me, but it has a refreshing side to it.
The other side of it is for non smokers. It has a reclining chair, a cabinet of books and musical instruments, a number of tables and chairs in small and regular sizes.

We had a round of beer so we can hear the band play. The acoustic band at that time was great. They have a member who plays the sax, which added to its appeal. Surprisingly, they play so well, and they play a good mixture of old and new songs, including OPM.

All in all, the night ended well. The sound of the saxophone still in my memory, resonates how slow and stress-free this city is.

This place is great for music lovers and musicians. They have very good musicians that will play sets as you sip through your coffee. The food and drinks are also good however the prices are a little high for the food. 128522
