Being a Little Tokyo noob, I was really excited to come here with fellow foodies. What we tried during our very limited visit was definitely worth the wait.

We finally got counter seats inside, after a long wait and a bit of crossed wires. After some deliberation, we finally decided on an "everything on it" topping. I loved it, and it was quite filling even if 4 of us shared (in hindsight, we should've ordered one more for Marc David M lol).

Next time we'll try the one with noodles, right Christina R Marco Jose L? 128521

I think we got the everything on it Okonomiyaki. Loved it! Nice crispy exterior and moist inside. Actually tastes like a takoyaki pizza haha.

We sat by the bar and it was interesting to see the Pinoy chefs in action. I was never interested to try the noodle version but seeing how they made it makes me want to try it on my next visit.

This has been the nth time I've been here but it's been more than 2 years since I've last visited. They take reservations so better call in advance or suffer the wait.

Best Okonomiyaki I've had so far! Bitin lang because we had to split 1 order among the 4 of us. I could've devoured the whole thing with room to spare. 128514 Best to sit up at the bar and watch the chef prepare it in front of you. Completes the whole experience!

Special Thanks to Christina R, Kristin A and Marco Jose L 128536

If you want good, tasty, and authentic okonimyaki... Kagura is hands down the best in Manila. Tried others but nothing really comes close. Its so good, can finish an entire okonomiyaki by myself 128514

I do recommend the Modern Special okonomiyaki because its got almost everything on it and in it - and cheese!!!! The whole ambience feels like you're in some homey Japanese sports bar with all the baseball memorabilia and games showing on TV. You can either sit on tatami mats or at the bar and watch the cooks make the okonomiyaki in front of you (my personal preference 128539).

I've been to Little Tokyo several times but this is the first time I've visited this place (since we usually make okonomiyaki at home). I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty their seafood okonomiyaki was! Batter had good seasoning and portions were generous. In fact, I would say the taste is authentic! Can't believe I missed out on this place for so long! Will definitely return :)

What's the best way to cap of the weekend?

A Japanese pancake served with shrimps and eggs 128522

I was just discharged from the hospital and I wanted comfort food. Little Tokyo was open and luckily Kagura was as well. 128111128111 Kagura serves authentic Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pancake). Imagine a better version of takoyaki or a larger version with lots of toppings. This is good for sharing and would only cost PHP250. If you want something different and value for money, try kagura's okonomiyaki 128522

My first time eating authentic okonomiyaki. Was a bit weird at first but the taste was pretty good. It feels like eating cross between chewy batter with pork etc.

Okonomiyaki feast after class! Haha.. I am really a fan of Little Tokyo. My 先生 made us try out Okonomiyakis at Kagura, I must say it was delicious! Perfect for friends night out! Though they somehow tasted the same? But it's a great experience! I wanted to be seated inside since they have that Japanese style of venue but there were a lot of people! Haha maybe next time 128522128077128591 かグラの食べ物は美味しいですね。

I absolutely love their okonomiyaki!! Especially the ones with yakisoba on top! One okonomiyaki for yourself is enough to leave you stuffed for hours! Unless your tummy is a bottomless pit ;)

It's my first time coming to little Tokyo.
I loved the feel of the place, very authentic japanese. we chose Kagura among all other restaurants because I've been reading good reviews about their Okonomiyaki.

Before ordering, my other cousins went out to go to the restroom, so I was left with my other 3 relatives, one of those three was a two year old baby. We we're chatting while waiting for them to finish in the restroom and suddenly a big cockroach(I'm not exaggerating, it's bigger than my thumb!) crawled up the wall, all of us were hysterical, medyo na-daganan nga yung baby eh! Kawawa! We ran to get out of the restaurant, without our shoes and slippers! Yes, ganun kami katakot sa ipis! Bahala na naka-barefoot sa labas!:))

Anyway, after they killed the cockroach, i was looking around, trying to figure out where it came from. They had wooden flooring and a lot of the wood had big holes, so i was nervous the whole time na maybe more cockroaches will come out! Eww

What a great start! Haha.

We ordered Okonomiyaki, Fried Chicken and fish. Everything was really good and tastes authentic japanese! , even the fried chicken! 128525

Even with the giant ipis experience, i would definitely come back!

Asan kapa, 5 stars review kahit na may ipis! 128077

First review (not for the place, but for me, so yay! 128513)

So everytime i'm in the mood for japanese (which is almost every single time), i almost always think about Kagura's good ol' Okonimiyaki. We have all the tonkatsu places multiplying like friggin rabbits everywhere (oh right not in this country, but you get my point) as well as ramen, but can you honestly give me more than two good okonomiyaki places? Right, didn't think so. If you can, get lost coz this is my post so i'm proving a point. So when i think of Okonomiyaki, i think of Kagura, because there really isn't any other dish from here that'll probably register, and vice versa. It's really pretty much a monopoly.

So right, I wish i can remember which dish we ordered that day and it's pretty lousy that i can't, given that this IS a review and what-not, but it remember it was the most amped up type of okonomiyaki dish in their menu. Cabbage, shrimp, bacon, egg, chopped veggies, noodles, all deliciously grilled into this fat pancake topped with mayo drizzle, seaweed, and fish flakes if you care to fish out P35 more. Served in an unassuming iron hot plate, you'd surely wolf down the dish under 10minutes. No kidding. Why? Coz it's really light to eat (depending on your stomach's digestive capacity) and they take FOREVER to cook up the thing!! I was literally thinking of walking across the street ang getting myself a Big Mac while they were making it.

So yeah, need a little work on the prep time. And also, not the cleanest of places so don't be surprised. I didn't take the photo of the Mushroom character from Super Mario coz it was cute, but to emphasize the dirty walls at its back that you kinda need to ignore when you're wolfing down said food. Not too hard a feat, I promise! 128539

Enjoy!! 128522
