Kagusuan Beach is another pristine beach of Siquijor. How many more beaches does this island have? I can't even imagine how they maintain it.

As per our guide, long ago when Siquijor isn't a travel destination yet there's a private resort built here but it didn't last. Everything has been destroyed already so only a few cottages are left. Thus explains the stairs to go down from the parking area to the actual beach. It's as if you're at the middle of the forest then suddenly a beach is out there.

This beach is pretty as well and its sand gets nicer as the rainy season approaches. There are various rock formations and as you walk farther, you'll see more of this and your eyes will be delighted. The color of the sea is gorgeous; in turquoise and navy blue. The place is quiet. We're the only people there and this family of 5 who are locals enjoying a nice dip.

It amazes me how they keep their beaches clean and alive. You can be one with nature here. Walk along the beach, get that perfect tan, and see the sun as it sets. This is a place where silence persists.

Kagusuan Beach is one of the less popular destinations in Siquijor.   Situated in the quiet town in Maria lies a hidden paradise.

To get to paradise,  you have to walk a narrow road surrounded by trees.  Quiet and a lil bit eerie to be honest.  It is too quiet,  you can hear the gentle hum of the wind.  For some weird reason,  none of us blurted a word,  we walked quietly towards the jump off point to the beach.  No wisecrack remark from yours truly,
I don't want to disturb the peace.

A concrete staircase was waiting for us at the end of the road.  When they said that the beach is hidden,  they meant it.

Kagusuan is a deserted beach situated below a cliff.  There are various rock formations that adds to Kagusuan's quiet charm.  No one was there except the four of us.  There were a couple of crows flying around keeping guard.

Some may find the place eerie because of the deafening silence but i like it.  This is the perfect spot for lounging around with a good book in hand.  The quiet hum of the wind brings a sense of peace.  This is by far one of the best beaches I've visited.

If you like quiet and seclusion,  Kagusuan is for you.
