What use to be called Kaishu is now Ku-Kai! The place is relatively old; it's been around for so long but still is sort of "secret". Only those in the know (i.e. genuine Japanese businessmen, tourists, etc.) know that this is among the best Japanese restaurants in Cebu.

Ku-Kai serves among the freshest sashimi and sushi around -- their snow fish sashimi literally melts in your mouth! Their California rolls have a generous amount of crabmeat, mango and super fresh and crunchy Japanese cucumber. Yum!

I'd also love to point out that Ku-Kai serves THE BEST pork gyozas in town (or probably in the whole world)! So meaty, plump and cooked to perfection! I swear, what other people say that K******** R**** serves the best gyoza in Cebu is such a lie! Ku-Kai nails this little dumpling, hands down.

Service was not so nice, though. It was just my family's table and another at that time but it took forever for our orders to get to the table. This is definitely something to work on...

But with everything else, dining at Ku-Kai will definitely always be on my list!
