Anotehr day in kalakoa! My sister Chantal C always invites me here because she knows I can't say no! Haha. I had my usual cookies and cream smoothie but I also ordered the Orange chicken rice bowl for lunch. It was just okay, it last that tangy orange taste, but overall, it was "edible". My only concern is that it takes time for them to prepare the dish. 15-20min. Chany got the classic cheese supreme solo pizza and her usual vanilla caramel shake :)

My eyes and brain are shutting down at work so I decided to come here and get me in the sugar rush. I super loved the cream O smoothie, I ordered it again today.

My sister had a free cut class and my office is just along her school so she invited me to lunch out. I am still not familiar with the place so she suggested to come to Kalakoa because it's looloo-worthy daw!

It's located above a 7-11 so its not hard to find. Upon reaching the second to floor, an outdoor seating with faux grass flooring invited us in. We chose to eat inside though, since it's scorching hot outside. It's 12 noon!

We chose to sit by the bar. Other seats are unique too. They mostly have couch seats and Japanese style--floor seating (is that what it's called). The interior is leaning towards Hawaiian-beachy-surfer type. surfboards on the wall, cool pastel colored wall paint, mason jars and weaved hut counter. Plus, there's a lot of natural light which I really like!

Their music also fit the ambiance. It's mostly mild EDM and ukulele versions of pop music.

For the food, i don't know how i can express in words on how delicious the food are. We ordered the Tuna with Tomato and Basil Pasta (135php) it's not very big but it's very very good. The taste is perfect. The pasta- sauce-bread ratio is just perfect. The other thing we ordered is the solo sized herbed mushroom pizza (80php). It's around 7" diameter in size with semi-thin crust dough. This is how I want my pizza dough. It was not too thin like shakey's thin crust pizza and not to thick like hand tossed pizza. They gave us generous amount of mushroom toppings and the herbs are just enough and not too overpowering. And here comes the best part: the smoothies! I got the Cream "O" smoothie (Cookies and Cream) and Chantal C got the Molokai Smoothie(Vanilla & Caramel). We both loved our smoothies, me especially.

By the way, a bigger version of the pizza costs 280 and it's always on buy 1 take 1. Perfect for barkadas (especially for the college students who frequents the place, who are probably waiting for their next class)

Just one little thing: they don't give out receipts. Hmm.

I was having a really bad day today, but lunch made my day a little brighter! 9728️ thanks also to my sister 128587🏻

Lunch with my sister (yay!)
We ordered Tuna with Tomato and Basil, Herbed Mushroom Pizza (solo size) and for our drinks, Cream "O" and Molokai Smoothies!

The overall cost was around 400 pesos only and they were all great. In fact, Molokai smoothie is now added to my favorite drinks!

Indeed, i loved the food, place, and the music too! 128514
