Filipino is my go to dish when am hungry and it is still my favorite cuisine. Kalye Juan offers Filipino hits with a street concept inside the mall.

Am glad they have mostly classics. Mostly the ones I grew up with having with either my mom or our house cook preparing. It didn't meet my expectations though.

The Chicken Pastel was presented well but tasted boring. There wasn't anything exciting about it. The Ampalaya Gata was too salty having too much shrimp paste on it. Consequently, the ampalaya was too bitter. Two to wide tastes in one plate.

Got really tired with our Thursday meeting so I end up eating dinner.

I'm was so hungry and for curiosity sake, I chanced upon this resto with only one table being occupied so I was expecting for quick service.
I ordered sizzling Manok, Kalye Juan's salad (malaensalada) and a drink. After 10 minutes my ordered were served, kaya pala may free na kropek kasi matagal ang serving time.

I really like the Kalye Juan's salad; chopped green mango, onion, eggplant, tomatoes, salted egg topped with bagoong paste and it's perfect!
Nothing is special about the Sizzling Manok, tasted like chicken afritada placed in sizzling plate, yun na!

It's pricey at Php300! 128561

Good affordable Filipino food!

Their pork sisig tastes like Angeles sisig which I love. Mala Aling Lucing. Soft cuts of pork sisig with seasoning, onions then I added kalamansi and Knorr. 5/5 It's not the usual crunchy ones like Dencio's or the mayo based ones of Congo but its got good flavor and is closest to the Angeles kind. Kulang na lang vinegar.

Also had Laing which had some hints of bagoong in it so it was a nice twist.

Also ordered sizzling pusit which was in something like oyster sauce so it's also good. Well cooked yung squid.

Good place to hang out if you're looking for Pinoy grilled and comfort food, priced under P200@ dish, and for some working peeps who love to drink after office.

Closes with the mall though so hassle.

Okay, so for dinner for this special day we tried something 'Filipino'. we didn't try to look for other places anymore cause we're really hungry after being stuck in Valentine's traffic. Lol.

We ordered Binagoongang Lechon kawali, Crispy Shrimp, Kalye Juan salad also known as Ensalada and of course, rice!!!

What's good is they have kropek for appetizer which we find ourselves emptying the pot cause were both hungry. Our orders were served in about 10-15 minutes, not bad. And there we have it, at first I was like "wtf". The lechon kawali was just like a size of a normal porkchop with bagoong on top of it. The crispy shrimps were too big and they didn't even skin it, so what's the sense of being crispy after all? Is it crispy because of the skin? Somehow, the ensalada was the only thing that I ate with no complain but it doesn't save our disastrous experience in this resto. Boo! 128078128078128078

They should also add more staff and must be really attentive as well. Overall, it was bad. We should've been somewhere else instead..

I don't like their food. I had the Krispy Shrimp which is really not good. Not crispy at all. Also had the Bagoong Lechon something, also not good. The lechon kawali is not krispy. Will not dine here again. Ever.

Craving for original Filipino dish to satisfy your hunger? This place can be an option if you're at Robinson's Galleria, but here's my experience to help you decide...

I ordered the Beef Salpicao for lunch, trying out the place since I was curious about it. The Beef Salpicao tasted good. Although, when my fork pinched one of the meat, I thought i saw blood so i tried another piece of meat and yes, my eyes did not fool me the first tine. The meat was juicy but with some blood still on the meat, on some and not all though.

For quantity against price ratio, I think it was a bit pricey since there were only a handful of small cuts of meat.

Their Cheese Stick was good, you can taste real cheese and not one of those i-dont-know-where-the-cheese-is kind of stuff, haha.

I gave it 3 stars (if only there was 3.5, that would be more appropriate though) because aside from the Beef Salpicao, their Grilled Liempo good and the crew was very attentive and friendly.

Overall, I think some food on their menu is a bit pricey, the food was good but not to the point that it can impress foreigners on how Filipino food tastes like.
