This place has been around for ages. Even road constructions right in front of this establishment that took months to finish can't stop this place.

Service is top notch! And they really know their stuff. My only complaint is that their Hamachi is always out of stock. So we always settle for Gindara Teriyaki. This Black Cod is like the Wagyu of Fish. Very savory that I even eat the skin. 128523

Another staple is the Asupara Bacon, which is Bacon Wrapped Asparagus with Teriyaki Sauce. Yum!

Of course it won't be complete without their Signature Kamameshi! We always go for the Chicken or the Ebi Kamameshi, but this time we went with the Ebi. Serving is just enough for one hungry person or to share with two conservative people. Their kamameshi is always perfectly cooked and is really a great match with their Teriyaki and Stick offerings. 9786

It was Mike's first time in Kamameshi House and he had a great experience. We ordered my forever favorite Chicken rice(Must try), Beef Teppan, Chicken Terriyaki, and Spicy Tuna Roll. I had no doubt he would love this place. Plus points for the good service as always!:) We will definitely go back!:)

awesome food.
This place has been around for forever and now I know why.
The servers are polite, the ambience is relaxed.
Wouldn't say it is 100% authentic but it is still close.
The chairs are comfortable.
The table is spotless.
Bathrooms are clean.
The plates are good for 1 person but can be shared.
There are bigger plates as we'll but make sure you make room for it in your stomach.

The food is pricey, yes. but it is well worth it!
You'll see why when you get there!
Located on Zobel Roxas just before south super high way.
You won't miss it.
And even if you do, all the locals know where it is so just stop and ask for directions.
A must try!

5/5 Service
4/5 tempura (too expensive for something so small)
4/5 salmon sashimi (fresh but as always, over priced)
2/5 Chicken udon (not a fan of the soup and chicken is dry)

In the middle of traffic with no where to go plus cranky passengers with grumbling stomachs, a formula for a disaster waiting to happen. Good thing the solution was close by.

To me, Kamameshi House is one of the institutions of Japanese cuisine in the Metro. Their rice topping varieties have remained true through the years. So this visit was a welcome solution to our brewing problem.

The Kamameshi experience always starts with their Sweet Crispy Dilis with Bean Sprouts. I love this appetizer, I can eat it like ulam. In fact, we befriended the waiter just so we could get another portion. It serves to keep the appetite intact as you wait for the main courses.

Aside from the usual orders of Ebi Tempura and Beef Teppanyaki, the stars of our meal were the Chicken Kamameshi and Mixed Kamameshi. Both are served in heavy metal rice cookers sitting in wooden holders. This keeps the rice nice and hot. The rice itself is long grained, soft, and perfectly cooked. The chicken or vegetable toppings only serve to enhance the rice flavor. The containers also add a novelty to serving kamameshi. Similar to how my lola served rice in a clay palayok back in Zambales.

About a hour after we entered, the explosive situation was mitigated. Poor me as I had to drive while my four pretty passengers were all asleep. Oh well, I guess that's better than World War III!

I'm really glad that I was able to eat at Kamameshi House again after a year. Nothing has changed. The Chicken Rice is still our favorite. This time we tried the assorted grilled platter. It was good except for the quail egg, the taste doesn't seem right. What I like the most? Free appetizer! Dilis and toge!! Ftw. 128513

The ambiance is really cozy. Food is affordable. I love the noodles but I wouldn't recommend the sashimi though.
