The place can be readily accessed by any kind of transportation, may it be public or private. The place is infused with homey furniture and fixtures. The bamboo accessories on the walls add to the Filipino feel of the restaurant.

The buffet spread offers a stellar choice of Filipino cuisine from the different regions of the country. Flavorful and well presented, the different pots are worth second servings. However, the dessert bar seems unattended as the service crew were Inattentive to the different customers. The different requests from different tables required repetitive announcements to the crew. This is not particularly good.

For the price of Php 700 for 2, the food is delectable and affordable. The service should be reinvented, though.

My transplant and vascular surgeon fellow at NKTI was so hungry one Sunday duty so he asked me to eat out since we got nothing to do ( no elective OR's, quiet ER and ward rounds can actually wait).

We checked the stretch of Matalino to no avail-- Every single establishment is closed. So we went for a little chitchat. He asked what my specialty would be after boards. I said surgery. He told me, okay I will treat you so you won't forget surgery. And we so we parked at Puregold just across Kamay Kainan.

• FOOD - Food was okay, ordinary and not superb. They had limited choices though and most fried foods were oily. Minus 1 star for the food quality. What I didn't like was the lechon part. Later at service you will see why.

• PRICE - They offer lunch buffet at 285php. Not bad but I hope they improve the quality of their food and add few more dishes.

• SERVICE - On their tarpaulin outside, they claimed to offer free lechon in their buffet. So I asked the chopper and he said there is no more available. Quite disappointing because I saw some parts and asked him, "What about these sir?" Embarrassed, he just asked where is your table mam, I will just deliver it. Minus 1 star the service of that man.

I was happy since it was a treat but if I were to eat at a buffet, I won't go back here again.
