One of my family's go-to places for sulit Pinoy food. I really love the grilled liempo here, the serving is good for 5 people already.

Yesterday we decided to order grilled tuna belly and crispy pata for pickup. The travel time from our house to the resto is just enough for the food to be cooked (it's far). By the time we got back, the pata did go soft a bit but still had a lot of crunch. We practically inhaled the whole thing in 30 minutes. The tuna belly was ok per usual, but we don't like that the scales weren't completely cleaned out.

The resto was a bit busy that day, which is why it is always best for us to phone our order ahead instead of going through all that waiting and travel time when already hangry. Kudos to Angel who is very proactive in taking our orders.

We went to Bay, Laguna for an ocular inspection for our Team Building. After the inspection, we went to Kamayan sa Palaisdaan located at Bay, National Highway, Laguna.128515

Kamayan sa Palaisdaan is a floating restaurant serving Filipino dishes. We were seated in one of the floating bahay-kubo. The server/staff handed us the menu and I asked him what can he recommend. He recommends Crispy Pata, Bulalo and Tilapia. We choose Crispy Pata, Bulalo and Pancit Canton. We asked the server to serve the Pancit Canton first bacause we are really hungry that time. While waiting for the food, I checked the place and took some pictures. I noticed the statue of a woman with her animal friends around her, she is Maria Makiling the staff said. Maria Makiling is a legendary character of Laguna. I also the noticed greenery of the place, too many plants and trees around the floating restaurant. Aside from their floating bahay kubo, they also have function rooms for big groups or events.128004

When our orders came, we digged in the crispy pata first and sipped the bulalo soup... Yum! 128046

Bulalo - 11088110881108811088️ 4/5

It is better to eat surrounded with too many beautiful views.

The server assisted us well even though our location was not near enough with their station. 128077🏼

Went to Sta Cruz yesterday with Ching to visit her departed ones at the local cemetery, after which decided to have lunch at this place and this was the review:

Service 128078128078 (the pic showed it) it took almost 45 mins to have that order served128561

Food was ordinary the suso was sooooo small with "pako" drowsed in ginataan, the laing was so so...in fairness sarap naman but the size of the suso was too small, looks like the baby suso was harvested to comply with the order128556my halo halo was without the letche flan and ice cream, mas masarap pa un halo halo at the Villamor Airbase cafeteria 128514 ginataan tilapia was ok128077letchon kawali was konti in contrast to our expectations and no sarsa of Mang Tomas...ano ba yan128561 sweet and sour shrimps doesn't meet my standards128078

Parking and CR are ok clean ambiance 128077128077128077like the bahay kubo style concepts of floating Resto

I suggested this place for dinner on our way home from Pangil. This is my go to place for something nature-y when I was still studying at eLBi. It was all cottages surrounding a lake with lots of fish you can feed. At 9pm most of the items in the menu were not available. What we were able to order were:

Sinigang Na Baboy - It was good but lacks the asim that sinigang should have.
Lechon Kawali - It was good and it was not that oily so very good!! Haha.
Bicol Express - Love!! Spiciness is just right for my taste.
Buttered Shrimp - I liked this but it wasn't whooooaaaaaa sarap.

It was a challenge calling the waiters because the place was so big and the tables with customers were scattered. But once we requested for something, they brought it right away. 128077

Floating restaurant!

Pros:
128077 Great ambiance! Surrounded by trees, pond and fishes. The kubo (where you are going to eat) is floating and you will really feel the sway. But don't worry, it's not nakakahilo. :p They also have wooden slides and swing.

128077 Affordable pinoy foods! Their viand is good for 2-3 persons. What I liked is their Ginataang Hipon. I don't eat hipon but I liked the other ingredients, like the pumpkin and gata. Their Sizzling Pusit and Pakbet are also good! Try it!

128077 No problemo at parking lot, they got enormous space!

Cons:
128078 Super slow service. They took almost an hour to serve our foods. They even served the last viand when we're already done eating.

128078 Not well maintained restrooms. The interiors are good, I appreciate it but the floor and cubicle stinks. Tissues scattered all over. Sink doesn't work. So uncomfortable.

128078 Staff/waiters are missing when you need something. I saw their kitchen and I somehow didn't like it. Looks unclean. They don't even wear hairnet and uniform inside. Yikes.

So-so. It was just okay for me. New experience, atleast. 128522

The place looked wonderful! :) The bahay kubo/tables were floating on a body of water. Vomit-inducing, if you move too much, but it was a great view. Food? Just enough. The beef steak, wow. :D

When you're down South in the land of hot springs and buko pies of Laguna, have a good ole homecooked meal that's truly Pinoy. Kamayan sa Palaisdaan (or Palaisdaan for short) beats Gerry's Grill or Dencio's by a mile. Palaisdaan offers the usual Pinoy fare such as the famous bulalo, sinigang, and inihaw but also offers the ambience similar to a feast in the province as you dine al fresco in the kubo or balsa.

There's a lot to love about this place and as I type this review, I'm slowly dozing off because of sheer kabusugan. *burp*

"Great Ambiance suggesting a Painted Scene"

Stuck in Laguna and craving for your favorite Filipino dishes? Then it's to visit Kamayan sa Palaisdaan sa Bay! The (almost?) two-hectar floating resto exudes a great ambiance suggesting a painted scene situated along the national highway of Bay (Ba-e for Lagunenses). They serve wide arrays of filipino dishes mainly consist of soup, fish, pork, chicken, seafood and pulutan. Awesome place to visit specially if your in a big group (each hut can accomodate 10 people). I always go to KPB with Nanay & yesterday here are the foods that we enjoyed:

127860Bicol Express (P200) - My favorite dish! made of gata, shrimp paste & diced pork meats with lots of chopped siling tulis. It never fails to provide a spicy (and a bit sweet) experience so I make sure a glass of water is always available before I start eating. Hot!

127860Grilled Hito (P100 - Half) - my Nanay's favorite dish. Fresh from their own pond! (you heard me right) Tender fish meat with it's tasty and crunchy skin! Yes, you can order this in half :))

127860Ginataang Laing (P150) - soft gabi leaves oozing in coconut milk. It was made mild that I did not even tasted any hints of spicyness. Perfect match for Bicol Express and Grilled Hito!

127860 Ripe Mango Juice (P50) - made from scratch so it was very refreshing! (and yes loolooers, they serve green mango shake too!)

✳BONUS TIPS✳
✅30 minutes away from Calamba
✅You can order food until 9PM
✅mini playground for kids and young at heart so this is also a perfect place for Family
✅Parking area is huge!
✅It's oh-kay to smoke
❎CR needs (major!) improvement
❎Wait time for your ordered food might take 30 minutes to 1-hour so I highly recommend to call ahead of time. For reservations, call (049) 568-0255 or 0910-885-8888 (look for Guada or Ding Delos Santos)
