Our boss invited us for dinner last Saturday so that our Australian Manager can get a taste of our local dishes. And the top choice for the venue is Kanin Club.

I've known this resto for their crispy liempo and crispy dinuguan, 2 of their signature dishes. Our Australian boss liked the dinuguan. He enjoyed it so much that he bought us several bottles of San Mig Light.

We also tried 5 of their rice variations - aligue, tinapa, chorizo, binagoongan and yangchow. We also ordered pansit canton but i found to be auite salty.

Overall, prices are reasonable. What disappointed me was the 'kumon' restroom, add to the fact that it's small. They should at least allocate separate rest rooms for men and women, especially for guests with kiddos.

Me and some friends ate here for dinner after walking around the area. I was craving for Filipino food that night so I asked them we should check this place out. 9786

All our orders were good! From the rice, to the chicken curry, crispy dinuguan, and green mango salad. 128512 These were among their bestsellers. No wonder why. 128522

The place was dimly lit, though. There was also water dripping from the ceiling right next to where my friend was seated, so -1 for that.

But for the food? I'd give it 5 stars. 128077

Our whole team at work ate dinner here last 07.31.15.. I love their appetizer that's like chicharon. The Chicken, Kare-kare, Nilagang Tadyang and the Bagoong Rice is really really great.

Ordered the Crispy Tadyang (P345.00), Binukadkad Pla-Pla (P270.00), Sinigang rice (P250.00), Crispy Dinuguan (P290.00), Turon (P100), and Mais Con Yelo (P125.00). One would be surprised with the prices without actually trying it yet. Turon for 100? Rice for 250? No worries since everything is for sharing (well depends on your appetite). The rice looked good for 3-4 persons, turon was 4 pieces with pleasant surprises awaiting your taste buds. Crispy Tadyang was a bit tough and this critic has tasted better pla pla. Mais Con Yelo was alright and some staffs were attentive to the customers needs. BChairs were not comfortable at all and if you dig old Filipino settings and music then you would enjoy the place. Highlights would be the sisig like dinuguan (yes you read it right, try this to see what I mean). Turon again was another spectacular surprise. Their dishes are definitely worth coming back for, as long as we don't talk about those wooden chairs we're good.128077

This is another Filipino restaurant favorite. My most loved dishes here are Crispy dinuguan and sinigang rice. I can probably eat up the entire serving of rice that's meant for two to three people. These two are just perfect partners for me.

Kanin Club is one of those restaurants that are all about good and affordable home cooking... A must try is their sinangag na sinigang as well as their fish dishes... My favorite is their crispy dinuguan bagnet slices simmered in a rich blood sauce... The menu offers more delectable enreés that will make you ask the waiter for more kanin... But be sure to come early as the place is always full for lunch and dinner...

I may have recommended their usual best sellers which are main courses; now i would like want you food lovers to meet their Ala mode (turon that is like a crispy halo halo with beans and ube, with ice cream in the middle-- choices are: ube, macapuno and cheese). This yummy treat for the birthday weekend! Woot! Oh its 150php good for 2 persons :)

That was last night saktong walang ulam sa bahay, kaya we decided to eat nalang outside..

Their crispy dinuguan is a WINNER!! there's no malansa after-taste as to other dinuguan Ive tried in restaurants. Serving size is already good for sharing but budget friendly as well. If you are a rice person, avail of their Kanin-all you want.

I'm back and this time ordered crispy dinuguan.... Crispy talaga :-). It's really good but at the same time nakakatakot kainin. Because it's covered with black sauce you really don't know what your eating. Texture is like chicharon na may taba and laman. Not so healthy if ganun nga :-). But it's really good =)

This was the first time I had dinuguan (ever) and sinigang rice.

Salt and pepper squid 110881108811088
Dinuguan 110881108811088️ - cause maybe I didn't know how it normally tastes like but they say this is their best seller
Sinigang rice 11088110881108811088️ - can be considered a full meal in itself

I was craving for Crispy Dinuguan so I convinced my family to have our Father's Day lunch here. 128513

It was my first time in this branch. I must say that the structure of the place is pretty interesting. It has 2 floors(loft type) and on the second level there are two sub levels(I call it 2.5 and 2.25). To be able to go to 2.25, you need to pass by 2.5 first( so up then down). We were seated on 2.25.

As soon as we were seated, we talked about how hard it must be to take the orders/dishes back and forth from the first level to the upper levels(the plates and serving dishes look really heavy). I even joked that the place should have an escalator for the dishes. Coincidentally, after that conversation, a tray full of empty plates slipped from 2.5 to our area. 128557 Good thing no one was hurt and hindi naman nabasag lahat. I think hindi kinaya nung foldable table base where they place trays when serving food (not sure kung ano tawag dun). I feel sorry for the waiters bec the management might make them pay for the damage.

Anyway, we ordered the following:
Tinapa rice - i already tried this before and it's still good
Crispy dinuguan - the best!! 128077128077128077
Sinigang na salmon belly - it's just okay, nothing special
Seafood karekare - okay lang din, the squid is hard and chewy. It's a bit dry for me, i prefer karekare with generous sauce

For the service, it's slow but I'll let it pass because of the circumstances. I just wish they find a more efficient way to manage the areas.
