Everyone should try this delectable Turon! It's not the usual Turon that you are accustomed to. Filled with sweet beans, macapuno and ube! The covering is coated with sugar glaze which makes it more yummy. Another plus factor, the portions are huge. Good for sharing. Your damage? Only 100pesos.

First lunch of the year with wifey and our uncle! We chose Kanin club because our tito never tried it and was looking forward to trying it.
We ordered the ff:

Crispy tadjang NA baka: pretty good but gerrys grill's is better
Salt and pepper calamari: where's the salt and pepper? Didn't taste nice and calamari was not fresh!
Bagoong rice: didn't try but wifey said it was bland and boring
Garlic mushrooms: mushrooms from a can... Hell no!
Green mango Thai salad: too sour and not balanced
Sigarilyas sa gata: pretty good
Crispy dinuguan: FTW!

Over all, was disappointed with Kanin club. Pretty good but not as good as locavore or mannam. I'm guessing they sat on their laurels for too long and allowed the competition to beat them IMHO.
Happy new year everyone!

Lunch has always been the highlight of fqmily weekends. This time, we chose not to wander off as we might get caught in the coming-back-to-Manila traffic past the APEC holidays.

We chanced upon Kanin Club at Westgate - blessed with a multitude of vacant seats, just after our 10:30am mass. This place is always jam packed especially during weekends.

We got our usual heavenly laing, the unforgettable crispy dinuguan and a new addition to our favorites, sinigang na salmon belly sa miso (in the photo). Plus of course, our staple rice here - tinapa rice! We were surprised that one order each of the sinigang, laing and krispy dinuguan were just enough for the 7 of us (well, that's four hungry adults, two seniors and one three year old).

As usual (and consistent with other Kanin Club branches), we had to wait a while before our main orders got served. The waiting time is actually enough for one to finish a glass of drinks. But that's just right, as the food is cooked to perfection. You know how much effort and time it takes to prepare Filipino food.

As we left Kanin Club, there was already a long line of customers waiting to be served. Great timing and a true blessing indeed!

My family and I loved all the dishes that we ordered. It was our first time to try Kanin club so we tried their bestsellers: Crisoy Dinuguan, Sinangag na Sinigang, Crispy Binagoongan, Pork BBQ and Turon KC ala mode. 5 stars for all of these! The Crispy Dinuguan was a life changer since I never ate dinuguan before :)) For me, there is ALWAYS room for desserts! The cherry on top of my Kanin Club dining experience was the Turon KC ala mode. When I took my first bite, nako, HEAVEN! I really loved it!! The sweetness was just right. What I really loved most is the turon wrap which was caramelized and has sesame seeds. Heaven!!!!! The combination of ube, ice cream, macapuno, banana and monggo was just PERFECT! I swear that I will come back to try other dishes and to have a taste of thi heavenly dessert again!! :) 5+10 stars for this!! 10084

I never eat Dinuguan. Maybe it's the color that's off-putting for me. But once I got a taste of this, my life changed! Haha. Not really. But at least I get to eat Dinuguan now 128523

This place is always busy. A lot of families dine here especially during the weekend (even until late night) so be prepared to wait in line 128522
We ordered the usual "pampabata" dishes 128513 We had Kanin Club's signature crispy diniguan, kare-kare, sinigang na liempo & camaron rebosado. Everything tasted great. Winner for me is the Turon KC that we had for dessert. It's like a halo halo turon. An order costs 100 pesos & you get 2 big pieces of turon which is recommended for sharing.
Service is always courteous and prompt. The place has a homey atmosphere 128156

We went here for late lunch (230-ish) and the place was still packed. Glad we didn't have to wait for hours. Here are our verdicts -

Crispy Dinuguan 128074128074128074128074128074
Still the best in their menu (the only one for this visit)

Sinigang na Tadyang ng Baka 128074128074128074
Sour as it should be, but lacked saltiness. Meat is as tender as I want it

Tapa ni Ana 128074128074
It tasted just okay. I don't remember it being just okay when we ate here before. Serving size for price ratio is 128078

Pancit Lucban 128074
Bland, too bland, nothing like Pancit Lucban at all.

Drinks - Calamansi Juice & Iced Tea 128074
Again, bland, like diluted-with-water bland.

Service 128074128074
Only 2 servers manning their packed second floor dining area. Customer service is meh.

Not a very good experience. I know it's a busy kitchen but there's no excuse for substandard service nor food. I miss the comfort this place brings.

Boooo for there service.

We went here to hang out and because of a friends recommendation to eat here. And of course to ultimately taste there famous Crispy Dinuguan and there Sinangag na Sinigang. We are like 11person. In some point we are wrong for not having a early reservation. But the fact we waited for more than an hour just to have a seats. At first we are so nice to politely waited in line that we are in 4th in line. And then we are the PRIORITY. Few minutes I when out to fetch our friend. The receptionist guy didn't politely updated my friends but allowing small group to get in first. I though we are priority? What happen to that part? Maybe we are starving, tired and pissed off to the receptionist guy. Badtrip. Kaya we transferred to other. 128078128078128078128078128544

After almost 3 weeks of European food, we were craving for some 'ulam and kanin', hehe! So we headed over to Kanin club for dinner last night.
I'm not really too fond of Kanin club and according to foursquare, my last visit was May 2011. 128513 but the circumstances called for their sinangag na Sinigang! We also got their pork salpicao and crispy binagoongan. Had the sniffles so I also ordered a glass of calamansi juice.
Everything arrived in less than ten minutes although all at the same time (the salpicao was an appetizer). Found the pork a bit too tough too. The sinangag na sinigang was good albeit I still prefer my sinigang to be wet haha! The crispy binagoongan was cooked perfectly if I may say.
All in all it was a good 'welcome back' dinner ü

I don't eat dinuguan but when my siblings let me try just one bite of their Crispy Dinuguan, I ended up finishing one serving.

My boss introduced this resto :) (his treat of course haha), I love the place and food!! Very pinoy. The place was made of wood and served filipino dishes. My favorite is the sinigang which was very sour (I love it!!! <3) Not the common sinigang because it was made of rice with sabaw, meat on top! Like the kare kare and dinuguan!!

Tried the Kanin Club in Alabang for my mother in law's birthday.

We had crispy pata, stuffed squid, nilagang tadyang, pancit and their famous desserts.

All the Filipino dishes were just okay, except the stuffed squid which had very chewy stuff I could not eat it.

I just fell in love with their desserts.

Nice filipino ambiance. Tentative and not-so-friendly staff. Tried out the Seafood Kare-Kare and Crispy Dinuguan. Both tasted really good considering the disappointing serving size. Their Iced Green Tea was okay. I think the paper straw gave a really disturbing taste though. haha

The Kare kare was ok... Dough we ordered oxtail but they have tripes on it...the crispy dinuguan needs more spice and acidity from vinegar... The meet are more of chicharon... The crispy pata is just the usual...all of the dishes we tried are more on salty and not tasty..the crab omelet the squid and the mushroom with tofu which they called Kanin vergies are just like a soup dish...

In short my friends and I wont even crave for their dishes for us to go back....
