We're about to have dinner at GastroPark. But, when we saw tables still available, we decided to dine in here and give it another chance. The last visit was one of the worst visits we experienced here. But there are chances to proved themselves again.

We asked the staff first if our orders were available. I ordered tuyo with keso puti, ze gf ordered tinapa.

We were happy with what they've served. Food were served at the same time, food was tasty & did not dissapoint. We're lucky we were seated in front of the fan (finally hindi mainit that time).

I absolutely love Kanto Freestyle but for this particular visit, I'll have to give a sad lone star. I still love the taste of food but everything else was just bad.

We arrived around 1pm and understably had to wait in line because it's a holiday. And since the food is affordable, I think it's fair to condone how poorly ventilated the dining area is. It looks like a garage, no airconditioners, and only has 2 ceiling fans and 3 stand fans. But okay, all part of the theme.

What I couldn't stand was the really long wait. We were seated past 1pm and our food took almost 40 minutes to arrive. We were very hungry and so were the other diners who were already giving the servers the death stare because their food was also taking really long.

What was unacceptable was that, despite the delay, MY TAPA HAD A FLY IN IT (see 3rd photo). Imagine if I didn't see it and ate it accidentally. I was halfway done with my plate and was way too hungry that I just took the fly out including
the strip of beef where the fly stuck (I'm positive that the fly was cooked with the beef with the way it looked.) The servers were all so busy that I was worried it would take them another 40 minutes to whip up another plate if they replace it. Ugghh!!! That visit gave me headache and to think I was so excited to eat at Kanto Freestyle again.

If you're looking for a place to have affordable and simple food, go to Kanto. Other than that, don' set your expectations too high or you might end up disappointed.

For everything we got durint this visit, we paid only P429 so it's really quite affordable. But food taste wise, nothing special.

New Zealand Beef Tapa 110881108811088
Spam and Egg 110881108811088
Soy chicken 110881108811088
Hot pan de sal (pesto, kesong puti and cream cheese) 1108811088

Also, if you want airconditioning and a comfortable atmosphere, this is not the place to be. The place has electric fans in various places but still can't quite get the cool air flowing.

We were seated at a table na hindi abot ng hangin ng fan. So meaning mainit. OA nko nyan.

Arrived at 11:30PM luckily we didn't have to wait for seats. Orders usually served 10-15minutes. People arrived in groups on Tuesday night.

I ordered the Bacon & Eggs. Served with fried rice, 2 eggs, 3-4pcs of bacon, and tomato w/ pesto sauce. Food was oily but taste was great. It was worth the P95/plate.

Sobrang humid lang that night na pagpapawisan ka sa init ng lugar kahit may fan.

What's the best thing to do on a midweek holiday? Foodtrip!!!

Now please excuse Patrick V on the side of the photo, first! He's really excited for the Eggs Benedict! 9996🏼️9996🏼9996🏼

I was tagged along with the guys and girls of Kaladkarin for lunch at Kanto Freestyle Breakfast in Kapitolyo, Pasig. I arrived a bit late from our call time, but at least I still made it. :p

It's my first time in this branch since I'm a regular and much nearer to their original branch in Mandaluyong, so I kinda expected, at the very least.

I already had a light meal at home so I just went for the pancakes. Banana Peanut butter pancakes were my first choice, but it wasn't available so I opted for the Ube White Chocolate ganache pancakes. Unlike the last time I went to Kanto Freestyle in Mandaluyong, the pancakes were really sad. Tough and bland. And I even asked myself, "where's the chocolate ganache?". And then I found a small portion of chocolate sauce on the side and realized, "ah yun na pala yun!" 128517

The ube ice cream was quite good, but nothing really special about it. Nothing really special with the one I got, actually. So when Marc David offered the Eggs Benedict on the table, I quickly had a piece of it and it wasn't that bad at all.

A perfect rating for the price because everything on the menu was really affordable. There were quite a number of great dishes I've tried so I'd still recommend this place, though this visit has only 3-stars on my books.

Open 24hrs! 128563 like i can have breakfast at 11pm...

The supposedly 12pm start of food tripping at kapitolyo started here at kanto stlye. The usual early bird Kristin A arrived and took her order first. I arrived after 15 minutes and apologized for having her wait. I checked the menu to see that the prices are so low--so sulit for breakfast! Tamang tama this is my first meal of the day!

128204 mixed berries pancake @95php
The order was heavy. Three starchy pancakes with heavy strawberry and blueberry syrups on top. There's an iota of butter too that did not melt cause the pancake was not hot. The maple syrup (which was sugar based) was scanty too but really it's not necessary cause the mixed berries syrup is enough.

128204deep fried oreos
Meh. Haha. Kristin loved this.

We were really enjoying our date back then (kasi ang tagal nila Patrick V at Russel F) the ambiance not really sossy in fact it's kulob alfresco type. Lol. Small dim lightbulbs hang. The seats were hard at the and the table were shaky. It really is kanto style. 128538

Our date was suddenly nagambala because Marc David M and his wife surprised us! I got to try

128204 choco nut champorado @80php
Big serving!! This was actually marc's daughter's order. The choconut was just powdered on top of the dish. It really is chocolate. Sweet.

The honey chicken was big also! This is one meal i should order the next time i visit a branch. The double date has ended when patrick followed by russell's arrival. They live very far kasi. Mas nauna pa sila Dennis O, Elaine O and Roland O dumating sa taco vengo 128517128517128517

The place has no wifi. Can be jampacked noon time.

The impromptu food crawl started. #kaladkarin

Did you know that this Chicken Meal is only Php99.00 at Kanto Freestyle Breakfast, Kapitolyo, Pasig. And the quality of this Honey Garlic Chicken serves with Garlic Rice, Pesto Tomato and Honey Mustard "parang hinde pang Php99.00", maybe in the other restaurants "mga Php200.00". Aside from the Chicken Meal we've got Tsok-nut Champorado with Tuyo for Php80.00 and Crispy Pork serves with Garlic Rice, Pesto Tomato and Liver Sauce for Php99.00. "Sobrang Mura Sobrang Sulit".

Whenever people find out that I am a foodie, most ask me if I have been to Kanto Freestyle Breakfast. The place seems to be very popular to yuppies and almost all of my colleagues know Kanto. And when I went for the first time, I realized why it’s such a hit.

Hello, Kanto Freestyle Breakfast!

The branch near my Pioneer office is located in a dark street making it a bit scary if you’re going alone. (It’s best to come as a group if you want to visit at night.)

The place was slightly packed (considering that it was a Wednesday night) but my colleagues and I easily got a table for three.

The first thing that I noticed when I saw the menu was its super affordable food! No wonder people love this place! I ended up ordering: Tinapang Galunggong (PHP95), Ham and Cheese Omelette (PHP70), Grilled Buttered Suman with Ube, White Chocolate and Goya Ganache (PHP75) and extra bacon (PHP25) simply because bacon is LOVE.

The Tinapang Galunggong came with garlic rice, fried eggs and tomato pesto. For its price, it was such a steal! The fish wasn’t that salty and it went really well with the tomato pesto. I also loved the crispy bacon which was divine with sunny side up eggs.

The Ham and Cheese Omelette was great too. It was oozing with cheese so cheese lovers will love this! Warning: You have to eat this with rice as it could be too salty.

The dessert was something interesting. The suman was slightly crispy because of the grilled sides. I never had suman with ube, white chocolate and goya ganache before so I had no basis for comparison. It tasted fine and it wasn’t too sweet making it a pretty good dessert. But I wasn’t too fond of it.

I had a great time at Kanto. Service was quick, food was pretty good, and price was crazy affordable! I left with a happy tummy and wallet.

Kanto Freestyle Breakfast is the most mentioned place in our office because it opens early and they have good food at a good price. My visit to Kanto Freestyle before wasn't so good. Service was bad and the food we had was just okay and not worth waiting for an hour. My colleagues wanted to eat at Kanto for lunch. I had a better place to go to by I thought of giving them anoter try. Pag madami kasama, madamika matitikman 128512. The place was full at that time of the day but it only took us 8 minutes to wait for a table. We ordered a lot but I will only be reviewing the ones I tried.

CHOCNUT CHAMPORADO TOPPED WITH TUYO PHP80
I enjoyed this! The best way to cure a person feeling under the weather. I love the rich chocolate and thick rice porridge. The best part about this is that they added a favorite sweet treat by filipinos, chocnut. It was creamy but they did not put too much sugar which I liked the most. I love the sweetness of the chocnut and milk plus a bitter aftertase from the cocoa. I asked to have the tuyo removed because I don't eat fish. So I am guessing that'll be sweet, bitter and salty. Interesting. 128512

NEW ZEALAND TAPA PHP110
One of the best sellers of Kanto Freestyle. Unlike other places that serve tapa. They used a traditional way of cooking tapa. Salty and chewy. The tapa was good but nothing really special about it. It was served with egg on the side and two slices of tomato with pesto. The contrast between the saltiness of the meat and the asim from the tomato was delicious.

MIXED BERRY PANCAKES PHP95
The most gorgeous looking plate on the table. I can tell just by looking at it that they use manufactured ingredients. The berries were not fresh but I think they came out of a can. Syempre, sa halagang 95 naghanap ka pa ng fresh pick haha. The pancake was okay in taste. The pancakes were cooked really well too. I initially thought it was dry because the cakes were too big but it wasn't. Warm and moist plus butter and cold berries and syrup on top.

VIGAN LONGGANISA PHP95
Their Vigan longganisa looked really good when it reached the table. It was served with tomoatoes and egg on the side like the tapa. I like that it wasnt too garlicky and it tasted good.

Just basing on the dishes I tried, overall food is a 4 but it's really the service that's bad. I hope they really do something about it. It was hard to call someone and I saw 2 ladies chatting at one corner. The other one saw me when I raised a hand and she ignored me. Tsk3 people love it here and it's a huge hit to people looking for affordable food but They have to take care of their customers too.

It's decent food at great prices. Not the other way around. How can you go wrong with P100++ plates. I can have this twice even thrice a week... Cheap and parang lutong bahay, no frills, no parking128524, no aircon, may langaw... Not a surprise though, you're in the Philippines, outdoors. I am eating food quality, because as a place I've been back here a lot of times.... All for breakfast

what I like in this place is the feeling that you are not deprive to have a good meal for a low budget.
the place wants to give you the feeling of eating in the hotel even if u are only in the garage. however don't expect too much with the taste as the price range only Php80-150.

to sum it all? I like here.

Order SCRAMBLE (40 pesos) It will take you back to your childhood days. Here's a tip, ask for extra powdered milk. It made mine taste better. You're welcome! 128522

As for their rice meals, I like HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN. For 99 pesos, it already comes with your choice of plain or garlic rice and tomatoes with pesto sauce. Their dip complemented the flavor of the chicken. It's so good you'd want to order it again on your next visit!

My best friend is a huge fan of breakfast food so this place was a no brainer. 128522 I ordered tinapa and she got tocino. There was nothing out of the ordinary about the presentation of the food: two pieces of tinapa, two slices of tomato topped with pesto, fried rice and a sunny side up egg, very traditional and comforting. The tinapa was perfectly salty, and the extra kick of the pesto on the tomatoes brought a smile to my face. We also ordered ice scramble, which made me feel a little nostalgic for my lost youth (lol 128514). I did feel that the prices were too high though. I'm pretty sure that several tapsilogans all over the country have the same taste and are a lot cheaper. Nevertheless, I did enjoy this trip and wouldn't mind going back. 128522
