I don't know why people are raving about breakfast food in Kanto. Nothing's really special. I ordered Tapsilog. Their tapa is kinda sour. Weird. Small serving for a cheap price.

Nothing special in the presentation. Plus the place was very hot. Nothing beats Recovery Food for food-to-get-you-sober.

Server recommended crispy pork belly and batangas beef tapa. Being new to the place, we went with it. Also ordered barako coffee and kanto eggs Benedict. requested to have the tomatoes removed. When the food arrived, the tomatoes were still there. The pork in the crispy pork belly smelled off. The tapa was blah. Halfway thru the meal, the coffee arrived but only because we reminded the server of it. The pandesal in the eggs Benedict to did not taste freshly made. The ham tasted bleh. The egg tasted rancid- not like some lemon was added to it. The service was perfunctory. When weasked thr server why the tomatoes were still included when we requested it not be included, she mumbled something. Overall, a very dissatisfactory experience. Hated it.

I fell in love with their vigan longganisa. 128525 Finally, a place near my office where I can get decent breakfast meals without hurting my wallet.
I also tried their peanut butter pancake, its okay but I'll stick with their rice meals next time. Their ice scrambble is good too. 128516 Minus one star due to ventilation.

After several months, I was able to had lunch again at Kanto Freestyle. Ordered Tuyo flakes with kesong puti. Tuyo was a bit salty than the usual. Overall, the meal's just okay. :)

Vigan Longganisa with scrambled eggs and garlic rice? What a perfect breakfast to start off the day! Although the longganisa were thin, the serving was just enough for me. It had just the right saltiness and can be eaten without the vinegar but I prefer mine with the vinegar plus sili. The scrambled eggs were okay as well, fluffy and not bland. While eating, I was entertained by the framed clever and funny quotes on their walls. Serving time was a bit slow though but will still go back for their other breakfast bites.128521

Late post. It has been a year since I last visited Kanto with my past officemates and the boyf. This time, I went there to have breakfast with my new officemates. This time, the ventilation is quite better and it felt like they have more room for bigger groups.

Prices are still the same and the staff are still pleasant as ever! The food, well... Their Pampanga Tocino was quite caramely to the point that it gave me this "suya" feeling. Good thing, their tomato pesto somewhat balanced that taste and oilyness. For a busog-lusog breakfast, I'd say it's still sulit. ;)

Been wanting to try Kanto for the longest time so I came up with the idea to finally tick it off my bucketlist one morning after a not so busy graveyard shift at work. Their Mandaluyong and Kapitolyo branches are out of the way, thanks to their Libis branch, the experience came in handy.

Taste-wise, I made the right choice with their Batangas beef tapa. The beef strips were in perfect match with their vinegar. 128523 Doc C, on the other hand, ordered a French Toast with Bacon and Egg, which according to her, was equally good. For our dessert, Doc C got the Pancake Platter (all 3 selections but in mini pancake sizes), while I had the Mixed Berry Pancakes alone. I bet we were too full from the main meal to even finish all of it. Good point is that it's not too sweet, just to heavy for the tummy I guess. I didn't even bother waking up for lunch after that.

Serving size is 128076🏻 for the price. Most of the items in their menu are below 100 pesos. Good deal, isn't it? Plus points for this branch 'coz it's clean, there are enough seats and I loved their interiors and wall frames. Serving time is okay, considering that we went there on a peak hour, around 6 AM. Definitely going back to try more of the items in their menu.

If you're on a limited budget but want something good to eat, you should try out kanto bfast!

Nothing is more than 150php from what I recall! Their serving is big and filling too! :)

And also you should try their ice scramble!! :) brings back childhood memories, cause we all know there are only limited ice scramble vendors now. :)

Value for Money would be the perfect phrase to describe Kanto Freestyle.

It's open 24-hours and serves affordable meals which are plated as if it values more.

Don't worry, it surprisingly tastes good.

Their Batangas Beef Tapa is a hit and almost sold out most of the time. If it's out, go for the Tuyo with Kesong Puti, Longaniza or Honey Galic Chicken.

Their Pancakes are also promising. 128077🏻

I've been in Eastwood for two years and this was my first time to try the so-called 'Kanto'.

Vicinity speaking, I was doubtful on trying here because it seems 'not clean'. But, most of my officemates have tried here and they said that food was affordable and satisfying.

I was invited by a friend to have breakfast here. I already ate at home, but I thought that I can just have a light snack just to try the food here.

I ordered Fluffy Pancake Topped With Goya and Chocnut Ganache for 99 php. Who wouldn't fall for that name?! It has 3 pancakes and a sweet, thick, yummy chocolate on top. It was really good especially if you have a sweet tooth. However, there's an umay factor when you've eaten half of it.

It was 10 am - a little early for lunch or even a late breakfast for anyone, yet the place was almost full of customers. People come and go. It was a blockbuster hit actually.

Don't expect a nice comfy ambiance on the place. Just go for their food.

I read so many reviews about this restaurant that say their food is not only good, but also cheap. I wasn't disappointed!

My friends and I tried their tuyo & kesong puti (P99), crispy corned beef (P99), and daing na bangus (P99) Kanto Boy Breakfast. All of these are served with 2 eggs, garlic rice, and tomato pesto. We also ordered their Pancake Platter (mini versions of 3 of the pancakes in their menu). We chose the Ube White Chocolate Ganache, Goya Chocnut Ganache, and the Oreo Cookie Butter pancake! The Pancake Platter costs P170!

The food was as simple as you can imagine but was delicious. 9786️ The place was kinda sketchy and kinda hard to find plus we waited a long time for our food to be served though.

Kanto's value proposition is to offer gourmet breakfast at an affordable price.

Indeed, most of their foods are priced in the Php 100 range. And presentation wise, the foods really look high end. However, the foods seems ordinary. Lastly, the service is soo poor. Yes, it takes time to prepare the dishes to make them presentable. But waiting for 30 minutes or more seems not so good! Further, the crew tend to forget our requests, even though the number of customers are not that plenty.

So, if you're planning to eat at Kanto, better not to go of your really starving already.

Didn't like the ambience - too dark, too plain, a little dirty.

As for the food, the Batangas beef tapa was too salty, their Vigan longganisa is mediocre, but the Crispy pork belly was quite good though!

Affordable meals at P99.

Net net, everything balances out. You get what you pay for.

'Met up with a friend of mine in Eastwood, we both cant decide where to eat and she was absolutely famished. Out of all the food places in eastwood the first thing I thought of was Kanto Freestyle Breakfast, so there we went. I had the Crispy Pork Belly and she had the Honey Garlic Chicken. Loved it!!!!! My order was indeed crispy but at the same time it was also very tender and not dry at all. She loved her chicken dish as well and we both loved those tomato pesto sides. I wasn't even able to take pictures coz we were soooo hungry and the dishes looks soooo mouth watering. We didn't order dessert coz we already had a plan on where to go next, but Will certainly be back to try out the rest!
