This may sound weird, but yes, despite serving an all day breakfast from their menu, this will be the first time that I am legitimately ordering from Kanto Freestyle Breakfast's breakfast menu sets.

Despite being able to visit mostly their Mandaluyong and this Marikina branch often, I didn’t have the chance to savor the well-known breakfast dishes in this restaurant just because I choose other items than their silogs.

That’s why no wonder right after dropping by my high school Alma Mater at Roosevelt College, Cainta, my friends and I decided to go at Kanto Freestyle Breakfast.

The atmosphere of the diner was engaging for its spacious, well lit and it has a smoking area and an air-conditioned for those who aren't smokers and who just hate sweating out.

After being given their menus, I opted to stay away from my staples which included their pancakes and Honey Garlic Chicken. I decided to get their Tapsilog and was able to taste their Longsilog, too.

Tasting their famous silogs with my buddies was a good idea. As it was also a nice place to hang-out, we decided to chill there after eating.

Orders were served just on time. The Tapsilog consists of savory and tender tapa, well done egg and garlic fried rice and for its price, it was absolutely ‘sulit’! Also, it perfectly goes with vinegar, adding that spice to your mouth even more. But later on, you’d feel the ‘umay’ factor due to their generous servings. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.

Anyway, according to my friend, their Longsilog was yummy too. The longganisa looked small at first but they were siksik. It has this sweet and salty taste that made it go really well with the garlic rice and of course the fried sunny side-up egg. The veggies on the side of both meals gave it more color and life, too. That’s why, that goes on my list the next time I drop by Kanto Freestyle Breakfast.

However, I think my expectations went to high that’s why I wasn’t that much fascinated with their breakfast meal. But who knows? Maybe trying out some more of their breakfast items would turn out to be a blast! 128521

Anyway, Kanto Freestyle Breakfast never disappoints. From the gourmet food presentation to its taste and the affordably priced meals, you would not ask for more because they can give all these to you.

Breakfast food at anytime of the day can never go wrong, right? Who would not want to milky and creamy scrambled eggs paired with soft and good smelling pancakes at any time of the day?

Kanto Freestyle Breakfast offers these kind of items that will surely make you want to come back for them, again and again.

My first ever experience with this restaurant was at their branch at Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City at the Intrepid Cafeteria.

I visited Kanto Freestyle Breakfast at Marikina, on the way to Lilac last week and I really enjoyed it, as always.

This branch at Marikina is quite a huge one with areas for both smokers and non-smokers. The non-air conditioned area is bigger than the other one. Very simple, casual and welcoming feels can be felt.

Nicely presented, deliciously looking and yummy in every way, Kanto Freestyle Breakfast's Peanut Butter Pancakes are the bomb!

For almost 120php, you can enjoy this all time breakfast meal that is served generously and can actually be shared.

I love how they put much effort in presenting their meals a top notch higher and of course never forgetting to emphasize on its tastiness too.

The peanut butter was so tasty and the bananas tasted really fresh. The combination with the pancakes creaminess and milkiness made everything so yum!

Will come back again and again for sure!

In a corner in Marikina lies a restaurant called KANTO Freestyle Breakfast. It is open 24/7 and serving an affordable gourmet breakfast all day… and night. They serve different all-time favorite breakfast like tapa, tocino, longanisa, sardines, corned beef, pancake and the like. The store is open air but they also have a section with air conditioner. You can also book the place where you can have events, parties and seminars. During the time we went there, there was a seminar going on in their function room.
In the photo are Vigan Longanisa, Spanish Sardine Tempura, Mini Pancake, Crispy Corned Beef, Iskramble/ Ice Crumble, Tapang Taal, another Pancake and Crispy Pork Belly. We had the Crispy Corned Beef as our appetizer and it was a good start. A chunk of corned beef breaded with Skyflakes, deep fried, topped with caramelized onion and tartar sauce was so enticing. The crunchiness of the breading when you take the first bite then the juicy corned beef pops out into your mouth, heavenly. Our main dish was the tempura, tapa, longanisa and the pork belly. The Spanish Sardine Tempura was delicately made with a crispy tempura batter. The fish oil sauce made the tempura more savory. The Tapa was so tender and flavorful. The Vigan longanisa served with tomato covered in pesto sauce and the sourness of the later compliments the garlic flavor of the meat. The Crispy Pork Belly satisfied us with the umami that tickled our taste buds. And for the dessert, we had the mini pancakes topped with Ube/ Purple Yam, Chocolate, and peanut butter, perfect for the sugar rush to end the meal. We had the nostalgic Iskramble as our drink to turn the ordinary meal into a memorable event.
In ordering, you can combine orders or personalize your plate, depends on your craving. Each serving cost Php 80-150, also depending on the orders you placed. This is a perfect place to break your fasting especially for those who are rushing to work or school or just having some food cravings.

Late post.

Anyway, it's breakfast food plated gourmet-style.

I have tried the tapa, blueberry pancakes, wicked oreos, and their iskrambol. The tapa was paired with a roasted tomato with pesto. This one was delish. The pancakes had blueberry (jam with whole berries, I think?) generously spread on top. A tad bit too heavy and sweet, but tasty nonetheless. Wicked oreos are wicked, and the iskrambol was just nostalgic. 9786

Service sucks. You have to have a lot pf patience if you want to eat here. Serving time is around an hour. 30-40mins if you're lucky. 128530

Do NOT go here when you're famished. The food won't make it on time before you collapse.

What else can I say, it's bacon! Syempre masarap. I love the combination of their pesto and tomato. Hubby ordered Batangas Beef Tapsilog and it's just as good as the one that we had in Tagaytay. I didn't like their Kapeng Barako. It's different from what we had in Batangas.

Tocino and tapa were excellent but the shake is too expensive for the serving. Invest more on the lighting of the place and people. Our order took 20 mins to arrive.

Kinda like the vibe. Just simple.
No wifi - talk to each other. A post they have which I like 128523

I ordered spam and eggs
My boyfriend ordered lucban(or was it Vigan?) longanisa and eggs
They were good but not really special.
We also ordered choco chip pancakes. It was OK. Though I can't tell what kind of flour they used cause it wasn't fluffy. It was more sticky.

Their menu has a lot to offer that I wanna try next time I/we come back.

I like the spot tho. Quiet. A spot where you just wanna eat brekky at any time of the day and night.
Good idea for serving breakfast 24/7 9728127860127769

Really love the place. If you're craving for a silog breakfast, I definitely recommend it to you. Price is reasonable. My favorite dish is their Vigan Longganisa. Thumbs up.

From the name itself, "kanto" you would not expect a lot from the food they serve. The menu is quite varied actually for this kind of kanto fast food chain. By the looks of the food, it can actually be classified between carinderia and casual diners 128513 they decorate their food too! And most importantly, the food tastes good! Theirr Batangas tapa is one of the best tapa for me. They are creative with their menu too. Great job! The spanish sardine tempura is a must try too! :)

Kanto Freestyle in Marikina is back! Mas pinalaki at mas pinasarap!

After the last visit here I think they closed or renovate and awhile ago hubby and I end up here for lunch. It's now bigger and more tables and chairs plus no more doors it's purely open so medyo presko. It's really like kanto foodtrip but neat and a better service.

Got their best seller Batangas tapa with rice , tomatoes and scramble egg. Then we had the wicked oreo for dessert. It's their best seller dessert here. 3 pcs for 60 pesos . Had take our for kids too. Service is outstanding di mo na kailangan mag Utos may kusa talaga even before you ask , bilis mag luto , the price is reasonable except may 10% service charge but ok naman talaga service pero sana mgnda service nila then wala na Lang 10% mas super ok. Busog nmn kmi sulit na din 128077127860

A few of my friends have visited Kanto freestyle before, but during my first visit i was not happy about it.

The waiters were slow and had a hard time taking orders as if they were new to the establishment, smoking and non-smoking are on the same area.
I am pregnant so when the people at the other table beside me started smoking i was really angry and had to change table, mind you the waiters didn't even assisted me.

Food is very oily and a bit burned. From the photos i've seen it looks likes a bit plated. But the one they served was very typical. I know the food is cheap but i think one of the tag lines this restaurant have is the word "gourmet".

I don't think i'll ever try this again. And also there is no ventilation fan or aircon.

I do hope they try to improve their services.
