In my years of staying around Greenhills, it's only now that I tried Kanzhu. I had the dry fried with scallions noodles, shrimp hakaw and milk tea. The noodles was wow and true to how
You expect it to be for a hand-pulled noodle house. The hakaw wrap was ok although the shrimp was better in another place I ate at recently for around the same price. The milk tea, I have to judge still later on. What's more pleasant is the customer service. Warm and welcoming and alert. Really a good experience here.

What happened to this place? Braised beef noodles had three measely small pieces of beef and the beef texture seemed different and weird. Is there such a thing as double dead beef??

Service was likewise poor. Undermanned.

What a waste. How this place has deteriorated.

My aunt has a big love for Asian Cuisine or shall I say Chinese Cuisine. So I was browsing on the net for a place to eat nearby I told my aunt that we should dine at Kanzhu coz they offer fresh hand pulled noodles that you can see when you get to the store. As well as I've seen the menu so I told to myself that its going to be worth the try.

So as we walked inside together with my aunt, and sister. We indulged in their Wok Fried Fragrant Chicken which is mild spicy, Chicken Feet, Siomai, Braised Beef Dry Noodle Soup, and Roasted Garlic Spinach to end it with Chilled Green Tea Taho.
We enjoyed everything that we had ordered especially the Chilled Green Tea Taho.

What I was not expecting is their bad service it was very poor to the extent that if you're going to call their attention they would be like "mam wait lang" or they would just simply just give you a hand signal like it was very unprofessional and not very welcoming. And they would not even bother to put smiles on their faces which made even our stay very disappointing.

I would suggest that they should put more crews or servers so that each and every table in the resto could be attended to.

Forever my staple order when I'm alone, want something simple, I'm tired and stressed from work: Steamed Dumplings (Pork and Chive, or Lamb, depending on my mood), Tomato and Egg Dish, and a plain bowl of white rice. Sometimes I kick it up and order my favorite Pan Fried Radish Cake.

As always, food is delicious and the service is okay. It helps that coming in past 9 in the evening means I don't have much competition for the cooks and servers attention.

Dang, I just love it here! It reminds me so much of them good old China days. I feel like I'm back there when I'm left with just me and my orders~

Since I'm fond of any type of tea, I was enticed to try the Chilled Green Tea Taho. Will I recommend it? Yes, it passed my standards! Haha

Green tea taho, coffee jelly, curry beef dumplings and braised beef dry noodles were good!

We didn't like their almond flavored taho.

Kanzhu has a new menu!!!! They added a few items such as the pictured vegetarian dumpling. It was better than what I order in Wai Ying. However, the pan fried radish cake became smaller now. :(
They also removed their pull-tissues on the table, not that it really matters. Anyway! The tea for tonight was not good, too. We ordered mixed seafood hotpot. It was like gulay with konting seafood only. Perfect for vegetarians, though. 128532

Almond pearl taho was good!! I tried their green tea taho before but this one is better. It's only available for a limited time, so too bad!

Also tried one of the best sellers, the dry noodles with minced meat and eggplant. It was okay, very filling! Prices not too expensive, about P160 for a big bowl of noodles good for two girls :p

Some years back, this used to be one of those tiny Chinese restaurants with no name and one of my favorite places for hand-pulled noodles and dumplings. When it became Kanzhu, the prices went up and the quality declined! Their dumplings used to be moist, now they're dry. The Tomato Egg Dish which used to be a clean and simple-tasting dish of runny scrambled eggs and tomatoes, is now a dry and overdone mess. What a waste.

The only thing that made me happy here was the dried fish skin they sell in their counter.

Tried the Ma La Niu Rou spicy sliced beef in hot chili broth and their Delicious Chicken w chinese pepper gravy. The noodles were really spicy! I am not a big fan of the ramen/noodle craze and this one has not made me change my mind. The chicken was okay.

For my first visit, I went for the recommended sliced beef noodle soup. The dimsum I ordered complements it well enough! Not bad at approx. P600 for two. Next visit, will go adventurous and go for Ma La Niu Rau next time. 128523

First time to try Kanzhū Hand-pulled noodles. I've been passing by this place for a long time and I don't really know why I've never tried it before. Here goes my review:

Ordered the braised beef dry noodles, shomai, hakaw, and pork and chive steamed dumplings. Place is small but there's lots of seating. Their kitchen is open for viewing so you could see the noodle-pulling in action. I was pleasantly surprised by the serving size of the noodles, it's pretty generous enough to feed two! The noodles were cooked perfectly, not soggy or soft, and had perfect bite i look for when eating noodles. Dimsum was good too except the pork dumplings had too much chives in it for my liking. Capped this meal off with green tea taho. All in all a satisfying meal. Will definitely come back for the noodles!
