We had a nice, homey dinner here on a Friday night at this small house that prides itself for its porchetta. Tucked in the quiet Phil Am Road, it's a stark contrast from the gastropark nearby. I'm glad we ate here instead. I'm a Scrooge for noise.

Because it's a residential street we asked the restaurant where we could park. We were directed to parallel park in front of one of the houses nearby. Looked safe enough to leave our car.

A lovely mural welcomes you on the right wall. There's a large table outside too. A few tables are inside and there were about 6 of us in total that dined that evening. I loved the bright red chairs.

We got a Porchetta Caesar Salad (165.00), pa healthy daw my H said. It had bits of porchetta in it. I like that the lettuce didn't drown in dressing.

We also tried the Porchetta Sandwich (185.00) with oven roasted pork loin, salsa verde, crispy pork rind and a side of onion rings, found on the very quiet Phil-Am Road. It had about 3-4 pcs of skin, which was just right for the sandwich. Any more and we might have a heart attack.

Overall we liked our food. Not too heavy for dinner. Love the price points too, I believe we got our money's worth. With tips and drinks I think we only spent 600. We were well taken cared of. Maybe next time we'll try the porchetta with rice and the short ribs.

Literally a "hidden" gem as it is tucked in one of the lesser known streets of Kapitolyo. Karnita's Korner specializes in porchetta (boneless Italian lechon). One of the sinfully good items is their Porchetta rice. There's a generous slice of pork roast and poached egg on top of the rice. Corn slaw and pesto are added to mix your rice with. Oh, there's also the crispy lechon skin that we always wanted!

Partner your meal with their concocted drinks -- lychee green tea or house-blend iced tea. You'll never go wrong with either of the two. But personally, I like the lychee green tea.

If you want delicious porchetta that won't break the bank, this is the best place. Most of the dishes are only 185 and feel like they can feed an army. The porchetta doesn't make you feel like dragging yourself home but like you hop, skip and jump. Or I'm biased whatever

I just died and went to porchetta heaven. I can't even begin to describe how good their food is. We had the porchetta rice, porchetta tacos and the poutine and we practically licked our plates clean. Their price point is pretty reasonable too considering the quality and quantity that you are getting.

The only downside: it's quite difficult to get to as it's in the inner bowels of Kapitolyo. It also didn't help that the neighborhood snobs kept putting up one way and no parking signs. Luckily, we went on a quiet night and were able to park right in front of the establishment.

Would definitely be back for more porchetta goodness! 128055

their porchetta reminds me of babi guling (a balinese suckling pig) plus the sambal matah that comes with it is panalo. the skin is so crispy and the meat is juicy. the carbonara is so good too.

I'm loving Karnitas Korner's Porchetta Sandwich. The chopped roasted pork belly was deliciously flavorful and juicy and its pork skin nicely crunchy and crackly. The meat had hints of a good basting of garlic and slight nice anise herby under note. The garnish of basil pesto and Karnitas Korner's own bbq sauce added more to the yummy taste. The Ciabatta used as sandwich had a good light crunchy crust and a nice chewy center that held the meat and sauces perfectly. It went very well with the thinly sliced and lightly battered crunchy onion rings. The Italian inspired sandwich was certainly a foodie's pork sandwich delight. For such delicious filling sandwich with a price tag of only Php 175, not bad at all.

Karnitas Korner is certainly one of Kapitolyo's hidden hole-in-the-wall foodie's gem of a place. Albeit it's confusing location (it is located in one of the area's very narrow streets with difficult parking space and away from the usual Kapitolyo foodies' haunt), their Porchetta Sandwich is worth the trip.

For someone who loves lechon, this is the best oven baked lechon i've ever tasted. Not that easy to find though since it is near the residential zone in kapitolyo (just use waze). I asked the chef on how they maintain the crispness of the balat. They serve it fresh and try to rebake it if necessary. Hole in the wall indeed.

The LOOOVE of food certainly runs in our family.

Last March 2015, Karnitas Korner opened its doors to the public to try their dishes which focuses on porchetta with a twist of Filipino taste to satisfy Filipino's tummies.

✔️ ✔️ FOOD & DRINKS
I felt like I was in heaven !!! I ordered the porchetta nachos, porchetta sandwich & homemade iced tea. I thought I would not be able to fonish these. Boy was I wrong ! I didn't expect the nachos to be many and HUUUGE. But I still finished it anyway 128569

The iced tea was alright. It was not that sweet nor too sour. You would love to keep on ordering their iced tea to feel refreshed 128077

✔️SERVICE
The staffs were very welcoming and attentive. They made sure that mu orders would come on time to satisfy my tummy. One of the co-owners (who is the head chef of the restaurant) was also there that time and made sure we felt at home.

✔️ PRICE
Despite the huge serving, I found it to be cheap ! Porchetta nachos and porchetta sandwich costs around 100+ individually.

* Hands up to Tito Bayon for a job well done !

Woaah was all I could say upon seeing this meal I am going to have for lunch today. This one can definitely fill those big appetite specially if yearning for some good lechon belly. Generous serving and liberal use of herbs makes this dish hearty and calorific.

Karnitas Korner is a new hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Bo. Kapitolyo, Pasig that opened just last March 2015. Tucked in the residential area along Philam Road, its location makes this concept restaurant quaint and less crowded.

Try their Porchetta Rice - steamed rice, coleslaw, spicy sweet soy relish, salsa verde, runny egg and a generous amount of pork loin with some crispy rinds in one huge bowl! WOW! 128061

Get your porchetta fix all day – everyday at Karnitas Korner! Oh, happiness! 128523
