It's my first visit in this restaurant.

While waiting for our table outside, the waitress didn't offer a seat. We had to drag chairs from the other table just to be seated while waiting. Upon ordering our food, one of the waitresses informed us that sharing isn't allowed because of the set buffet. While we're eating, another waitress approached us (me & my wife). She told us that sharing isn't allowed and if my wife wants a salad, she have to order for herself. The way she said it made me pissed me off - in a tone that made me feel that we haven't enough money to pay for what we order.

Another note is on their service... To me, it seems that this restaurant is not pinoy friendly. It's hard to ask for a pair of spoon & fork. 128516. Also, I'm used to "rice all u can" being served to me not "self service".

After finishing the first bowl of rice, i decided na "take-out na lang". The food is good, but the service and serving sizes are not worth my money.

I'll probably come back to this restaurant, but not this branch. Maybe the other branch's service is better.

We keep coming back for this restau!
128073You can make your own salad. They have lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, plus a LOT of dressings. From spicy to sweet, whatever you like to can have it here.
128073Their rice is in the center of the store so you can go there and refill on your own. I don't know what that is, but there's this small pellets you can put on your rice for additional flavor ( I hope someone knows what that is, I want that in my kitchen)
128073I loved their pork. It's crispy but not oily. The meat is easy to slice but not too flaky.. Plus their sauce, it's not that thick and not that tasty but compliments well with the meat.
128073Reasonable price unlike competitors.
9996Needs improvement: more seats I guess, but they do manage the line outside. Also there's this half curtain that separates the dining area and the kitchen, so we can hear the noise.

It was my first time to try Katsu Sora (Eastwood) earlier. I must say that I was surprised to know that getting refills (salad, fruits and rice) is self-service, that was a bit of a bummer since I didn't want to stand up after a long night of walking around. I was also informed that the salad bar was only available until 10PM despite the restaurant being open until 11PM. You can, however, stock up on the refills that you want before the salad bar closes.

FOOD - The food was okay, but they can do better, especially their miso soup. Had chicken and cheese katsu and it was alright, nothing to rave about. I was hoping that their matcha ice cream would "save" the night, but nope. It didn't.

ENVIRONMENT - I'm very particular with the theme and ambiance of a place and Katsu Sora (Eastwood) needs a lot of improvement on this. The music they played during restaurant hours was meant to be played at coffee shops. It ruined the whole Japanese vibe of the place.

CLEANLINESS - Let me get to the cleanliness of the place -- if it's really clean to begin with. There were flies roaming and flying around while you eat. It can be tiring to eat while shooing off flies. The crew started to mop and clean the place around 10:20PM, I don't mind that they're all in a hurry to clean up and close the restaurant but the smell of their soap was too strong that I just lost my appetite.

CREW - The people at Katsu Sora weren't too accommodating either. Maybe they were too eager too close up. They also need to smile more and lighten up. Crew needs major improvement on this one.

Food is reasonably priced. Taste is good. The servers Nestor, Jonel, Juvelyn are not accommodating and unsmiling. One disappointing note is that they really have BIG flies inside the restaurant. May still reconsider visiting this outlet in the future.

Ordered the Kurobuta Pork Tonkatsu Set. Loved the juugokokumai and their salad selection. Definitely coming back. For me it was worth the P550. I liked it better than Yabu and Ginza Bairin, but that's just me. The place felt cozy and the food was comforting. Have yet to try the other katsu places (Saboten and Tonkatsuya) though.

Pick your own salad and fruit bar, miso and rice. Katsu done perfectly. Super fan of the original katau place... And katsu sora is coming in as a strong contender! Place was packed by the time the lunch hour clocked in. Will def visit again soon!

Konbanwa! 🇯🇵

Went to Katsu Sora Eastwood this evening for my Father-in-law birthday celebration. It's my first time here at Katsu Sora Eastwood.

I love Japanese food. Katsu Sora is located at 2nd floor of Eastwood mall.

What's good about this Japanese resto is that your entitled with their salad buffet and refillable miso soup and rice for every purchase of their ala carte meals. They were specialized in Katsu. 127857

Ordered their best seller Chicken with Cheese and Ohba Katsu Set. Farm fresh chicken is served with layers of cheese and Japanese basil, covered in wood fired panko, and deep fried to perfection. Cost only 350 pesos .

The food was heavy and price was very affordable. If you love Katsu this is a must try jap resto. Service was fast and good service too. Hope they could have wifi.

All in all experience was excellent 128076

I treat my officemates here after failing to get them pasalubongs from Japan. After all, it was almost the same price per head if you consider what I wanted to give them from Japan. The place somehow reminded me of Yabu, but more toned down. Toned down in the sense that it's more budget friendly or less classier than Yabu. That's just my opinion though.

Their katsu is so delicious. Just perfect for me. Their miso soup is just the same as other Japanese restaurants. Bottomless too! Unlimited veggies from their salad station is great! You can choose what fruits or veggies you want.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back here within weeks or months time especially when I'm craving for katsu or anything Japanese. I miss Japan 🇯🇵

I went here for a business meeting last December. It was nice because they had an area for that, a separated area with some sort of wall with a table and just our party of 6. It was quite a challenge to go from there to the salad buffet though, but not a problem.

Katsu Sora serves solid good Katsu. They're quite "the usual" now for me, but still I enjoyed my food. Like almost all Katsu places, everything is refillable except for the entree. Of course what sets this joint apart from the others is the self service salad buffet, and a lot more sauces and dressings to choose from.

I'd still come back, but maybe not too soon. Medyo pricey din e. (^^,)

Katsu craving satisfied a few weeks back at Katsu Sora...

I never really noticed the lack of Katsu restaurants in Eastwood before. Not until we passed by Katsu Sora earlier this year did we realize that there was no other Katsu place here before. Useless thought, gusto ko lang i-share...128514

Anyway, we like this place because of the salad bar... It's not limited to just shredded cabbage as in other Katsu restaurants. They also offer more varieties of salad dressings and fruits as well (as compared again).

For this visit, I ordered their Katsudon while the bf got their Tonkatsu set... As I have proven in my previous visit to Katsu Sora, I don't really taste the difference between the various kinds of pork. So, to be on the safe side (of the palate and the wallet-- ooooh that rhymes!), we both got the Shimofuri pork... It's about P100 cheaper than Kurobota and P200 less than the Iberico pork. Seriously, I tried the mixed platter before and though there were subtle differences, breaded fried pork is breaded fried pork to me... #notsarreh

I was surprised when the Katsudon was served on this elevated dish thingy with a small candle on the bottom. It was neato! 128513 I thought it would be really hot, but it wasn't. It just kept the food warm throughout the meal. I liked it, very moist pork and a generous serving as well... Good service too! No complaints!128077🏻9786

I met with my two bestest friends for lunch and one of them suggested this since her officemates were all the rave about it and wanted to try it for herself. They offer several type of premium pork tonkatsu set on their menu. This also comes with unlimited salad bar, rice and soup. While they prepare your order you can go ahead and start on the salad bar and soups. My mistake was I got too carried away with the potato salad. It was sooo good I forgot it was just a side dish and not my main meal. When my set finally came, I was already too full to appreciate the differences of the kinds pork on the platter sampler128553. Plus the fact that we're on "chicka galore" mode, it faded in to the background. I do plan to go back though, this time with the presence of mind not to pig out on the salad and to really taste the pork128540 (sorry, no pictures. Salad and chicka galore remember) 128523

Me and my girlfriends were looking for affordable yet decent food to eat. So we decided to eat here because they have meal set and has a buffet salad, soup, tea and rice bar which is not for the price. The concept is you can choose what kind of pork you want for your Katsu but they varies in their prices. We enjoyed our meal and we were so stuffed.

Ordered Sakura Katsudon set - the cheapest meat.
It was a hearty meal although the sauce tends to be too sweet. Unli salad, rice and tea.

Went here to celebrate my grandfather's bithday. The place was not yet crowded when we arrived. The staff was courteous and patient when we were placing orders since, we were a big group so we took a lot of time ordering. Plus points for them. I really enjoyed the unli salad and unli soup :) The katsu is a bit dry but still tasty.
