Katsu sora has very friendly staff that will attend to you as soon as you enter their premises as rhey need to determine whether to seat you in their katsu area or ... that right wing (I forgot 128540).
They set up the place in a way that people can still move around. They cater mostly to groups and families although I can see myself dining alone here too.
Food: We ordered the set meals so it was a little pricy (Php 500-600). But its actually all you need! It has a couple of sides and a glass of iced tea. I ordered a couple more items and we almost couldn't finish it up. Food was pretty good taste-wise. The tempura, the katsu, the sides, it was all pretty tasty.
Price: Not really for an everyday kind of budget but its worth the trip once a week or so.
Very much recommended.

All of Trinoma’s restaurants can be found elsewhere. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t frequent this mall on top of its distance from where I live. My friend and I did stumbled to Katsu Sora (currently with 5 branches) when its nearby Mochicream’s aircon was busted. We had to order something to be able to sit down and as such we availed one of their sets.

Tonkatsu is still thriving from its emergence years back. We got the Php 365 Sakura Oroshikatsu Pork Set. It is Canadian pork which is leaner with less fat. The flavors are still intact despite lessing marbling of fat. The set comes with Japanese rice, miso soup, hot tea and unlimited access to the salad bar. What a deal! The bar has 11 kinds of fruits and vegetables and you combine with 5 choices of dressing.

Ordered Sakura Katsu set (Php370) which includes unlimited salad, soup and rice. Not bad for the price. My only issue is there were flies flying inside the resto. It was a turn off.

we arrived just as they were about to open so we were the first customers. one must need to press a button before the door opens. The place is cozy and intimate, they have a buffet salad bar with different types of lettuces , mashed potatoes, fruits and cabbage, on the side were the soup and rice. everything about their katsu set reminds me of Yabu, even the taste and the sauces.

i enjoyed their food but this ms. ritchell, the one who served the food was a little bit under the weather and was somehow not in the mood, she was very adamant to give us water even though we asked ever so politely.

will i eat here again?

YES, if yabu is full.

I've had better katsu in other places, but i keep coming back because of the salad bar. You get unlimited potato salad, pumpkin, and assorted greens with your set meal. Theres also fresh fruit for dessert. Meals start at 340.

I didn't get the chance to take photos, we were famished by the time we got in there. Haha!

Came there on a week night so no need to book a table, yey!

Food was good :)
We had the mixed seafood set because we want to have a little of everything.

Refillables:
Rice, salad, soup

Soup - 4.5/5
miso soup

Salad - 4.5/5
If the sesame (japanese) dressing was there, it would be a 5/5, haha!

Mixed seafood - 4.5/5
The sauce is superb, we enjoyed it!
It's not the one with the sesame seed, but it's more like 'egg sandwich like' sauce.

Ambience 4/5

Service 4/5
They try to accommodate everyone, but I don't know, either they are understaff or they are just really busy.

Cleanliness
Tables 4/5
Toilet 2.5/5

Value for money 4.5/5
Reasonable 128077🏻

Craving for some katsu and we went to the right place. I got the Mille Feuille Set (325pesos) then my friend got Sakura Katsudon Set both sets include salad buffet and refillable tea. After our meal we were both full and satisfied.

Great service and friendly staff. 128076🏼

Are you in a mood for an unlimited healthy eat? You might want to visit katsu sora, sister of santouka ramen. Say whut?! Healthy in katsu sora?!

Yeah. Well i'm pertaining to the salad all you can. Katsu sora offers american and japanese style salads. They have ice berg lettuce, romaine, broccoli, potato salad, squash salad, shredded cabbage, even fruits! Dont get tired of going back cause they have a lot of dressings to choose from. I personally like the taste of their lemon and wasabi dressing!

Of course, there still is the unlimited rice and soup for this place. They have this japanese rice with 5... (something) hahaha.. Basta it's rice with 5 kinds of wheat or bean or something! 1285179996

The kurobuta is good enough. I was not able to enjoy it well cause i was focused on the business meeting.

My advise. Dont go here if you want to have a business meeting. Well, i did. :) one thing is that you cant maximize your freedom to get back to the salad bar as much as you want. The time eating was spent in time talking. But since it's what my japanese "business" friend wants, and its not that i hate the restaurant, why not? 128540

Best to go here dinner time--and that you haven't taken your lunch yet.

I come here for the salad bar.. 128517

I had ebi fry today. The shrimps were fresh and plump, but the batter was too oily, i had to take most of it off.

Chicken katsudon set came with unlimited rice, salad, and soup for P340. Buffet salad/soup/rice bar from 11am-5pm.

I like that the chicken didn't feel too fried. And it has that right crisp.

First timer in this Katsu place. I met with friends for our dear friend's birthday celebration last week, & its such a busy day coz its also father's day. We quickly decided to dine here as queue is manageable, we're on the 6th (our chitchats while waiting didnt bore us 128525)

The menu is mostly pork and chicken, and no fish ( looking for it coz i felt like having a cream dorie or salmon). We come across a lunch special: the Otameshi set (available from 11:am to 5pm) for P500. I was quite confused with the diff kinds of pork in the menu, this set offers the 4 kinds.. So we tried it.

The set include this katsu :Iberico (buttery taste), kurobota (juicy), shimofuri (high marbling), sakura (clean flavor), along with these are unlimited rice, salad, and soup. Not bad!

For the salad, you have to go to the salad bar to get it, also beside the salad bar is the rice cooker.. You know carbs128541. Its a bit of a hassle unlike in other katsu resto that i tried (yabu & kimukatsu). Soup is served for every request. The pork, hmmm. I tasted it one by one.. Cant distinguish the difference. I just noticed. Its madami compared to other resto for just P500. This meal is too much that we have to take out the left over porks 128055

The place is ok, service here is less attentive considering that rice and salad has a self service station (compairing to other katsu resto) , pricing is good.. Though nothing spectacular with the katsu. Just a good experience of enjoying salad and big serving of katsu (no bitin moment )

Can't decide which pork to order so the server suggested the Otameshi set which consists of Premium Iberico Pork (world's most sought after premium pork bred in Spain), Kurobota Pork (most prized heritage meat from Japan), Shimofuri Pork (more marbled meat from Spain), and Sakura Pork (lean but tender meat from Canada). The set comes with unlimited Japanese rice, miso soup and salad buffet.

Amongst all the meat, I still prefer the Kurobota because of its flavorful taste and tender meat with a thin film of fat lining the edges.

For me it's a good choice because you get to taste them all. The serving is quite big even if the cutlets were smaller than the normal. I only consumed half of the set beacause I was so full already. 128523

Kurobota pork is high quality pork from Japan that the Philippines keeps using for their katsu restaurants. Honestly the salad bar is bland for me however you don't have to ask for vegetables and rice anymore since they are there already. Miso is nothing special. The pork is tender and juicy though. However, there are so many katsu places that we don't have to stay in one place always. This one is meh.
