Value for money! 128077 The crocodile sisig tasted like chicken, in a good way. The fish steak from the catch of the day priced at Php 250 was such a winner. They were serving talakitok(?) that day, and to me, it tasted really fresh. Cooked with lots of garlic and butter, #keto-friendly!

After our town tour, we asked our driver to drop us off a place he recommends. He mentioned Lolo Nonoy's and this place. My friend checked out the former but decided we'll just go ahead with Kawayanan Grill even without checking the menu.

The place was cozy and the servers were attentive. However, it was 8pm when we were there and their seafood was not available - mainly, the superstars prawns (or shrimps) and crabs. We didn't bother asking for lobster. We ended up with just ordering individual dishes instead and got Kinilaw, Sizzling Mixed Seafood, and Sizzling Garlic Butter Kangkong. Kinilaw was fine, not sure how you can mess up Kinilaw so this was served immediately and it was a good a start.

Next came the sizzling dishes. The mixed seafood was sad. Really sad. Two pieces of tiny shrimps wherein if you remove their skin, it's smaller than a tiny woman's pinkie. Friend said, "Konti na lang pwede na ito pang bagoong." Kangkong was okay but for Php180, it does not fare well. Is kangkong expensive in Coron? :(

Upside is that they were not frozen, but they were not really fresh either (because they have shrimps for their mixed seafood but not for their platter).

Why 2 stars? Value for money. It's laman tiyan in a way.

Side note - they have credit card. Not really a factor though. 128528

The place have a great vibe, typical filipino bistro type restaurant and it has a bar type yet relaxing ambiance. Price for food was cheap, not very cheap but reasonably cheap and most of the food was good for sharing so there is no problem on price and servings. The food itself was spot on very nice, seafood was fresh and so flavorfull, drinks was nice as well. Service was good and all servers are attentive with a smile while serving. Overall it was a great dining experience in coron, palawan. highly recommended to everyone if you are going to coron and dine.

This is one of the most recommended places to eat when in Coron. They're famous for their selection of exotic dishes containing octopus meat, crocodile and some more. They also have "paluto" services like in Dampa if you'll bring some seafood fresh from the wet market.

We came around 7:30pm and the place was packed. Thank God, I approached one of their servers and asked if they could reserve us a table for 10. He immediately responded and we got our table in less than 10 minutes.

We tried the Seafood Platter that's good for 5-6 persons containing Red crab, squid, shrimp, fish and ensaladang lato with 6 cups of rice. It's quite good for its price of Php1,350. Everything was good except for the ensaladang lato. Didn't like the taste and the texture. We're supposed to add Crocodile sisig but it was not available that time, so we opted for the Pork Sisig and Lechon Kawali just to complete our feast. Both were good but not really that remarkable.

The place, however was really nice. Very native! There were nipa huts that could accommodate 4-6 persons. They also have some furnitures and stuff made from bamboo that makes it all Filipino native ambiance. The service had been also good. Our server was very courteous and always smile while attending to our requests.

While in Coron Palawan, we had dinner her. Coming from a day full of activities we were really dead tired. What we wanted was good food and that's what weve got! 128513128077

The Sisig here is a must try!

And I really like the design of their table! lol 128026128026

Last night we dined here because the locals told us that this place is where all tourist goes for dinner. So we tried. The food is delish.

We ordered:

Seafoods Platter for P385.00 (2 crabs, lato with Tomatoes, Grilled Squid 1pc, 1 slice of buttered grilled fish)

LECHON KAWALI - i notice the slices are big and the fats is really not good to eat.

LECHE FLAN - it's nice but i guessed it's not pure egg yolk that they used on making it. Not so creamy like the usual taste of it.

1 PITCHER ICED TEA - it's pricey for a 1 litro pack of Nestle iced tea. The taste is the same.

First off I don't have a photo which is sad I know. :(

We ate here last night. Got the order of kawayanan platter and bulalo plus sisig. We LOVED everything. Read the reviews and one of the common things they didn't like is about them having no house water, well perhaps they listened to the feedback bec they now have it.

The bulalo is to die for!! Sarap ng sabaw at the beef is super tender. Something to not miss for sure.

Might go back here tonight. Lol.

Like what I said in my past review, I went to Coron.

Huhuhuhu went here for seafood but they said the only seafood they have is fish and squid. I criii 128557

1. Fish steak- it was good though. The garlic actually made the food better. Without the garlic = 128581128581128581

2. Squid - it looks fresh but they we're not able to cook it well :( = major fail

3. Kibao(?)- it's a shell (???) with mangoes and tomatoes inside. I didn't eat it, but my mom and sister said it was yummy. Sorry but eww hahaha

Oh my, they didn't have service water 128531
and buko juice was not available 128557

The ambiance is nice, i would give it a 5/5. We had the seafood platter that is kind of pricey that we expected it to be one awesome meal but unfortunately not. The serving is too small. I would give that platter 2/5
We had mango shake for 100.00 pesos, but you can have the same good shake in lolo Nonoys, also in coron that cost half the price.
We also ordered Pork Sinigang (tamarind pork stew, not sure whats the english term) and its OK id give it a 3/5.

Good ambience and they serve free soup! Bad thing is that there serving time is slow and the foods there are a bit pricey.
