I thought I'd written a review for good ol' Keizo already. This is the nearest refuge of authentic Japanese cuisine for me, while it's certainly not going to break the bank, it ain't T-Boy cheap, either. But it's in my hood and it's my own tiny piece of Japanese heaven.

Rating it 5 stars for the awesomely off menu Seafood Ramen. It's not aligned to my usual rich, flavorful ramen, in fact it's got a basic retro-just-right salty broth, but daaaaaayyyyyyyyyymmmmmmm! Super daming seafood in it. Salmon, prawns, squid, tuna, yowza! At P500, for me, this is quality stuff. The noodles are okay, more of the traditional stuff of Ukkokei, instant noodle-like, but it doesn't matter. It was a great and simple seafood Ramen, no frills, but all of those seafood on top made this a fabulous experience.

Generally, across all my dining here, it's generally a 4/5 but this was a pleasant surprise (and no, Peanut D they weren't playing your song over and over again 128521).

I've tried their sashimi, usually plump and fresh. I've had some of their makimono's, they're okay, but not quite as satisfying as Omakase's. Had a few of their Donburi's like the Katsudon in the picture. Good stuff. Service generally very reliable and friendly. The resto's seen better days, ambience wise, and I'm not fond of how their staff sleep in the resto in the afternoon in full sight from the outside (hehe, it's walking distance so I pass this a lot). But at lunch and at night, you'll not notice that anyway. Lol.

Great Burgos Circle option for simple and authentic Japanese cuisine. Others are too fancy, and their Keizo Gastropub counterpart nearby isn't quite up to par (and I don't get why the two restos near each other), but when you're craving for quality Japanese that's simple & straight to the point, in BGC, look no further than Keizo in Kensington Place, Burgos Circle. Dunno if you can park at the condo, but I guess you can try. Otherwise there are parking options nearby at Forbestown and across Bonifacio Technology Center.

After sweating it out in Electric Studio, we walked to Keizo for some late night dinner. We opted for the table outside beside some Japanese guys. And that's the reason why the Japanese Chef came to serve us too. He was chatting with the guys from the other table and saw that we weren't attended fast enough by the servers.
We ordered uni, salmon sashimi and tempura. Uni and salmon tasted fresh and was really good. The tempura batter was light and fluffy and crispy. Would def love to come back for more.

Keizo's sushi's are definitely at par with that of Japan's! Quality is absolutely authentic and reminded my taste buds of those I've tried when we went to Japan :)

Salmon and Tuna are my faves in the set!

The chef is also filled with humor and surrounded with friendly and alert staff!

Kuddos! :)

If you wanna try authentic japs food but do not have the budget to travel to tokyo to do so then you dont have to fret that much, because it can be located just within metro manila. I love everything in here, the food is extraordinary, an indeed authentic japs! The servings are hefty and the staff are very accomodating! I also love the place because it's quite quiet and relaxing!

Needed to do some stress eating and fast after such a bad morning at work, so I trooped to Burgos Circle planning to get some ramen, then i remembered Keizo from reading it here.

Walked in, sat down, the waitress recommended the salmon as it was just brought in and was very fresh so I say, ok. The salmon came and it was just glorious - so fresh. Also found that they make their wasabi rather than use the fugly tubed variant. So that was a treat. Then my katsudon came in and it was hmmm....okay i guess. Done properly and can't complain about the flavor, but the serving was small. Ho-hum.

Place is small and cozy (I'm sure others would call it cramped), but it became full in all 5 minutes of my sitting there for my order - not a bad sign at all.

The only hitch - it was pricey. 395 for a platter of salmon and 425 for a small bowl of katsudon is a wee bit prohibitive to the casual diner. Que sera sera.

decided to put a pin on all my backlog & just post:

we've discovered something wonderful at keizo. first off, we tweaked our favorite beautiful maki to be carbo free. how? well it's actually sort of a cheat because we got salmon, tuna & avocado sashimi. pwede pala yun. as always, the tuna and salmon were outstanding. one of the best if not the best we've had. i added miso & gyoza for myself.

here's a nice bonus. we wanted to cap off the wonderful dinner with our fav dessert: green tea ice cream. it wasn't available so we got "forced" to order the sesame ice cream. blessing in disguise there. the darn thing was fantastic. it was so good, i had to get one for myself because the wife refuses to share.

Rice in the chirashi was dry and tasted burnt. And they gave us such a hard time about changing our order. Then they were charging us for the miso soup that came with the chirashi. Super annoying!

I haven't visited for almost a year and they still play Adele's songs??? 128563 Oh man.

Last time I asked the server, they said the CD broke and they were happy it did - only to find a brand new one to replace it. And apparently, it broke again. A pretty solid sign they should give it a rest in my opinion.

But no. Adele lives on. They just bought a USB stick happily filled with the same exact Adele songs. And it plays all day. Every day.

"Never mind I'll find someone like youuuuuuuu..." Over and over and over again. It's still sad and hilarious at the same time. 128514128557

Anyway, my rating doesn't have anything to do with Adele. It's the fact that their salmon sushi was not good. Sushi rice was like regular rice while salmon tasted old.

I hope it was just a bad day for their sushi or I will set fire to the rain! However that's done. 128540

FRESH WASABI. Nothing compares. The kick is different from the tube kind, plus you definitely feel like a much more cared for customer because of it. Definitely coming back again. And again. And again.

Got there just in time for the flipping of the Closed to Open sign.

Miso soup
Spicy tuna salad
Beautiful maki

Good for 2 @ Php 1012 (inclusive of SC)

I wasn't supposed to eat and just accompany my sis, but with what was getting served, I had to dive in.

Food and service here are excellent! Yasu-san serves only the finest ingredients, ensuring a quality meal every visit. The fish is really fresh (not to mention top grade) and the sushi rice is perfectly balanced.

I always order the Salmon Don, which is basically a donburi comprised of salmon sashimi over sushi rice.

My friend chose Keizo for our dinner last Friday, and of course I immediately searched looloo for reviews!

So I was expecting great food... And an endless Adele playlist like Peanut D mentioned. But no, they were on Flashback Friday! They were playing Celine Dion songs on loop. On a rainy night. Emo hits lang! 128514128514128514

This place is a bit hard to find because it's small and nasa gilid. So when in Burgos Circle, look for Sterling Bank and you'll be on your way to great food!

We ordered agedashi tofu, gyoza, and ebi tempura maki while waiting for the rest of the gang to arrive. I really love their agedashi tofu and ebi tempura! 9786

My friends ordered this sort of california maki with mayonnaise and kani on top. I don't know what it's called but it was good too! 128514

And OMG their tempura? Super sarap!! Very big prawns and really juicy! 128077128077128077

The prices are a bit steep, butI don't mind paying considering the authenticity of the place A lot of Japanese are dining here, that's gotta say something right? 9786

We're late to the ball game, but I believe we just found our go to Japanese place 128076 And so near the house too!128522

Only downside is that the entire time we were there, The Best of Celine Dion was blasting in the background. It was heaven in my mouth but hell for my ears!128518
