Good japanese resto. Been going to this resto several times already but kept forgetting to take photos. Maybe because of its cozy ambiance you'll just want to relax and enjoy dining here. Gomoku, salmon salad, and their teppanyaki are yummy. Good food and service.

Just writing about this makes me miss Japan. Ah…the glory that is Japanese food! 128539 I was only able to try bento box there once, and that was during a train ride. This time around, I got to try it while sitting down. Offered during lunch, it’s time for some bento box at Kessaku.

And that was one full meal! Their bento box offers all come with miso soup, assorted sashimi, vegetables, fresh fruits and a glass of their house blend iced tea. I had their Chicken Teriyaki which I found to be flavorful. The same could be said of their Ebi Tempura. It might gear on being pricey but hey, you do get a full and hearty meal.

I wondered how their Tori Nanbanzuke would differ from a karaage. But maybe it’s with sauce served where the vinaigrette sauce complemented this one. On its own, it had this right saltiness and crisp but dip that meat in the sauce and it just made sense. It balanced the whole dish making up for one delicious appetizer.

Available from 11AM to 2:30PM, bento boxes here are good for those hungry moments when in the south. You do get your money’s worth as the choices, whether it’s their Ebi Tempura, Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Tenderloin and Pork Tonkatsu, are made with care. They are true to their word of “creating a masterpiece” when it comes to their dishes. 🙂

Yummy Japanese food! Can't believe I was only able to dine here so late. This has been open for some years now yet my family always just pass by it. Well, future lunch/dinners will surely be in the works soon! 128523

I have this habit to speed eat in sit down restaurants when I should be eating or just grab a bag of popcorn before a movie. Last week was no different when I decided to try Kessaku. In a way it is a testament to the service and how a restaurant values a customer's time. 45 minutes before screening together with Dad we sat down by the window. It has a beautiful view of the acacia tree lined Filinvest Avenue. Cars are virtually non existent on this side of Alabang (unless its the 6pm rush hour) which gives you a feel of exclusivity and serene calmness. The afternoon we dined in was no different. If only we had time, we could have chilled in restaurant for hours.

There was barely any customers since it was not yet dinner time. Service was quick. We ordered the Kani Salad, Nevada Roll and an plate of Fish Tempura (Sakana). After taking our order, we were served two pieces of shredded kani on top of a slice of cucumber. A refreshing complimentary appetizer to start off our meal. There was no complimentary house tea served. Perhaps it was by request. The Kani Salad (250pesos) was barely good for one. I find the serving size too small for the price. Though you can see it was made of quality ingredients. I like how rich the orange color of the fish eggs glistened on top of the salad. It was good. The Japanese mayonnaise did not drown the cucumber and lettuce. The Fish tempura (Asohos fish) (250pesos) had a good amount of crunch care of the tempura batter. I like the tempura sauce and how it lend a bite of ginger to the dish. I enjoyed it very much since it paired well with the maki dish i ordered. I was sold to the idea of a fried maki, so I ordered the Nevada roll (295pesos). It had salmon, kani, mango, cream cheese and breaded and fried in tempura batter.

The restaurant was brightly lit because of the natural sunlight coming through the huge glass facade. It has a typical Japanese interior. They also serve wine and have a happy hour which offered some drinks at 75pesos. Some prices are not worth its serving size but over all it was a pleasant dining experience. Senior cards honored. Recommended.

Craving for Japanese and since we were at commercenter, decided to give kessaku another go. I remember that our last visit in February wasn't so stellar so I kept my expectations moderate.
Been wanting some good sukiyaki and TG they had it here! Serving was good for two at around 400+. They also have wagyu sticks now! Yay! We also got their Angus beef fried rice and the spicy tuna salad.
Service was good, the spicy tuna arrived first. Fresh tuna tossed in crunchy batter with real sesame seeds to round off the flavor, it was delish! Our soup came next and it was really good for two! A lot of beef and vegetables and mushrooms as well. Apparently, the right way to eat sukiyaki is to beat the egg in a small bowl (for yourself) and then dip the meat or noodles or whatever into the egg before eating it! Well that's what my husband taught me 128517 was scared to try it at first but it turned out pretty good.
The angus fried rice was great as usual but the wagyu sticks were the winner that night! Soft, tender and so tasty! Will probably have the sticks and rice next time!
Glad that this experience was totally different from our last, it pays to give 2nd chances!

Provides Good customer service and place has a nice ambience. Price is a bit high though. I personally feel that I can eat better tasting Japanese food at slightly lower prices in other restaurants.

As per my swarm account, my last visit to kessaku was way back in 2014! We were going to catch Deadpool in commercenter so we thought of having lunch somewhere in the area. Movie is funny AF btw 128518
Glad to see that there were still a lot of tables available even though it was Valentine's Day. We sat near the windows and enjoyed the view. The server offered us their Valentine's special which was a 3 course meal with wine for 2 for only 1500. I declined cos I didn't want to have wine with Japanese food 128540
Anyways we got the angus fried rice (in picture), ebi tempura, spicy salmon salad, karaage and salmon teppan.
The spicy salad arrived first, it was good but serving was a tad small. Mains arrived next. I think the best thing that we ordered was the fried rice, everything else was just so-so. For tempura, go to Hanamaruken instead. All of the dishes were missing that 'umami' taste.
Still giving them four stars for menu variety and good service 128077🏼

Maverick Christopher P and I were in the mood for a movie so we decided to go to our favorite cinema. It was only 8PM and our movie wasn't until 9:30PM.

MC was craving for soup so we came here for the Ramen. I wasn't really that hungry (I haven't been hungry lately) so I just ordered sushi rolls and gyoza.

The service was okay, nothing really remarkable. I did love their decor tho. I especially wanted to take home their purple love seat. 128514

The food was not bad either. The rolls were satisfying and the gyoza was good. What was great was their Tantanmen, it was smooth and creamy! (Stole a sip from MC's bowl) it was peanut buttery and mildly spiced. 127836

Still average for me... Didn't redeemed itself to me after our last visit. I guess, the soft shell crab & the cha han is all that there really is to this place. Not complaining anymore but will not rave about it either.

Although it was a hit and miss for us, we mostly enjoyed what we had except for the veggie tempura bec the batter they use is just terrible! It was pale, uneven and undercooked. I'm glad we tried it here though because now I know where I can get one of the best soft shell crabs ever! I'm a soft shell crab lover and I prefer them without coating but believe me, their's is good despite the horrible batter! It was the meaty kind that even had fat! Too bad it was tempura so they serve it with the tempura sauce. I did ask for vinegar and just made my own mix9996🏻️The cha soba was good too, they serve the dipping sauce with quail egg which is how I prefer it. The sunshine roll is mediocre but the chahan was superb! Then there's the unagi with foie gras which is how you'd imagine it- rich, creamy, overwhelming & expensive haha the two pieces are around 400, I think. They do have a good batch of salmon sashimi btw. I think they deserve another try but I don't think I'll find myself dining here too often except when I crave for the soft shell crab! 128518

Trully highclass place... Yellowish dim lights.. Varmished wooden tables. Comfortable chairs.

Let's see about the food: i had an ordinary donburi... But i believe they could do better on teppan, ramen or sushi.
I was craving for rice... Gyuudon nlng.

Their beef quality is good. Tender and thinly sliced. With even portion of fats.. The teriyaki sauce sticks well to it.. Egg is usually nice... Green onions and onions.. Sprinkled with sesame seeds..
Oh, they serve japanese rice..
Only the serving was quite small.
And it was too simple. No mushrooms or red ginger or anything...
They srrved me really fast! Like a fastfood! Its just because there were a few of us...

The servers were as warm as the ambiance

They also offered me complimentary crabstick roll? I thinnk its just mayo and crabstick and green onions placed on a slice of cucumber for appetizer.. Was quite malangsa...

This for now, when i come back i shall see other dishes! INEFFECTIVE WIFI PREC: i have full bars wifi on phone but cannot obtain IPaddress daw...

Tantanmen is decent (they added chashu to the typical ground pork). They need to improve their ajitama tamago: yolk is too pale, not marinated enough or at all.

Love it cause I am now too full to move. The tantanmen ramen was awesome...every bite sip and suck was just oozing with flavor. 128517

Salmon melts in your mouth, cali maki was delicious too.

Prices were reasonable naman. Ambience was great, lighting sets you in the mood.

Ramen's really good -- rich flavor, big servings. Gyudon's meat was very tender. Salmon Sashimi melts in your mouth. You have to try the Tantanmen Ramen (with peanut sauce), Shoyu Tofu Ramen, Ebi Tempura. Price is reasonable (approx. Php450 per meal). Service is great! Servers are very courteous and would check on your table once in a while to see if you need refills or have other requests.

Good news is meant to be shared. The best way to share it is over food. I read some good reviews on |ooloo that I figured this was a good resto to try out. I met my parents in the resto as it turned out to be a late dinner.

As I walked in, staff greeted me but I felt tension in the air like they didn't know where to seat a party of four. I found a seat I liked and began to study the menu. Had to take the liberty in ordering ahead as my mom would've had my head because it was getting late. Figured to get something classic to match her conventional taste buds. Orders were:

Ebi Gyoza - it's your pan-fried dumpling with shrimp in it. The ebi was delicious! And it was cooked well that it worked. My mom took a piece already before the photo was taken.

Mixed sushi - classic enough to accommodate my mom's palette but not adventurous to satisfy my dad's, which brings me to ordering

Spicy tuna maki - I think? I forgot what I ordered. Anyway, this was also ok. I liked that they decided to serve it in spoons.

Kamameshi rice - this should always be pre-ordered because 20 mins is not enough and it is long enough to wait for hungry tummies. I was quite disappointed because one review said it was spot on. 128532 it doesn't hold a candle to kamameshi house's chicken rice. It was divvied up into three but the rice was too saucy. Imagine something similar to teriyaki sauce in your gohan. Sticky sweet sauce on rice. 128527 not to my liking

Brown sugar Creme brûlée - this is one of my favorite desserts and I share this craving with my mom. Since we didn't read the description as our hearts and heads were muddled with brûlée, we noticed that it had a different tinge to the normal yellow color and it also tasted quite close to brown sugar. Hmmm, took a closer look at the menu and read the "fine print" - brown sugar créme brûlée it was. 128527

Though the food is important in any dining experience, you can't discount the service. The wait staff assigned to our table was a trainee. Though she did not have a grasp of the menu (at all) she was very nice and pleasant. She was accompanied by wait staff in a kimono who had knowledge on the food but gave us bored and hurried answers. If I thought real hard, my mom could've made a scene about it. Good thing ms. New wait staff compensated for her colleague's bad attitude.

Am not thinking of going back to this resto. There are a lot of Japanese restaurants in the area that deserve more praise.

A good start for this restaurant. The tempura was really good and their kamameshi rice has that nostalgic flavor I was craving for. We also ordered a set of spicy tuna sashimi and that was okay.

I was going to give this place a nice 4 out of 5 stars but they forgot our order of Sukiyaki soup. Nothing ruins a restaurant visit more than one of your orders being left out by the server.
