We were all famished and decided to have dinner at Kettle. We started off with clam chowder (259PHp) it was creamy and delicious. Then we ordered Truffle Gorgonzola (299PHp), Buttermilk Chicken (559PHp) and Spicy Buttermilk Chicken (599PHp), our tummies were happy.

"I kettle how full I am...."

127831 Buttermilk Fried Chicken
You can't leave Kettle without trying their famous buttermilk fried chicken, I love fried chicken so I don't know if biased but I really liked it, perfectly combined with the honey glazed cornbread

127837 Truffle Gorgonzola
Pasta was cooked al dente! Though I find the sauce, too light.

I think we chose a perfect combination, the light truffle pasta compliments the flavorful buttermilk fried chicken 10024

Ordered: Pork and Potato Fries and Buttermilk Chicken and others that I forgot.

The service is good and the food is great. They have big servings so what you're paying is sulit.

After our sumptuous lunch at Ooma,  we found ourselves loitering around Shang.  I wanted to have a light snack before we go home.  Then i saw kettle....i gots to try dem chips.

I dragged him inside.  We got a table immediately,  feigned interest on the other items on their menu (yes,  i only see Chips).   You wouldn't be surprised if I tell you that we got the chips,  yes?

| Pork and Potato Strips.  What was served is a tower of chips.   Crispy potato strips stacked strategically to form a mountain of goodness.

This a mixture of potato strips (Piknik cut)  and pork.   Okay,  whoever thought of mixing these two together is a genius!  I like the fact that they flavored the potatoes well.   I taste truffle on each bite.  The cheese and the thyme creates an interesting flavor contrast.  Truffle x thyme smells so good.  4 stars for now,  i like Fireside's take on chips (truffle x blue cheese)

| Creme Brulee.  This baby is of French descent and has many names - Burnt Cream,   Crema Catalana and Trinity Cream.  This is a dessert made of a custard base covered with a contrasting layer of hard caramel.

I haven't eaten a lot of french pastries in my lifetime and i dunno how a mean Creme Brulee should taste like.  I can say that they nailed the caramel layer,  i can hear cracks when i tapped my spoon on the caramel surface.   The custard is creamy and not overly sweet.

Kettle is one of the restaurants I'd visit again.   I want to try their savory dishes soon.

For some reasons, we never had the chance to try Kettle in the past until yesterday.

We ordered the ff:
Buttermilk fried Chicken (more or less Php600 inclusive of SC) - it was served with gravy, spiced maple syrup (I think it's maple) and some cornbread.
Serving was huge, it was meant for sharing. Sometimes when you are craving for some good ol' fried chickent, then this is THAT chicken - crispy skin, juicy and flavorful meat. It's not an out of this world taste, but, it definitely falls under the COMFORT FOOD category.

Mac and Four Cheese around php300 inclusive of SC
- it's a given that when I'm with the kids, the first thing they notice on the menu is CHEESE. It was a good choice. Very yummy, creamy, cheese wasn't overpowering. It is good for 1 person only (or maybe a little bitin for 1 adult :) )

US ANGUS BEEF SHORT RIBS more or less Php600 inclusive of SC
- served with yummy mashed potato and coleslaw
- my son loves ribs so that's the main thing he looks for. It is more of a Beef Stew
-best eaten with rice (that's what my son did)
-big serving but if you are a big eater, you might get bitin with the beef.

My friends ordered the Rosemary Roast Chicken, Angus Beef Hash, Pork strips (cant recall), Truffle pasta. They all seemed to enjoy their orders.

Overall, this is a good family place. It is also conducive for big groups. I highly recommend this place as it is very comfortable, provides good service, good food.

Budget minimum of P600-P700 per person.

The presentation is a bit messy for a restaurant located in a high-end mall but the taste of this Truffle Gorgonzola pasta is simply superb!

Had early dinner here. Ordered their buttermilk fried chicken, steak fries, baked mac, truffle pasta and house salad. Loved the house salad and pasta dishes. Chicken was huge and crusty. Corn bread was yummy. The free slice of checkered cake was a beauty but it was an old cake. :(. Service was good, dining area can be cooler.

I was invited by a friend to try this Kettle resto in Shangrila Mall, was curious about it too! They have American and European cuisines.

I have tried this famous Pork & Potato Strips (P389) with crunchy pork belly and potato strips, fresh herbs, red pepper and truffle oil.

Their Spicy Buttermilk Fried chicken (P599) is also good, one of their bestsellers. It has honey glazed jalapeño cornbread, gravy and cajun honey. I liked it because it's spicy and juicy! 128525

The serving size is actually good for sharing! They have good customer service too 128522128077🏼

It has been a long while since I last visited Kettle. I still remember the food I ordered in Kettle. The Mac and Four Cheese and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken definitely stood out. Anyway, since it was a year, it was time to visit again.

Hello, Kettle!

This time around, we decided to order the following: Oven Roasted Squash Soup (PHP269), Angus Roast beef Hash (PHP539), Angus Roast beef Sandwich (PHP459), Miso Glazed Salmon (PHP569), a carafe of green iced tea (PHP179), and a slice of Checkered Cake (PHP209).

First served was the iced tea.

It had a strong green tea taste that made it slightly bitter. In short, my sister didn’t like it.

Next served was the soup. I liked that it was creamy and the tidbits of shrimp added texture to the dish. It was heavenly!

Okay, my family loves roast beef. They ordered roast beef sandwich and roast beef hash. I was telling them that only one should order but no one wanted to change. *sigh* Fine.

After trying both, I realized that the only difference was that the sandwich was cheesier and that it had a banana inside making it a bit sweet. The hash was potato overload with the oh-so-soft-and-savory roast beef. The hash was also topped with a fried egg. Both were great but I would be more inclined to order the roast beef hash as it would be easier to share.

Finally, my salmon was served.

It was love at first sight. I loved the contrast of the slightly salty salmon with the mango cilantro salsa. The cold soba was also refreshing. The different textures and flavors went well together making this one of my favorite dishes to date.

The cake though was a disappointment. It tasted fine but it was somewhat dry for a cake. I guess it wasn’t from a new batch.

I’ll definitely visit again though for more of that salmon!

Unfortunately, no photos, but, if the menus were being real, we had:
Tower of Potato Strips with slices of pork
Spicy corned bread with buttermilk chicken
Creamy truffles gorgonzola
Mac and cheese
Yummy Smoked US Beef Brisket Sandwich

OH MY G. Ang sarap po! Huhu. Although the menu names were quite deceiving, but, gosh.

Quick service too!

Kettle did not live up to the hype I have been hearing about. The house salad was pretty ordinary. The buttermilk chicken was too greasy for me. I liked the potato and pork strips though. Crunchy, tasty and has big enough portion to feed 4-5 people. Looks like daing na dilis but tastes like piknik. It has great potential for bar chow and would go great with cold beer. The clam chowder soup is creamy but it did not have the taste of clams. Overall, the food is just average.

So glad to be back! :)

My friend and I took our hosts from the US here and they loved it! We ordered the usual favorites, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and the Truffle Fries! :) Of course I loved it. The crispy chicken was seasoned perfectly and went perfectly with the cornbread topped with their honey!

I was pleasantly surprised with their Sisig Tacos (in the photo). According to my host, they looked like some of the tacos you can get from a food truck in the US. The taste was even on another level! It was bursting with flavor, the sisig, the sauce, they all went well together with the soft taco shell! It was divine!

I will definitely come back! <3

Kettle is a comfort food restaurant that offers local and american recipes with an emphasis on quality and fresh ingredients similar to Wild Flour and Green Pastures. This is my first visit after having heard from family and friends about the place.

The ambience is very much contemporary but nothing inspiring or instagram worthy. Kettle is popular for their Buttermilk Fried Chicken. However, my appetite was not up for it so I opted for the Half Pound Angus Beef Burger instead. I've been a burger lover in the past but my lifestyle has changed a bit. I love Chili's burgers so that will be my point of comparison. The burger was served beautifully open faced with a slice of pickle on top (I love pickles by the way). The buns were soft, sweet, and light. But the star here is the burger and I must say it's pretty huge! But it's not intimidating (for a guy at least). The outer crust of the patty was a tad tough to cut through but that's on me because I asked for it to be well done. The beef was grilled all the way through and no fillers here- it's all meat. The beef was juicy and flavorful. I love the taste of Angus so I'm easy to please. With the inclusion of cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes to round out the burger, it is classic. If you love your burgers big and without the fancies then this is it.

I would reccomend Kettle based on this dish. I will come back to try their famous Buttermilk Chicken next time.

Quality has plummeted immensely; I'm beyond disappointed

Ordered the usual: buttermilk fried chicken with corn muffins & truffled brown rice

Everything was mediocre & forgettable, much unlike my first few experiences here, when the hype was at its highest. Sad.

It's one of those rare times that we're out of the south! Had a meeting at Shang so I suggested we try kettle since it is very highly rated. Got there around 7 and there was already a line to be seated. Luckily though, we got seated right away cos there was just 2 of us.
While walking to our table, I saw two table with the towering pork and potato strips so I asked our server what that was, hehe. Hubbybear asked what their specialty was and our server said it's the buttermilk chicken and since it's a Saturday, they have the spicy one that day. Okay! So we got that, the pork strips and an order of their French onion soup.
Servers were polite and attentive, they regularly changed our water carafe without us calling their attention. Food all arrived within ten minutes. The soup was good, gooey cheese with sweet onions. Pero mas masarap parin Sa Bamba hehe 128522 the giant pork and potato strips arrived and it was huge! We didn't even make a dent 128540 the chicken arrived last (in proper order 128077🏼) and again, huge servings! So I guess ok naman yung price for the amount of food that you get. I think 3 people could've shared it! It was pretty spicy (for me at least), even the muffins had jalapeños in them! Food was good, not bland nor dry. However, I think they used some artificial flavoring (maybe in the batter) cos I got a massive headache halfway through the meal. Don't get me wrong, the food was delish, I'm just allergic to msg and such. We still had a ton of food left so we had it wrapped and taken home.
Maybe will try the salads and sandwiches next time?
