My friend Darlene M, is now in Qatar for work, but before she went away we had a little get-together for her at Kettle in SM Aura. I honestly didn't know what to expect of this place, but I relied on Looloo and the reviews are good.

I ordered cafe latte and let me get this out of the way before I talk about food. Don't order this. Unless so-so tasting coffee is okay with you then go ahead. But if like your coffee creamy and rich, then do away with it.

I have no complaints about the food though, it's good. Serving is small though and it's pricey so get your crew together so you can taste more food. Each plate is good for 2 persons, 3 at the most.

We started with Darlene's order, Corned Beef Hash (PHP 559). It comes with egg, potatoes, and choice of rice or bread. It's not the shredded corned beef that you find in a can, this one is cut into bite-size cubes. If you ask me what is the first or one thing that I would recommend off the menu, this is it. You won't believe how flavorful and how tender the corned beef is. It tasted divine. I couldn't stop myself from stuffing them cubes in my mouth.

The Truffle Gorgonzola pasta (PHP 299) was also quite nice but a plate of this is only good for 2 pax. It wasn't swimming in oil and I like that hint of cream, kinda like the tame version of carbonara.

Kettle's bestseller is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken (PHP 599). Not the best friend chicken I've had but it was still good. The breaded skin is crispy and has that umay factor so go easy on it.

All in all the food was fine.

It was my first time dining at Kettle and everything was soooo delicious! My bestfriend and I ordered food that was fit for 4 people, and we were able to finish everything 128514 We ordered their buttermilk chicken, potato and pork strips, and truffle pasta - they were all very delicious.

I'm definitely going back for more!

I mentioned in my previous reviews that I'm not a fan of chicken and only eat it if it’s really good. Well, Kettle's buttermilk fried chicken is really good so you fried chicken lovers out there must give it a try!

PLACE AND SERVICE 1108811088110881108811088
Place looks clean and modern. It has these black and white photos of Brooklyn bridge that looks very sophisticated. For that pop of color, they have red walls on one side of the room. The drop down black lights give the place an effortless clean look. I love how the natural light flows into the room 128524
Service was very fast. Food was served in less than 10 minutes. The staff were attentive and always on the lookout for empty glasses.

Honey Glazed Cornbread • Country Gravy • Cajun honey

I loved how Kettle (and Fireside) has mastered the art of frying chicken. It was served with two MASSIVE 128563 pieces of boneless thigh-leg quarter which were well coated and seasoned and deep fried to perfection. The chicken itself was very tender and juicy. The breading was just right – not too thin and not too thick. The skin had a crunch element to it which I liked. To top it off, their country gravy and Cajun honey gave another level of flavor that instantly gives you that degree of happiness. I must say, this is great comfort food especially on a rainy day 9748

Spaghetti • Truffle • Gruyere • Parmesan • Bacon

If you love that striking cheese and truffle cream flavor, go for this. Spaghetti was cooked al dente, covered in gorgonzola and truffle cream. The white canvas was then topped with fresh basil 127807 for the pop of color. The parmesan served was not enough for a cheese lover like me so I asked for more which the staff kindly provided.

Servings are quite large. For example, the fried chicken is already good for two. The pasta is actually only good for one but it feels very heavy because of the cheese. My point is, the value for money is good128176 It's not that expensive once you see the generous serving they provide. I would definitely come back on a regular basis if I ever feel the need for good comfort food 128077🏻

Kettle is one of those restaurants with a modern menu and a welcoming casual atmosphere to it. A place to hang out with either friends or family, or even a nice date. I'd been to their first branch in Shang a few times, and I've not yet been to their SM Aura branch until recently.

Brought friends over who haven't been to Kettle yet, and they liked their food. We ordered the Chorizo Gambas for appetizer instead of the usual, impressive and seemingly never ending Pork & Potato Strips (we were, um, feeling like we didn't want too much carbs 128514, yeah right!). The Chorizo Gambas, with the mixture of garlic shrimps, sauteed chorizo, peppers and lemon, was pricey at almost P500, but the quantity was decent and the taste of it was just okay. I would have preferred it more garlicky, so eating it reminded me that I ought not order this again next time. It reminded me of my impression of it during a visit at the Shang branch before. Admittedly, I'm more impressed with the Pork & Potato Strips. Verdict for the Chorizo Gambas 127775127775127775

I ordered Kettle's most staple dish, Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I was also curious about their spicy version, and it was great of their supervisor to mention to me that I can also order their Spicy version (so regardless of their menu, which said the spicy was available only on Saturdays, it could be purchased anytime now). As king of consumer right of choice 128522, I asked if it can be one spicy and one normal and they said yes! Great. So I got to try the spicy version for the first time while my friends get to try both versions. Instead of corn bread on the side, I asked mine to be changed to mushroom truffle brown rice, for an additional P39, to which I said sure. Deboned thigh-leg quarter portions per piece, two pieces--- dang, these suckers are huge, and well coated and seasoned, deep fried and made very crunchy. The mushroom truffle brown rice was very soft, right moistness and so deliciously sinful. #byebyediet (what diet 128526) At nearly P600, like most of the Kettle dishes, these are a tad pricey, but their portions are HUGE and can justify it. It has two sauces, gravy and Cajun honey, the latter of which was the best! Both spicy and regular versions were good. Nice to try the spicy one for a change. 127775127775127775127775127775

My friend also ordered Australian Lamb Adobo, which I've tried before. Had a small bite. Well seasoned, lasang adobo indeed, and the lamb was very soft and easy to chew on. Also served with the truffle brown rice. My friend lapped up the rice, showing how delicious both the rice and lamb were together. 127775127775127775127775

Also got to try my other friend's sandwich, Shrimp Po'Boy (Cajun Breaded Shrimps with yummy Remoulade sauce). I also dipped the shrimp and fries on that yummy remoulade sauce. Pretty awesome stuff. I also was thinking of ordering this, but I wanted them to try the buttermilk chicken, so at least I was happy to try this. 127775127775127775127775

We had Pistachio cake for dessert, which was quite lovely. Just right sweetness icing, thick enough, pistachio flavor coming out well but not overwhelming, and very soft chiffon cake. They have more dessert options, but we picked this and it was a great choice. 12777512777512777512777511088

Overall, a smidge above 4 stars, the ambience of this place, brightly lit, having a bistro and a bit of a diner look, has a casual feel to it. Service was superb. Always filling up the water glass proactively. Food arrived fairly quickly. Oh and I like that their menu contains a variety of food that meshes Filipino cuisine, with a lot Western influence. Whether you pick a sandwich, pasta, main course, salad or dessert, their portions are usually huge and have a quality to it. I've read in ourawesomeplanet's blog that the owners of this also own Meat Plus and Tender Bob's. Carnivore galore, indeed. Great that it still is a hit, and looking forward to their next concepts.128523

It's a shame I've yet to review their original branch despite visiting that one a few times before this branch, so I thought I'd review it well enough now. 128521

Date of visit: November 2015
This restaurant has long been in my bookmarks due to the favorable responses I've read about this place. However, it took time to finally cross it off my list due to some budget constraints. The price of the food here isn't that affordable, but upon trying it out, I was able to understand the true worth of Kettle. The ambiance of the place, service of the staff, and the quality and portions of the food all make up for the pricing. The rosemary garlic chicken was okay. You can taste the lemon more in the whole dish rather than the rosemary, which was what I expected. Their buttermilk fried chicken is a must try. The chicken was juicy, and perfectly goes with their muffins (although you can also eat it with plain rice, which I did). It is also a plus that the serving of each dish (for me) is good for sharing. So if you feel like raising your budget for this weekend's foodtrip, I recommend that you spend it here in Kettle.

I go to this place whenever I'm having a rough day. Their buttermilk chicken and smoked salmon salad reminds me of home with your mom tapping your back saying everything is going to be fine. I had this with one of my colleague as I dont want to chomp down one order of buttermilk fried chicken. The muffins are so good and soft and yummy and gives me that burst of happiness everytime.

Sunday lunch with le familia!!!! 128106

I was really torned between Kettle and Morganfield's. I was quite worried about the waiting time of both restaurants especially on a Sunday lunch, so I tried calling both restaurants for reservations but both weren't answering the call. Lol. On the last minute, we opted for Kettle since my parents would prefer a restaurant inside a mall where we can do windowshopping or maybe watch a movie after.

It's quite a relief that the place wasn't packed when we checked in. We tried some of my favorites such as the Smoked Salmon Salad and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I was actually opting for Mac 'n Four Cheese but dad told me he wanted to try the Truffle Gorgonzola, so we got that one. We also tried their US Angus Short Ribs.

Serving time was quick. In an instant, our table was full of the dishes we got. Lol.

Smoked Salmon Salad - my dad's favorite! He's a salad fan though he never made some for us to try!

Truffle Gorgonzola - I didn't like this when I tried this for the first time, but was surprised that I've grown to like it. Rich creamy truffle sauce in spaghetti pasta and parmesan cheese. I highly suggest that you share this dish instead of finishing it all by itself.

US Angus Short Ribs - Almost tender but some parts were quite tough. Braised in cerveza negra and chipotle bbq sauce for that strong and kicking taste. Well it tastes really well but it didn't get me on the first bite though. The garlic mashed potato was meh.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken - Ohhh how I love this precious plate of goodness! I love fried chicken and this has to be the best fried chicken in my opinion! Really juicy! My parents really loved it too. Naguunahan pa nga kami! 128514128514128514

We didn't finish everything mainly because we ordered rice. Wrong move! But hey, you can't blame us because it's lunchtime! 9996🏼️ And I actually thought that we would need one more dish but my assumptions were wrong! Haha.

Anyway... We got to enjoy our stay here. Service was outstanding though the AC wasn't in full power and we're right beside to a fan on top of a table. 128517 Now my parents are asking me to bring them back here soon! 128522

Making a review for the Resorts World branch, since I think they haven't added the location on their list yet

Anyways, been wanting to try Kettle for quite sometime now but the other branches seems far that's why I was glad to see it open in RW. We went here for dinner after watching a movie and it was a pretty good experience.

Ordered their famous Buttermilk Fried Chicken for my brother, their Salad for mom, for dad and of course, I got the grilled cheese

And one of the things I love about family dinners is you get to taste all of the food ordered without worrying whether you get too much from them. Hehe So... I got to try everything, and all were good!

My Kettle Four Grilled Cheese (369php) was crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, with the right amount of saltiness from the cheese. The basil touch was like cherry on top, too. It paired perfectly with the sweet potato fries since it wasn't greasy as the normal fries. Although it was easily filling because, of course sweet potato. But yeah, this goes to my "best grilled cheese sandwiches list"

The Buttermilk Fried Chicken (559php), ugh. It was one of the best buttermilk fried chicken recipes I have tried. I was able to say that despite having only 2 bites! It was that good! Aaand I didn't know that maple would taste good as a gravy for this, too!

The Angus Roast Beef Sandwich (469php), juicy and the havarti and cheddar mixed in well with the caramelized onions. Dad seemed to like it (knowing he's very picky with 1. Picking a restaurant he's not familiar with and 2. eating food without rice), so yeah its kind of an achievement hehe

The Smoked Salmon Salad (289php) compliments everything, its light, not too creamy from the dressing (I am not a fan or creamy dressings actually) and the salmon was tasty. The smokey flavor removes the taste from rest of the greasy food.

Like what I said earlier, it was a good experience, the staff was nice and the food was amazing. I finally have a go to restaurant in RW that's just near the cinemas!

Looking forward to try their mac and cheese next time!128526

PS. Bad quality photos bec I only took screenshots from the video that I made for this.9996

So I tried this branch last night and I must say that the buttermilk chicken in this particular location tastes so much better than the one in Shang. It was exceptionally crisp with just the right amount of batter.

We also had the infamous potato and pork strips, which we weren't able to finish; the short ribs which were quite tender but had a sweet sauce which I didn't really like, and the vodka chorizo pasta which was ok.

Service was good and prompt, although I'm sure it could get crazy during the weekend.

Will I go back? Sure. My daughter will probably love the buttermilk chicken here.

Kettle was our restaurant of choice for dinner on a Friday night and I am proud to announce that I have no regrets! Why? Everything we had was AMAZING!

It all started with the appetizer that we ordered - U.S Angus Brisket Sisig Tacos. Three soft tacos topped with pickled slaw x cilantro x Chipotle pepper coulis with generous heaping of Angus Brisket cubes! Everything went well together! Sweet, salty, a little sour, spicy and the unforgettable tenderness of the meat that was so flavorful as well. So good, I tell you, if you have no problems with spicy food, GO GET THIS!

Next, we got their famous Buttermilk Fried Chicken. When I asked the server how big was the serving, he said that it's American size so an order is good for 2. And he wasn't kidding! Two huge chicken portions for 599 Php wasn't bad at all. It came with 3 corn muffins and two sauces - gravy and herb infused honey. The fried chicken was so crispy yet so tender and juicy inside. Really good! The gravy enhanced the flavors but when combined with honey, you'll get the best out of it. The combination of salty and sweet was unbeatable. Every bite was a party in my mouth!

We also got an order of their Truffle Gorgonzola and it was great as well. Spaghetti that was smothered with truffle cream and finished off with fried basil and parmesan. A little more truffle oil for me to make it the bomb but nonetheless, it was a simple but great pasta dish.

We definitely had a great time. Their crew was amazing! Very attentive people, very easy to request for whatever.

Worth every peso spent! Definitely coming back for more 128516

Can't go wrong with Kettle!

Kettle Salad
- A sweet and tangy vinaigrette is drizzled over mixed greens. So many flavors and textures in every bite!

Baked Brie
- We always order this because it's just so damn good! Crisp and flaky pastry encases the wonderful brie complemented by a berry and balsamic vinegar sauce. I didn't want to share this.

Angus Roast Beef Hash
- Flavorful chunks of meat (with some fat hehe) smothered in gravy. The potatoes are simply divine covered in gravy. Be sure to order rice, although I paired it with...

Mac and Cheese
- Loaded with four different cheeses. This was not too rich (as cheese-smothered dishes tend to be,) and I could've finished the whole thing alone.

I sopped up the gravy and cheese on my plate with bread and I left the place an incredibly happy person.

Celebrated my 22nd birthday here with the fambam in tow.
I actually celebrated my 21st at Kettle as well but in their Shangri-la branch. Plain coincidence! We just really like Kettle as I am in love with their buttermilk fried chicken.

I totally arrived late as I came from my management's Christmas Party from Glorietta. Took a cab as I made my way to BGC. Luckily traffic was manageable. Fortunately, my family had to wait for me since I am in charge of ordering the food and I was paying the bill.

Ordered my main faves smoked salmon salad, steak and fries, buttermilk fried chix, steak and hash, some pasta I can't remember but they were all good! Bill was around 2.5k 128184

Service great!

Finally. Got to try Kettle. I went there early to make a reservation for 7pm but I was informed that they don't accept reservation. But when I went back around 730pm, I easily got myself a table for 3 as the store is not that full.

I ordered their pork and fries since I am already hungry and my friends are both late and I am shock to see how tall the serving is. And it was like eating PiKnIk since it is served shredded and deep fried crunchy. Everything we ordered is really amazing. Buttermilk friend chicken is juicy and tasty. Paired well with the honey spicy sauce that comes with it. Their salmon pasta is also yummy. The grilled salmon is complimenting the al dente rich and flavorful taste of the pasta. Ribs are quite too sweet but toned down with the creamy taste of the mashed potato. 128523128077🏻

I can't wait to be back to try their other food. I should probably be back here on a Saturday since they are only serving the spicy buttermilk friend chicken during Sats which I don't really understand 🤔🤔🤔

It's a post dinner treat by my cousin. She ordered buttermilk chicken, with gravy, cajun honey dip and cornbread on the side. I'm not a fan of cornbread but the buttermilk chicken is really good. So tender and juicy inside. I like their mac and 4 cheese. We also had truffle gorgonzola pasta and kettle's house salad. Both good, but nothing to rave about. Good ambiance and attentive staff. I'd come back for sure, want to try their potato strings that served at the next table. 128523

What I only loved about this restaurant is their Buttermilk Fried Chicken. It may seem pricey but it's worth it! One serving can be shared by 2 or 3 people. They serve it with Country Gravy but I recommend you try it with Honey. The combination of their herbs, spices, the juicy meat, and honey is like a party in your mouth.
