Tried this Cali Maki Twister for lunch today 128070🏼it's Crunchy Chicken fillet, mango bits and cucumber with Japanese mayo dressing wrapped in a toasted Tortilla sandwich @85 128077🏼 Weird combination but it actually tasted pretty good 128514 and quite filling too! Best to eat it immediately while the tortilla is still soft, warm and fluffy 128522

128513 Crappy photo though... Haha.. This is what happens when hunger strikes...

I ordered their new meal, the Crunchy Cheese Chicken---- most terrible chicken dish I had ever! The chicken and rice were bland and they had this mushroom sauce/soup that was equally disgusting. Don't order it! Just stick to your usual KFC favourites.

Junior Double Down finally! I do love sandwiches and I don't want to let KFC's bacon-sandwiched-in-a-chicken pass without trying it out.

I love it when KFC thinks out of the box to give us customers adventurous meals such as the super-anghang Zinger and their swak to the diet Twister which their competitors still do not offer until now.

An entirely out-of-the-box approach to sandwiches, KFC's Junior Double Down is really good, far better than the way it actually looks as this sandwich is definitely not photogenic. The Junior Double Down is basically a strip of bacon and cheese sandwiched in two chicken fillet slices.

I don't like the way it is served, though. The Junior Double Down comes totally wrapped in paper and put in a paper cone, perhaps to absorb the excess oils from frying. Aside from that, the all-meat sandwich is all goodness... Umm.. quite oily but really good.

As it is an all-meat sandwich, the Junior Double Down is heavy on the tummy. Not really a meat lover, I ordered extra sliced buns (@ P18) just to make sure I don't get the umay factor after eating. The sliced bread worked well when I sandwiched one chicken fillet (para din ako umorder ng chicken fillet sandwich).

At P120 with fries and regular drinks, the Junior Double Down is an ideal meal for those seeking gastronomic adventures on a budget.

KFC Chicken Salad goes well with the Cali Maki Twister! Not bad for a fast food salad - if you want to skip the fried chicken bits then you can order the Garden Salad instead.
