We ordered Teppanyaki, Tempura, Gyoza and Maki! Yum. It's good to be in RBC at this time of the day. 6pm, it is!

Just your ordinary japanese resto. Nothing special about it. A bit pricey too. Their California Maki was too sticky.

I remember Jenn N asked me to this Asparagus and Mayo Spaghetti from Kimono Ken which I really liked. I was in Medical City yesterday for my check up and was asked to go back in the afternoon to complete my tests. I was surprised that the business center has a lot of food options. I was craving for Japanese food and remembered the mayo spaghetti when I saw Kimono Ken.

I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki with Chahan and the Asparagus Mayo Spaghetti of course. The chicken was cooked really well and the sauce was teriyaki-good! I like that they put a lot of sesame seeds in the sauce. The Chahan was delicious as well and had the smell of a hot wok. It was cooked really well and was just the perfect pairing for the saucy chicken teriyaki. Not to forget, the Asparagus Mayo is a masterpiece. It's a simple dish with mayo, bacon bits and asparagus on a perfectly cooked spaghetti. Simple can be a lot!

Okay, so halatang tinatamad akong magtrabaho kaya puro backlog reviews. Hahaha!!

Since I had tendon in Osaka, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I've been searching for the most authentic tendon in Manila, but so far nothing comes close

Like this one from Kimono Ken: major fail.

The sauce was too thick and salty. And the tempura batter was a bit heavy.

Suggestions, please!!! I'm desperate!! 128514

Staff was pleasant, helpful and attentive. They have a vast array of Japanese dishes. Their chahan has a very nice flavor that does not overpower the main dish. Chicken was so tasty, prawn tempura shrimp was not flaky, not greasy and so yummy.128539 The quality of their salmon sashimi was really fresh as well as their sushi. 127857127843127864127865

I was curious about the Chirashi-don from Kimono Ken, so I decided to deviate from my usual order (usually some sort of beef/chicken teriyaki and creamy spicy tuna). I ordered take-out since we were having a working lunch, but when I pulled out my container, I was surprised that the presentation was still as neat and organized as seen in the picture above. ALMOST a feast for the eyes!

The sashimi was good too, but of course you'll get better quality at more traditional places like in Little Tokyo or Nihon Bashitei (maybe it's the source of the fish?) Just beware, if you're on a budget, this is not the dish to order as it will set you back about 400+

And if you're on a diet, order something else, because the rice (even if it's sushi rice) is overflowing. There's just so much of it!

Otherwise, this is a dish I really enjoyed, even if I probably wouldn't order it here again. 128522

My parents and I usually dine here whenever we have checkups or people to visit in TMC. Not my favorite Jap places but one of the better choices in TMC (well, to my parents' taste anyway). I'm happy that a few new restos opened up recently (hello Juju).

The service is always a bit slow. It's never packed but we always find ourselves waiting a long time for the check and change. Confuses me every time.

Their salmon sashimi is really good but it's always bitin. A few pieces Lang (makes me want to rush back to Tokyu for some Salmon Sahimi platter).

Their teriyaki chicken, sukiyaki, and fried tofu are really good though. 128077

Nippon Hamburger Steak (if i remember correctly).

I didn't like it because the hamburger was deficient in quality and taste.

I keep telling myself not to finish one whole order of their Mayo spaghetti, but I find myself finishing it all and always get umay after. 128517

I think this is best when shared but I don't really know someone who likes this dish. 128514

They have lots of great japanese foods on their menu. I already tried philly rolls, dynamite maki, spicy maguro, bacon and asparagus, chicken cheese roll, katsudon, teriyaki, japanese curry, etc and they are all pop! Medyo may kamahalan pero sulit naman pag ibabangga sa lasa ng sineserve nila..

We ate lunch out with some officemates at Kimono Ken, which is usually our default since it's so close to us. I had baon, so I just ordered a Mount Fuji roll because I saw it had some spicy tuna in it.

I was a bit disappointed since it tasted a lot like spicy California Maki, which is not bad, but not too great either. And for 240 Pesos, I think I may have just been better off ordering the Creamy Spicy Tuna anyway (almost the same price if not cheaper).

Definitely will order something else next time.

A quick friday night dinner while I stray away from the hospital. Surprisingly, this place was almost empty and to think it's a payday weekend. So I guess it's only busy during lunch time.

They're known for having an affordable Japanese fare. We ordered quite a lot for just 3 persons- Spicy Fresh Maguro Salad, Tofu Steak, Gyoza, Crunchy Kani Maki, Chahan Special, Tonkatsu, Mixed Seafood Platter
and Spicy Maguro Roll.

Portions are good enough for sharing.

The salad was mostly veggies and not much tuna so it tasted bland even with their dressing. The rest was alright. It's not as great as Omakase but passable and cheaper. (Sheesh, I'm making Omakase a benchmark for all other Japanese restos). At least this one's better than most fast food with the same menu.

Service was so-so. Our bill took ages.
