This is our go to place in SM BF for a quick reliable Japanese meal. I recently tried out their OmuRice - i'm not sure if this is new, but it was my first time seeing it on their menu.

I had childhood memories back in the late 90's watching Oh Tokyo! (Anyone else remember this!) when resident host Ellen Nishiumi eats, travel her way around Tokyo and i fondly remember her eating OmuRice! She is quick honest in her food reviews. She describes it as simply being a combination of tomato ketchup, rice and chicken eveloped in a fluffy scrambled egg! Although she was not highly enthusiastic about it i was taken by the look and feel of that particular episode! Seeing it on their menu I had to try it! And i have to admit it was nothing more than ketchup, rice, generously added with button mushrooms and chicken... but i absolutely LOVE it! I was in Oh Tokyo Heaven! I hope they have reruns soon. Paired it with Kani Tempura and their Kimono Ken Special drink.

Service is quick and always friendly. A must visit when in the South. Although they have branches in Shangrila Plaza Mall too!

My little bowl of comfort. :) ordered the chicken katsudon today, not my usual order which is katsudon. Small diff though. Gave them 3 stars though because i found their dish too salty :( but this is the first time i experienced this. Usually i like how their katsudon tastes. Maybe because it's the chicken katsudon which i ordered. Mhmmm.

But still good service and a nice place to eat in (ambience wise) :) haha

Anyway, take care everyone :)

Green Tea Jelly Ice Cream tops my dessert list for November! MrSweetTooth could not resist this tempting treat! Taste buds all agog over the bitter sweet flavor mix. Lots of jelly and lots more ice cream plus topped with oreo bits for cruch and texture. Oishi! #MrSweetToothlikeylikey 128523128523128523

Negi Ramen was okay but the Chicken Katsu sadly was not able to live up to my expectations. I didn't really expect Yabu level but since it looked so good, I overestimated the taste. 128533 I didn't like it at all because it was so juicy on the inside. Legit katsu's supposed to be a bit dry and lean. Theirs had a lot of fat. But I don't think it's fair to complain about the katsu since it's obviously not their specialty. 128514 I liked their gyoza though!

Good service and very affordable. Generally (katsu rants aside) not bad at all.

The semi-affordable Japanese resto that rivals the like if Teriyaki Boy, Tokyo-Tokyo and etc. But a little bit more on the authentic side. Food is good, we ordered the Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Terridon, and their Kimono Ken Special drink which is basically mixed fruit drink. Ambiance is ok too but the service lacks a bit. Getting our food and our bill took too long.

A good resto if you're craving for some Japanese cuisine, not that affordable but is good enough.

After not seeing each other for more than two weeks because of his measles, my partner and I met in SM BF to have dinner and watch Exodus.

While waiting for the movie, we decided to have dinner first. I suggested Shitamachi since both of us haven't tried eating there yet. He was craving for maki that time, and since there aren't any on Shitamachi's menu, he then suggested Kimono Ken.

I initially wanted Ramen, but after seeing wide selection of this Japanese resto's menu, I decided to get Yaki-Udon (P240) instead. We also ordered Beef Teriyaki (P295), Ebi Tempura (P410), Kimono Roll (P265), and Kani Salad Maki (P160).

I loved their Kani Salad Maki and Kimono Rolls. The maki's cucumber salad on top of it perfectly fused together with the crab sticks and mango in my mouth. The rolls' large slices make it hard to eat in whole, but I still tried doing it, anyway. Hehe. It, too, was very delectable.

Same goes for the Beef Teriyaki and Yaki-Udon. As for the teriyaki, the sauce and sesame seeds went perfectly with the tender beef, making every bite worth chewing and swallowing. The Yaki-Udon was a bit sour, but still had that pancit-like taste to it. It was quite a handful, since its noodles are very thick. I wasn't able to finsh eating it because I was too full.

Then there's the tempura. No Asian restaurant has an all-meat menu, unless it's the only thing they serve. My partner had me try one, and it's a good thing that the prawn didn't have any taste. I liked it, but people will still have a lot of convincing to do before I get to love seafood. Haha!

The lady at the reception area was very courteous and helpful as she assisted us to where we wanted to sit. The servers were also very polite and fast. We were able to eat without having to wait for more than 15 minutes.

Going back here would be easy, since this mall is just near my place. I'll definitely go back for their maki, and perhaps try other cuisines on their menu as well.

いただきます!(^_^)i looove everything about japan because of my recent shoujo manga addiction which started not too long ago. 128514 and my sisters and i love to eat at japanese restos, so we stumbled upon this newly opened jap resto here in sm bf (very few are open) i tried their kani salad, the veggies were very fresh and the dressing is light and creamy that i devoured the entire plate. 128514 also, their chicken curry was tasty! rice was exquisite, (jap rice is the best!) and right here in this photo is the chicken teridon and their best selling green tea matcha jelly, the chicken teridon was so-so, didn't even finish my serving because i think it was good for two people. so, value for money is 128077 and i'm such a sucker for everything green tea, well, i have to say, YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR GREEN TEA JELLY! it was heavenly, well, for me as a matcha lover! 128154 ambience was cozy! serving time was fast! 128076

Arrived at noon, but friends were there slightly ahead of time to grab a table. Had the gomoku ramen. Nice flavored broth (mild, and not salty). Chicken was so tasty -- Prawn tempura shrimp, not flaky , not greasy, so yummy. Good-sized portions, all under P600!? I'll come again.
