I had my dinner here for two consecutive nights and so far, I had a great experience. I tried their Oyakodon, a japanese rice bowl topped with steamed sliced chicken, mushrooms and chopped onions with egg on top. It is flavorful and "mabigat sa tyan" for real. Lol.

I also tried their Yakisoba that felt like I'm eating a birthday noodles from a chinese restaurant. I don't know if that is the legit Yakisoba or the Yakisoba I know from Tokyo Tokyo.

Their Ebi curry (can't remember the name of the dish from their menu) is really good. The only thing I did not liked about was the tempura, ang cute nung shrimp but it looked so big bec of the flour. BUT they're not the only who does this naman.

I enjoyed their sushi too. I was able to try two different kinds of their sushi. I forgot what its called ulit 128514

All in all, I enjoyed the experience. 128523
Sorry guys, I only have picture of Oyakodon 9996🏻️

This is our family's go to resto when we have a small celebration or just wanna invest in some delish and affordable Japanese food.

The staff are all very friendly, from when you enter to taking your orders. They are quick to get your orders and the wait time isn't all that long. What I love about them is that they're also willing to entertain customers as my dad loves to stick in a few stories here and there.

The food, as I mentioned earlier, is delicious. My usual order is the five piece tempura which is one of my faves. Their rolls and makis are also one of my top recommendations, being the Philadelphia role and the Kani Salad Maki. Speaking of salads, I would also recommend their wide array of greens and also their gyudon (ebi gyudon for me!)

The food is fairly priced, not being too expensive. If you're craving for some Japanese food with a good budget, I suggest making your stop here :)

This is my friend's favorite place. Ever. Like if there's Kimono Ken nearby, you cannot suggest anything else. It HAS to be Kimono Ken or you'll lose one close friend.

The usual suspects when we eat out are: Chicken Teriyaki Salad (get it with extra wasabi-mayo dressing), one sushi (in this case it's Mount Fuji Roll which is not really spicy), and a rice meal (or two). We filled out the table for 4 because we were so famished and we haven't even started cramming for Christmas. "Miss, extra chahan please. Thanks!"

She recommends you get the teppanyaki and of course the chahan. The Tendon (Ebi) is priced at par with other Jap restos so eat your heart out.

It's comfort food when you see it. (Just probably stay away from the noodles/soup dishes. You have Ippudo for that. Haha.)

An errand day at the mall with my cousin Amor and was craving for Japanese specialties that is why our feet brought us to Kimono Ken. I ordered for Gyoza initially, it passed my taste buds as the meat were balanced by the veggies mixed into it and therefore a thumbs up for me. The California Fry Maki, as the name implies, its the usual maki with mango and crab only breaded and deep fried. It was delicious but I still prefer the cold, "non-fried" maki. Spamaki was a comfort food, with no tamago as requested by my cousin was already a hit therefore the one which has it surely will be good as well. Out of curiosity, we ordered Potato croquettes as this is not usually in a Japanese menu. Its mashed potato with meat in it though little can you taste the meat, for me its just so-so potato balls.. But this Maguro Sashimi won my heart! Im picky when it comes to Sashimi as I only choose which one is really fresh and this Tuna Sashimi really tastes good that I want another set of it but since their servings are big enough, I was contented with it already! (Plus of course more of our ordered foodss..hehe!) Tamago soup was also a winner and the dessert captured our tired souls-Mango Tempura ala mode! Mango covered with Japanese flour fried topped with Vanilla ice cream drizzled with choco syrup! Definitely a must try! Above average price but with the serving size, taste, staff friendliness-its worth it!

Salmon craving hits. On rare occasions I get bad quality salmon. I appreciate the fact that this one's alright. Although salmon don is boring at least I've tried it out and good thing there's soy sauce. Which reminds me this branch serves you the sauce, it's not left on the table. Strict costing, I guess.

Due to the Christmas rush, almost (if not all) restaurants were packed. We were 4th in line when we got to Kimono Ken but since we were badly craving Spamaki, we waited anyway.

We ordered the Spamaki (P140) and of course, it did not disappoint. Spam, tamago, and rice rolled into a maki? Instant Japanese comfort food! 128077 We also ordered a bowl of Chahan (P85) each, 3pcs. Ebi Tempura (P295), Pork Teriyaki (P200), Crunchy Chicken Teriyaki (P210), and Philadelphia Roll (P280). The pork teriyaki was good but I think it would be better if the meat was marinated longer to give it more flavor. The crunchy chicken teriyaki tasted like KFC Hotshots with teriyaki sauce. We liked it and we're sure it will be also be a hit for the kids.

Service was okay though it took them quite a while to serve our food. We understand the kitchen's busy due to the number of people. But yeah, food's good anyway so we will be back.

When undecided where to eat when at The Block, Kimono Ken is my go to place. The chicken teppanyaki and gyoza are quite good. Service is not bad.

super late post: lunch at kimono ken -- dynamite roll+salmon sashimi+ebi tempura+sashimi.that.we.tried.but.i.forgot.the.name.since.i.am.a.lazy.ass.and.posted.late+brewed coffee+green tea ice cream

it's really unfortunate that i forgot the name of the new sashimi we ordered since it was also good (i am really getting old). the usual suspects here are, as always, consistently delicious. we got a tip from the staff because we got another order of the salmon which was particularly good that day: request for the belly part.

dinner at default place #kimonoken: sake+ebi tempura+metique beef tepan+chahan+green tea ice cream+coffee

tried something new (well apart from the usual orders of course), the metique beef tepan. smaller cut slices of beef seasoned with teppanyaki sauce. it was actually good although we requested it be done medium well but came to us a bit well done.

i think i've raved about their green tea ice cream enough so i'll stop. i recommend it with their coffee plus their wonderful creamer (we request for extra). one of these days we'll have to ask the brand they use. it's really creamy, like breve but richer.

I don't know if I was full or I just really don't like the taste of their Ramen Nagi. It was too plain for me and there's no thrill in eating this. I love their Kani Salad but I think every Japanese restaurant can produce a really delicious Kani Salad because it's too easy.

The place is quite crowded so it's better to eat outside the restaurant.

It was really OK lang. Nothing special. Maybe I'll give it another try next time.

kimono ken for dessert? yep. we had to go back for the green tea ice cream & their coffee. i know, unbelievable right? but it's that good. as mentioned before, it's comparable to senju's green tea ice cream. and their coffee can hold its own vs against most coffee places. don't forget the cream, it's made of magic. we've been meaning to ask where they get it but never got around to it. too busy sipping our cup of joes.

dinner @kimono ken: ebi tempura+chahan+salmon sashimi+fried gyoza+green tea ice cream+brewed coffee #InstaMagApp @fotorus_official

we were so famished i forgot to take proper pics. the table was completely slaughtered & what i manage to photograph was the aftermath of the devastation. we were so hungry we ordered extra chahan (which was very good, more so for hungry tummies).

what came as a pleasant surprise was the green tea ice cream which could hold its own vs those of senju's & our recent discovery from gelatissimo. bravo kimono ken, this is why we love going here. oh & the coffee is also really good. but add their terrific cream & it transforms into the perfect latte (we request for extra cream which they always oblige). outstanding!
