Visit the in laws yesterday and hubby and I bought some food for lunch at King Bee Commonwealth so we can have something to eat for lunch when we go to my in laws.

We ordered our favorite foods here like King Fish with brown sauce, price varies per gram and of all the food that we ordered, this is the most expensive of them all, requested by my in laws that's why we bought it. Then shrimp sauahe also, price depends on grams, birthday noodles, hakao, seafood rolls and rice.

I noticed that most of their customers were oldies and Chinese, the place was most of the time full especially on Sunday. The service is a bit slow compare to Marcos Hi way branch. Our bill cost us around 2,500 pesos .

The staff holds our take out order and accompany us to the car then in terms of parking , security guard will assist you too.

We ate at this restaurant 2 days in a row with a large group. It just makes sense since its the only good restaurant along Commonwealth that can accommodate a large group without any advance reservations. Like any Chinese restaurant their steamed suahe and Lapu-lapu are top notch, one of the reasons to go. Its always fresh, alive even as you arrive. Kids often enjoy running to the aquarium to placate themselves while waiting for the food to arrive. On our first day, we ordered the steamed lapu-lapu. The whole meal ended after an hour and it still hasn't arrived. It was only when prodded twice that our server told us that they ran out of Lapu-lapu. It was disappointing really since it was one of our staunch reasons to go. Oh well, we did eventually try it the next day.

Key takeaways:
1. Try their specialty, steamed suahe if you want to impress a group of (at least) 5
2. If you want a good venue for an impromptu meal with a large group without any advance booking, King Bee has ample space to accomodate you at the second floor for a minimum cosumable fee.
3. A good Chinese restaurant whatever your budget is. If you're stingy you can always opt for their dimsum. If you're feeling fancy, try their fresh options such as the suahe and lapu-lapu.

For some reason, service was slower than a snail that day. This was a week ago so I don't know if they've improved. We had to wait 10 mins to place our order after calling the attention of several waiters multiple times. They sure took their sweet time.

Lucky the food was still good. We ordered our usuals: lechon macau, yangchow, beef brocolli, peppered squid (calamares), and my nephew wanted the birthday pancit. For appetizers, siomai, chicken feet, and bean curd.

Everyone was too lazy to cook last week so we ordered dinner from King Bee.

Siomai, dumplings, YC fried rice, pansit, fish and spare ribs... Overall it was okay for me.

On the upside...

My dog loved the lechon macao! He kept wagging his tail and begging for food!128525

Apparently he likes MSG!128513

Every other weekend we order our Sunday dinner from KingBee. Our favorites are shark fin dumpling, pork siomai, asado siopao and hot & sour soup. Very convenient, too -- since we have our orders delivered to our house.

When you come home exhausted from work, all you want to do is a) curl up and die or b) sleep forever or c) eat like there's no tomorrow... Sensing a theme? 128516

We LOVE their Hakaw, siomai and chicken feet. We ALWAYS order steamed suahe because of its freshness and softness. Also their salt & pepper spareribs are to die for. Now I'm craving.

I actually missed this place! Nothing like good ole Chinese food to make your tummy happy 9786

I love their siomai so we got a serving of that. The beancurd is a must-try as well.

My faves are pictured: spicy squid with vinegar sauce on the side (this is my fave) - basically spiced up calamares but the squid isn't cut into rings - ung flat sya. Which makes it even better! The spicyness is tolerable; it adds more flavor to the dish.

The steamed fish with garlic is one of the best dishes around. For garlic haters though, keep away from it as it has an abundance of it. Yum!

Lechon macao. OMG. Even without the sauce, it's really tasty. Soft too - hndi ung magccrack na teeth mo sa tigas 128514

The birthday pansit was better than Causeway's, IMO. It was my nephew's birthday so we got him that 128077128077128077
