King Chef Dimsum Kitchen - SM City North EDSA may not be large but it offers an ample space and a great atmosphere. This is due to the restaurant’s modern interior complimented by their dim lighting as well as cleanliness. When it comes to their food, you won’t be disappointed.

We tried their Rice Toppings: Beef in Oyster Sauce, Fried Five Spice Pork, and Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet. All three are delicious. But if I were to choose a favourite, I would pick the Fried Five Spice Pork. The pork was tender and it was oozing with flavors.

Moving on with the dimsum. I love and usually order Xiao Long Bao, Hakaw and Japanese Siomai (if they have it in the menu). Though King Chef Dimsum Kitchen offers Hakaw and Japanese Siomai, this time I opted for a different one – Chiu Chow Style Kuchay Dumpling. Some people don’t like the smell of kuchay but I don’t mind because this one tastes really good.

Besides these, we also ordered Taosi Spareribs – a should-not-be-missed whenever we eat at a Chinese restaurant. For dessert, we tried their amazing Mango Balls. It looks like a traditional pastry but on the inside is a burst of sweet and delicious mango.

Loved king chef! Was especially happy because we unknowingly made it to their "dimsum hour" where dimsum was offered at a discounted price. Great choices, quick and efficient service, and good food.

Delicious and hefty meal for a very reasonable price!

House tea available at no cost.
Rice toppers ranging from 160.00php to 220.00php which seems to be hold for 1-2 persons. Salad shrimp for just 180.00php which is good for 2-3 person.

I had high expectations for this establishment but unfortunately, it went down the drain. First thing that went wrong was the person who was at the frint was not entertaining us while we looked at their huge menu. Okay this was a small item to be and should be disregarded but we were whisk away to our table so that means the palce is not full. We then checked our orders, we had japanese siomai, taosi spareribs, birds eye siomai, fried rice, sal and pepper squid and hat shrimp salad.

Okay here it comes the dimsum tasted okay. The japanese siomai didn't have its usual creamy eggy sauce. Maybe they have a different way of serving japanese siomai, the spare ribs was and the birds eye siomai was really mediocre. Nothing much too say. Plus it shrank when it was about to get cold. Take note the place was hot. I don't know if there was something wrong with the airconditioning. The fried rice had to be followed up as the salad and squid came already. Had to wait! When it did came, I was already not in the mood. My expectations have went down south. I had to ask for spoon and fork as it wasn't even on our table. The squid was all breading and the taste was no good either. The only satisfying is the hot shrimp salad as there was more shrimp than salad but small serving. Service also is at a low.

Maybe it was just wrong timing, considering you got high reviews with your Banawe branch. But Definitely I won't be back.
