The place is really awesome, though it's not recommended for tourists who only wants to swim, because the seaside is not pure sand and water it still have reef formations which can bruises and stuff, so it's not really cool for children and family vacays. But if you are a kite flyer or surfer, this place is for you! You can rent the instruments and ride it all you want. Since we are just on vacation for 4days and most of the time we're not in the place, it's fine for us. #littleadventure

First off, I honestly am surprised that I'll be the first person to write a review of this paradise of a place, though i also had second thoughts on writing a review as doing so would mean I'm sharing a secret i would gladly keep to myself. But that's selfish, so here it goes...
I guess you can say that our discovery of this place is only accidental. We actually initially checked in for two nights to a different resort (Hannah's Beach Resort), but the experience was a nightmare that we decided to immediately look online for a different resort to transfer to and cancel our booking for the second night in Hannah's. Fortunately, we were able to book another two nights at Kingfisher online. The owners, Philip and Zara, were very friendly and accommodating that they made us feel right at home!
We wanted to get one of their Casitas but they were all taken so we got one of their Huts right in front of the beach. Now dont be fooled by the looks of their huts, they might look like a typical "kubo" from the outside but the inside will surprise you. They're very spacious, air conditioned, and very, very well maintained. Good for 4 since there are two twin-sized beds per hut. Each hut also have its own hammock in front which is perfect for beach side chillin'. The best thing about them though is that the huts are right by the beach. 🏼 They also offer wind and kite surfing lesson as well as other water activites.
Food is great too. Their Kilawin is Kila-"WIN", their Pinakbet with Bagnet is so good we ordered it twice and their Grilled Fish is so fresh it can selfie with an #iwokeuplikethis hashtag. No kidding.
What made our stay extra special is Toby, the resort's Golden Retriever. Yes, the resort allows pets. Toby is the resort's resident lifeguard, head PR, and overall swimming buddy. He'd swim either with us or just sit in the water watching over us while we swim. He's an even better swimmer than us as he can swim all by himself and as far as 30 meters away from the shore! He would also sleep outside our hut every night and accompany us wherever we'd go. I guess we became his favorite guests since we also brought our Shih Tzu with us.
This review's way longer than planned already so let me wrap this up by saying that I'll definitely comeback. It's rare that I fall in love with a place but I definitely did on this one. The place felt like home, with dogs, friends (the owners), and delicious food. Definitely worth the (very, very) long drive. 🏼
