Thanks to that sponsored Kissako Uji Matcha Cafe on facebook that I get to know about their upcoming promo days ahead. I also called their store to confirm which products are on discount. LOL! 128514

So I've checked looloo reviews and kissako's facebook and instagram accounts for comments.

I have been a matcha fan for many years now. And I haven't visited KISSAKO, One of the top Matcha places in the Metro, until today. I'm ashamed of myself. LOL 128514 But, I am glad to have dropped by this cafe with ze GF on their 2nd Year Anniversary. Yey! 128513

That means most of their Matcha & Hojicha offerings (Hot Drinks, Cold Beverages, Ice Blended) were on 50% off, matcha cakes at 20% off, Parfaits and 1st 100 bowls of Matcha Thick Noodles on a P100 pricetag 128523

Upon entering the premises, I saw a free wifi sticker at their door, and on top of their water station a looloo signage 128526 A reminder to get the best possible photos hehehe!

I asked the cashier if the matcha ramen's still available. She said thick noodles was already sold out. I'm glad she suggested the thin noodles for Matcha Ramen P100! 128540 (regular priced at P150) I'm not a fan of thick noodles so that's a blessing! 128519

I also ordered their famous Matcha Parfait (P100) regular priced at P195.

I asked for suggestion for chocolate drink for ze gf since she's not a fan of greentea. They suggested the Choco-Hojicha (P90) Regular priced at P180 for large cup. Choice of cold (Iced), hot (Latte) and Iced Blended, I chose the latter.

MATCHA PARFAIT was served first. It was served on a plastic cup. It was smaller compared to the regular sized tall glass serving for their parfait. Size was enough to satisfy us two. Layers of creamy-not bitter-nor sweetened home made Green tea ice cream, glutinous chewy rice balls, squared shaped sweet red bean paste, matcha sponge cake, generous but tasteless matcha jelly, whipped cream, crunchy sweet corn flakes, and sweetened nata bits. Ze GF who's not a matcha fan, enjoyed this one. She even liked their green tea ice cream! 128154 So this is a recommended order for your friends who's afraid to try greentea or matcha.

Then served the CHOCO-HOJICHA ICED BLENDED. It was also served in a plastic cup. I took a sip and it has this earthy, eerie, strong combination of dark choco & roasted greentea. Deym! I can drink all matcha drinks but I will not finish this kind of drink LOL! 128514 I felt sorry for ze gf she had no choice but to drink this one. But I do not recommend this at all cost. Order or Suffer! 128514128514128514

We waited few more minutes for the matcha ramen, once served, we took photos first. 128518

MATCHA THIN RAMEN was undeniably satisfying. Noodles was smooth but firm, broth was light but tasty and reminiscent of a clear miso soup. Toppings of tamago egg, greens, and few cuts of charsiu (mejo matigas). Ze GF who's not a ramen fan, also liked this one. I recommend this to all first time Kissako visitors. We were full after just one bowl. Worth the price!

We settled first after finishing the ramen and parfait and used their 2-hr FREE in-store wifi and uploaded photos in facebook and in instagram.

Since, we wanted to maximize the promo, we also ordered FROZEN MATCHA CHEESECAKE P136 regular priced at P170. It's a layer of frozen green tea (taste not bitter, nor sweet), with thick frozen cheesecake at the bottom, sprinkled with green spongecake on top. Size waa enough to be shared by two.

For the service, they didn't gave us the receipts that night, not sure if that's because they have an anniversary promo. Cashier was knowlegeable, owners were there to assist the kitchen. Didn't have to wait too long for the food to be served. In short hindi naman kame nainip ng sobra. They have a hot and cold water refill station with paper cups. No washroom inside the store. They just have one table menu that you can borrow so I suggest they provide more so people can choose first at their table before lining up at the counter.

I wonder how their sales can put up against Starbucks (just beside their store). I hope they can keep up with all the competitions because this kind of matcha specialty store is for keeps!

Next stop! My nth time here but it was my first time to try their Strawberry shortcake. "Light" is one word I can describe about this cake, even the icing, it's not like choking me like the cake icing that I've gotten used to. 127856127827

Matcha parfait, of course I came back for it. Kissako never fails. 128522

Back for more matcha experience @ Kissako.

After our bowling sessions, me and 2 of my friends suddenly craved for matcha. So we headed to Kissako in Pioneer Complex. Just around 5 mins from my friend's place.

Since its a rainy weather, I ordered a hot matcha latte ( P130) and matcha cheesecake (P170). Hot matcha latte is good, bold matcha flavor and less sweeter than Starbucks. For the matcha cheesecake, its kinda pricey. Also was a bit dissapointed of the texture, its dry and bland.

Hopefully the soft serve ice cream matcha is available when I come back 10084

Finally tried Kissako! Been wanting to go for months. Putting it off coz kakatamad mag-commute since I know the parking is kinda hellish. Kung kelan pa maulan saka kami natuloy! 128517

Of course, I got the ever so pretty Matcha Parfait (P195). Ang ganda lang. Haha!

My fave is the first layer - matcha ice cream. Yum! Strong matcha flavor. 128154

The other layers were ok. I was hoping the shiratama was flavored but it wasn't. The whipped cream is too indulgent for me. Red bean paste was bitin. Corn flakes was good and the nata at the buttom is a surprise Filipino twist. Really enjoyed this treat. My bffs got the matcha latte and matcha cheesecake.

You know a Japanese cafe/restaurant is good if there are Japanese people eating there. And for this visit, I saw a Japanese family and a lady so I'm sure this cafe is the bomb.

Will definitely come back for the matcha latte and matcha shortcake.

Matcha dream come true! After months of drooling over reviews here in looloo (you know who you are 128522 guys) I finally had a chance after lunch today to dine @ Kisako Uji Matcha Cafe.

I was surprised that it was in Pioneer Complex... I actually knew the place but didn't know what's the name #clueless.
They got cakes, ice cream, soft served ice cream, hot & cold drinks, and parfaits..its all MATCHA !! As in green tea flavored128076🏼

I ordered the ever photogenic and ever glorious in personal, Matcha Parfait (P195) I'm delighted with this piece of heaven I get to taste. Its an 8 layered dessert consist of : sticky rice cake, matcha sponge cake, matcha jelly, whipped cream, corn flakes ,nata de coco and of course a scoop of green tea ice cream on top. Bold matcha taste plus sweetness of the other ingredients makes it more delightful.

Price for me is reasonable, not feeling of regrets! Its sulit.

Place: Pioneer Complex has a wide parking space. But at 1:30pm on a weekday parking space is almost full.

Food: Seeing matcha in the menu.. Wow! I want to go back again. 128522

I've always wanted to visit this cafe! Aside from their cute matcha latte art, I really wanted some good matcha! 127861

Had their Hot Matcha Latte and Matcha Shortcake. And yes, the latte art is simply CUTE! Hihihi. It was very detailed and almost precise in its art. I didn't want to drink it and spoil the design. But I eventually did 128532 And the taste, so good even it it was really hot that! 128523 The mix of matcha and milk was just right though I wish I had a stirrer. The powder somehow got stuck at the bottom. It was good to have paired it too w/their cake. It was that sweet with slight matcha hints. I liked the frosting as it was very smooth. 128076

I spazzed the moment i first stepped in. Ahhh, this place 128154128154128154

Being a matcha-holic, i couldn't NOT give this place 5 stars as long as the food was good. And good it was! Although the matcha ramen and the matcha cookie wasn't that impressive, the matcha latte and matcha parfait more than made up for that. 128521

Matcha ramen you say? Well it seemed like a shoyu based broth with chashu slices, aji tamago, seaweed, and cha soba (green tea soba noodles) instead of ramen noodles. If i could've perhaps tasted green tea infused into the broth, i would have been impressed! The cookie tasted good but was more 'makunat' & crumbly than soft n chewy.

The matcha latte is one of the best i've tasted. Very rich and packed with all that exciting matcha flavor. They must have sourced really good quality matcha and prepared it perfectly! The parfait was a layered mix of matcha ice cream, chewy rice balls, red bean, matcha pound cake, matcha jelly, cornflakes, and cream! The parfait is matcha bliss 128154.

Looking forward to making the trip north and coming back to try the matcha cheesecake, hot green tea, and maybe everything else. 128517
