This place is very near my office. In fact it greets me every time I exit the building. It is particularly known for Sushi Party Trays which I remember getting for a Christmas occasion.

I was craving for sushi but changed my mind so I could avail their Chicken Teriyaki Bento Php 299. It had ample meat, toge, rice, fruits and a side miso soup. The chicken was bland and had too much skin. The miso was their best dish in this trip.

To end a simple Japanese meal, I had their fruit tarp. For Php 49 it was okay but I wouldn't get it again. Maybe you should skip it too. What you shouldn't forget is their green tea. Its only Php 49 for a pot.

Kitaro
I went to Kitaro for lunch last week and ordered their Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box, as well as their iced tea.

Miso soup was included:

Which I loved! I'm really not a big fan of miso soup, bu this one was good.

Next is the iced tea:

Which I suggest people skip of they do not want diabetes. Lol. It was waayyy too sweet.

Out comes the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box:

Delicious! Not as good as Teriyaki Boy's, but still, this will do. A win for me. 128077🏻

Needed a quick lunch to go so I ordered a Ebi tempura roll and a spicy tuna roll. So big and So filling!

Food was fresh, quickly prepared and tasted more Japanese than some restaurants that have a full Jap menu.

Will make this sushi lunch a regular habit.

Quick meal during overtime break...
Hmmmm... Not much of kitaro, the place looks dull., poor lighting and the counter looks like the usual resto in binondo (yung maraming frame ng permits) LOL.

Food was ok., didn't enjoy my Katsudon, i had to eat with spoon cause the rice aint Japanese! Hahahah
D cia mejo malagkit, buhaghag siya so pahirapan sa chopsticks!
Hehe

Kani was ok... 128077128077128077

Had lunch here and I was surprised to see that they upgraded the menu and improved some of the items. I ordered the kitaro roll, which is like their signature maki. The thing with kitaro is, if you're looking for an inexpensive everyday Japanese place, this is it. It satisfied my maki craving for sure.

For quick relief of Japanese Food craving - Kitaro. Salmon Sashimi and Kani Salad (on photo) are 10084. Would have given them a 5, but they recently changed their menu and removed the special sashimi plate, which was my staple order. You now have to order it with sake and is now priced ar Php800+. 128561128553128545.
I wouldn't advise you to order their ramen - their noodles 128078.

I came to work at 9am and left 11pm to meet my ISO documents deadline. I try not to have a heavy meal at least 2 hrs before I sleep so I immediately thought of the Kitaro branch near my office.

I ordered my usual, i.e. Assorted Mixed Sashimi, and added miso soup. I'm a big lover of anything sashimi, so having salmon, tuna, kani, unagi (eel), and the horrid looking but very tasty uni (sea urchin) on one plate is heaven to me. Sashimi is an acquired taste, more so if it's uni, but I enjoy it from the table or fresh from the sea (they sell this for Php5 per sea urchin in Camiguin). It's a little pricey for Php355 (if I remember it right, super sleep na eh), but I wanted to reward myself for finishing a laborious task so the price didn't bother me. Actually, if I just add a couple of hundred bucks more, I could have enjoyed more sashimi in a japanese buffet like that of Saisaki, Sambokojin, or Vikings, but hey this Kitaro branch stays up until 3am.

My friend ordered Kani salad, which I can easily do at home except that theirs have roe and nori flakes, so this one's still good.

I would say my friend and I are regulars to this place, but for this visit, I'm giving it only 3 stars. That's because I had to ask for the kikoman soy sauce (none on our table, actually none on all tables).

Still, my mission was accomplished and I was satisfied with what I had, so no reason for me to stop dining here.
