Craving again for Japanese so headed here instead of Tokyo Tokyo for affordable dining. Instead of ordering my usual Mix Tempura Teishoku, tried the Tendon instead. It came with rice, one shrimp tempura and one mixed vegetable tempura. All for Php 99.

It was enough to sate my cravings.

I found out about Komoro Japanese Dining when I checked my trusty Looloo app. There were not a lot of reviews but I decided to see for myself. Komoro Japanese Dining is a Japanese fast food restaurant which is pay as you order and self-service. I ordered their Mix Tempura Teishoku which comes with 1 pc. Prawn, 1 pc. Chicken and Vegetable Tempura. In addition, this set is served with Miso Soup and Fruits (slices of orange) on the side.

For the price, it was affordable and can really satiate your hunger. Taste wise? Not really the best tempura, I think Tokyo Tokyo’s tempura is better but it is still good. There were lots of other dishes including different donburi, soba, and udon. There is ample seating and you can even sit right in front of the glass kitchen and see your food being prepared. I would definitely come back especially if I want to satisfy my Japanese fast food craving. Also, when you are in a pinch and cannot spare the money for other restos then this place can bridge not only your hunger but also your cravings.

We ordered the beef and tempura donburi bowls. Found them dissatisfying and not worth the price. Better go to Yabu instead for more authentic Japanese dining.

Tired of Tokyo Tokyo but had no budget for upscale Japanese restaurant, I decided to try Komoro Japanese Dining. The prices seem reasonable enough for some of the items. But their maki is definitely pricey though. Learned that this was a self-service and quick service restaurant after ordering. My Mixed Tempura Teishoku was good enough for the price of Php 139. It came with rice, miso soup, 3 slices of orange, tempura dip, 1 shrimp tempura, 1 chicken tempura, and a mixed vegetable tempura. The miso soup is lovely and flavorful. The tempura was crisp and not overtly oily. Overall cleanliness and condition was good. Had no problem with the service. Food quality is tantamount to the price. My only problem was the flies in the dining area. To think that we are inside the mall. Would I go back? Maybe to try the soba.

craving for some japanese food?? If you happen to be living in the South area, you can try Komoro Japanese dining (located at lower level of SM Southmall). Ive tried one of their bento meals & its a great value for your money. I ordered their Tonkatsu Teishoku bento w/c consist of pork tonkatsu. macaroni salad. shredded cabbage. japanese rice. miso soup and fresh slice of fruit (usually 2 slices of orange) its like having a Yabu bento meal for a cheaper price., but if course Yabu bento taste better. I also like their Gyoza w/c is for 80+ pesos only for 5 pcs. Overall the dining experience was good..but since the place was just small it gets crowded on weekends.

Yey! First reviewer for this forgettable place.

It's a self service Japanese resto beside Pizza Hut in SM Southmall.

Food choices are enough to give you a minute or two to think of your order.

Prices are high vis a vis the food quality we got.

Example: Ebi tempura costs P44/each

Quality/Taste:
Marinated chicken don - tasted like luya all the way
Chicken teriyaki- undercooked chicken
Ebi tempura- heavily battered and bland
Yaki udon- pwede na rin

Our bill was around P1k incl 2 sodas.

Service: we requested for some chopsticks as the food were served to us and the staff pointed us to the counter and told us "Self service" po kami...duh??

He couldve put the utensils on the tray as he served our orders di ba???

Anyhow, complete waste of money in my opinion .
