Ambience
This is a very casual place to eat affordable Japanese food and they actually have a pleasing selection on their menu. Expect seats to be packed during lunch and dinner.

Food
I frequent this place for their Zaru Soba. Cold noodles are fun to eat and it doesn't hurt to go double every now and then. Katsudon is also good. Kaki Age Soba comes with a big serving of veggies. You can eat it crunchy or soften it up with the delicious broth.

Niku Soba was pleasantly relaxing to eat. Broth was just right, noodle consistently was in line with that of Zaru Soba, and the beef was nice and thin.

Mini Katsudon was surprisingly cute since it was a first to have one soo tiny! And of course, it was good. Not the best, but still good.

The best thing about this place is the good value you get for what you are paying for, and everything is reasonably-priced.

Service
Waiting time is always fair. Sometimes it's challenging to get a table because this branch gets really filled up during lunch and dinner.

| Experience:
Had lunch with the bf at Komoro Soba on our Saturdate. We craved for japanese food but we were on a budget so we originally planned to eat at Tokyo Tokyo but unfortunately it was too crowded and all the lines at the counter is too long for our patience then we found this place!

It's kinda small and full of people but as I mentioned, I liked the busy japanese joint vibe. There is only one till so it's only a single queue with about 3 people ahead of us. Staff working behind the counter are swift to fulfill orders. Customers will only be seated after they have ordered and I noticed that customers don't linger that much after finishing their meal, they almost immediately give their table for other customers.

I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken set meal and the bf ordered Tonkatsu. An order of the set meal comes with rice, your chosen meat's dipping sauce, cabbage, macaroni salad, miso soup and sliced fruit. We liked how the food is perfectly cooked, the tonkatsu and chicken is both tender and flavorful plus, they serve the soup hot too. The orange slices are great too! I'm usually a person who craves for something sweet after a meal but the oranges have already satisfied me and I don't even have to order dessert.

Also I liked the self-service water because you are in control of how much ice you want to put in your drink and no more pestering the servers for a glass of water only to be forgotten later on hehehehe ^^;;;

I loved this experience and I will definitely come back and try their other offerings, perhaps the Noodles next time!

My boyfriend noticed that there were a lot of people eating at Komoro and out of his curiosity he took me there for an early dinner. This unassuming restaurant may not look much because it’s simple with minimal effort with it’s ambiance. Then you won’t think that their food won’t be as tasty or you won’t enjoy it. But we did, their menu was all affordable and the bento box sets were all sulit.

We ordered:
Gyoza five pieces for only Php88. Not as big unlike other Japanese restaurant but Php88 it was perfectly fine.

Both teishoku set include rice, soup and fruits. It wasn’t as oily unlike other Japanese fast food restaurants.

Mix Tempura Teishoku (Php139) it had prawn, chicken and vegetable tempura pieces.
Teriyaki Chicken Teishoku (Php169) seared chicken breast with sweet teriyaki sauce on the side. The macaroni salad though I didn’t like the taste. This meal also included shredded cabbage.

Price ranges for dishes from Php 99 to Php 234, sidings Php 32 to Php 88 and drinks Php 37 to Php 45.
If you are on a budget and craving for Japanese cuisine without feeling deprived. Check this restaurant out.

If I could only choose one word to describe this place, it would be "affordable". Think Tokyo Tokyo that won't punch a hole through your pocket. It has all the staples of the common Japanese food you'd expect a Japanese-themed restaurant to have. Unfortunately, that's all that it has going for it. The place didn't look welcoming and the service was slow. Foot traffic is bad because of the tables that are so close to each other. The food didn't taste anything worth remembering. Then again, for a bento below 180 pesos, what else was I expecting? I'm recommending this place to anyone who needs quick and dirt-cheap Japanese fix. Their kaki age is really good though. You might want to try that.

Our go-to-place when we are hungry and can't decide where to dine in megamall.

Basically, it's the price, taste and serving size that keeps us from going back for more 128518

Php 130 for a complete meal! (Rice,soup,tempura &fruits)

If you want really, really affordable and decent Japanese fast food, then Komoro Soba is for you! Your 200 bucks could go a long way here.

I ordered the Spicy Pork (forgot the Japanese name) Don, and I liked it! It was very tasty, but the pork was a bit tough and the servings were small. It was not a spicy as I expected. Don't expect a lot since it was just P99.

My boyfriend ordered their Gyudon. It was just okay, I found the meat a bit tough, and the flavor lacking. But it was okay, nothing a few sprinkles of togarashi can't fix. Again, it was just P99.

We also ordered a cold soba for sharing. This I didn't like at all. The sauce was watered down and the noodles were not firm, to the point of being mushy. The only bright spot is the wasabi. It was very strong! Most restaurants have bland wasabi so I was pleasantly surprised.

All in all, it was a good meal at an affordable price. Will come back again to try their tempura and curry soba.128512

It became on of my fave budget friendly Japanese resto since my bf brought me here. They have meal set which is very affordable and their servings are so big. The taste of their foods are not cheap. We always had their Ebi Tempura Bento, Kara Age which is my favorite, Gyoza and their Miso soup was so good.

...niku soba + mini katsu set. A hearty japanese meal for only Php191!

...so if u got 200 bucks and wants a satisfying japanese meal. Go here, not tokyo tokyo.

...even the japanese execs from adb who frequents this place during lunch hours knows you dont need to spend so much for japanese cuisine. Heck, i see more japanese nationals eating here than in those expensive japanese restos in fashion hall or the atrium.

I 'm inlove with their ice cream!10084️ I'm glad we've tried it. It's called komoro ice cream which is a vanilla ice cream covered with roasted soy bean powder and their original syrup.

Also, for the main dishes we have ordered:
Tempura tasted the usual tempura which is good. And the other dish named komoro bento which is a spicy pork yakiniku - this tasted soooo good!128525

After doing a bit of errands, well it was mostly shopping, got a bit hungry and thought it would be a perfect time to try ippudo. But faith had other plans cause I can't believe my eyes the line was so long khit it was already 2:30pm.

But then I got a better idea of dining at komoro soba where there are no lines and the food is a lot cheaper!

Ordered kake soba- the one without toppings and paired with a mini katsudon. The broth was nice, light and really good! The soba noodles tasted like a broom stick. The katsu was a bit hard to eat but the mini portion was okay considering I only paid less than 150php for my meal. 128077127836

I'll have to returb to try their bento and kani salad!
