When we asked mom and lola what they wanted for dinner, they said lugaw. We were in the area so I suggested Kopi Tiam by North Park. It was everybody's first time here. The place looked like a house that was converted into a restaurant. The interiors were similar to North Park's but there was a display of desserts, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, savory buns and assorted breads for take home.

On the table
čö╣Fried Noodles - a giant dish of crispy noodles with the sahog in the middle. It was quite hard to mix and we really appreciated that the server offered to toss it for us. We were amazed at how she was able to mix everything without making a huge mess. The dish was as good as I remembered from our North Park visits. The portion was so huge we took some of it home.
čö╣Pinsec Frito
čö╣Siomai
čö╣Shredded Pork w/ Century Egg Congee
čö╣Chicken w/ 3 Kinds of Mushroom

The Congee were served in black bowls that kept them warm throughout the meal. The eggs were served on the side. Mom and Lola were happy with their orders. The Congee tasted really good. The Pinsec Frito and Siomai were delicious too.

I bet we'll be back for our North Park cravings in case we're in the area. I would love to try the other non-North Park dishes too and maybe bring home some of those breads and desserts.

great noodles soup, noodles were fresh, meat soft, squid balls were soft too, and thumbs up for their dumplings!!! siopaos were so good! my first time at Kopi Tiam and I definitely will go back. Am adding this place to my list of great noodle soup places, there wasn't much space for any of their desserts, ought to visit them again for their tablea cake, heard they're really good! Great dining experience, have to mention their iced coffee was milky but strong enough! my aunt and uncle recommended this place and I'll surely dart recommending it too!

The ambiance and interior of the place was really nice! Had a home-y feel so plus points for that. Never really liked the typical Chinese restaurant design so I loved this one.

As for the food, we ordered the fried tofu, yang chao fried rice, and sweet and sour pork. The fried tofu was good! The sweet and sour pork was a bit too sour but good enough. And the fried rice was way more than we expected! Sulit na for the price 128076

Will definitely come back!

I had lunch delivered to our culinary school. How ironic. Anyway, the food was bland. I had siomai and salted fish fried rice and I was disappointed. Huhu same owner as North Park but North Park is so much better. Hehe

Very chill, relaxing place to grab a quick coffee or spend the whole afternoon in. I had their iced Kopi Chino (their version of cappuccino) to go with my lunch, which was beef with broccoli and salted fish fried rice! 128076 I liked my iced coffee, the beef felt like it was pork.. And parang kulang lasa, and the salted fish fried rice was just okay, wasn't salty enough for me to want to eat it alone. Hehe

After trying Kopi Tiam I came to the conclusion that the place is more than just an extension of the famous North Park restaurant. Just by the name one can easily say that the Kopi (coffee) here is excellent. I had two big cups of the Binondo Kopi in one seating which attests to the facts that coffee is good. I likewise got to try their siopao which is so much like the North Park experience, the chicken sandwich which my wife says is one of the best because of the cotton bread ( I agree with her), and their must try storm halo halo. Not your ordinary halo halo because there is no scrimping of sahog in here. For me who does not have a sweet tooth the flavor is just right. I also enjoyed their stuffed eggplant with the yang chow fried rice. Overall kopi tiam is one hell of an experience in dining.

The place was pretty good.

Probably because it's from the North Park group. 9786´ŞĆ

I ordered the Tablea Chocolate Cake and my friend ordered the Tiapao.

The tablea cake was way too sweet, but the tiapao was pretty good. 128077

The ambiance was satifactory, very cozy.

Better than North Park :) Binondo Mami (egg noodle) is the best! U can request for additional soup for free :) their dishes are affordable and delicious! Yum!

Had to look for a nearby restaurant that serves Laksa. I stopped by Kopi Tiam to try their own Laksa.
The soup itself brings out the spiciness i'm looking for. I wanted to get the thrill of drinking something sweet after i burn my tongue with the spiciness. However, the noodles is quite a disappointment. Quality suffered with its sticky and cheap kind of noodles used.
I also got to try their Almond lychee shake. Loved how it paired well with my laksa. It sounds weird but I demanded for that interesting combination.
Their pastries are very tempting to order after my hot laksa but I was stuffed. Will go bakc to try their cakes and pastries!

Pray, Eat and Love.

Cheers,
The Food Scout

Try the warm choco tablea cake! A little bit on the sweet side though, and everything's melted and messy. I should say that presentation has to be worked on.

Me and my father passed by this place one night to buy a loaf bread for breakfast. After paying for the bread, we decided to stay for a while and order something.

My dad ordered a cup of brewed coffee. He didn't like it, since the one they served him was pre-mixed with sugar and cream. He doesn't add sugar in his coffee since he's diabetic. And since I cannot sleep when I drink coffee, My dilemma was wether to order something hot or something cold, after minutes choosing of what to get, one thing on their menu says "storm(it's a must)" so I decided to get their it's-a-must dessert which was a halo halo type of dessert--shaved ice, banana, beans, custard and etc.(i dont remember).

After around 10 minutes of waiting time, my order arrived. Mix, mix, mix, take a scoop, nom nom nom. It was okay. i feel like it's the usual halo halo without the gulaman and stuff. So, did i like it? Yeah, so so, but I don't think i'll be coming back for this again. I might come back for their other meals and the loaf bread:)

Btw, they're connected to north park, so if you have eaten at north park, you might find their other meals familiar:)

Btw kopi tiam is chinese for "coffee shop" 128521
