My family loves Korean food and Korean Palace is our go to place whenever anyone of us starts to crave for it. We’ve tried other Korean restaurants but this one in particular is favored by our father 128104🏻 He can be very picky when it comes to food so I think this place deserves a thumb’s up 128077🏻 for impressing my dad’s palate.

The entrance of the restaurant has that wooden gate door look which immediately transports me to ancient Korean houses. The interiors matched their door as well. The room is surrounded with a balcony design wherein wooden railings are used to separate the tables. The center of the room is filled with regular wooden tables and chairs. I think it’s great that they matched the authenticity of their food with their design to get that perfect dining experience.

Our usual orders were the following:

128046 BULGOGI or Korean Beef Barbeque [P340] 1108811088110881108811088
Their bulgogi is SUPER TENDER! The marinated flavors of the beef was perfect – a blend of sweet and salty (but more on sweet). Beef is cooked with onions until caramelized. Yummy! 128069 We always order two portions of this and it’s good for 3-4 persons depending on the appetite. It's perfect together with rice wrapped in lettuce.

128055SAM GYUP SAL or Pan grilled pork bacon [P300] 11088110881108811088
We loved our pork. I mean who could resist bacon? Although Korean and American bacon don't look or taste the same, just in case you're wondering. Similar to the bulgogi, this is perfect together with lettuce and rice.

DOLSOT BIBIMBAP [P420] 1108811088110881108811088
Beef with vegetable and fresh egg topping in burning clay pot. My sisters loved this. They said it's better than the regular bibimbap because it has more meat and flavor. Also, since it is in a burning clay pot, the food stays warm for quite some time. Too bad I didn't get to try this one because I was too full from the regular one 128532

BIBIMBAP [P330] 11088110881108811088
Meat with vegetable rice and fried egg topping.
Compared to the bibimbap from other restaurants, Korean Palace makes it better. I don't know why but it just feels that way. I use bibimbap instead of regular plain rice to pair with the samgypsal and bulgogi to get more flavors 128069

KIMCHI CHIGAE [P350] 1108811088110881108811088
Spicy kimchi stew served with a cup of plain rice. Many people may dislike the idea of spicy and sour vegetables. I used to hate the taste of Kimchi too but as I got to try more authentic ones, it became hard to resist. Their kimchi chigae is just soooo flavorful and good. They're not skimpy with the kimchi either. Although the broth is good on its own, I like pairing it with plain rice 127834 to balance everything out. To be honest, I can be happy with just eating this. True story 128588🏼

Quick fact --> If you love Korean ice cream, I believe they also sell it here. YAAAY!127846 We just never tried it because we end up being too bloated after the main dishes. But the usual ones are offered here like melona, ice cream sandwiches, fish red bean one, etc.

What I love about this place is how they serve unlimited side dishes 128076🏻 I also love their utensils and bowls since they use the metal ones. Can anyone please tell me where I can get them?

Anyway, service was good. The staff were nice and accommodating. Although they can't see or hear you sometimes because the place was so packed.

Even if Korean Palace can be on the more expensive side, I think it's worth it considering the quality and it's authenticity 🇰🇷 Some dishes are good for 2 people like the bibimbap(s) and grilled meat. Without a doubt, we will be definitely coming back for more and more and more 128513

128247 Photos include side dishes, kimchi chigae, bulgogi, and bibimbap. Sorry didn't get to take a photo of the samgyupsal and dulsot bibimbap 128532

Me and my sisters love Korean. 🇰🇷 Whenever one of us craves for Korean, we usually end up here in Korean Palace mainly because it's near and it has my dad's seal of approval hahaha! My dad cooks, very well, so he's quite picky with where we eat out.

Our usual orders include the following:

DOLSOT BIBIMBAP - Stone pot bibimbap! My dad's default order. He likes this because it's served in a sizzling hot stone pot and the rice can get pretty crunchy at the bottom if it gets a bit burnt. Topped with a fresh egg, which I find really good when mixed.

BIBIMBAP - The regular bibimbap which has rice, beef, tons of veggies and a cooked egg. Compared to dolsot bibimbap, this isn't as "wow".

KIMCHI JIGAE - Spicy kimchi stew served with a cup of rice. I really love this because it's spicy and it goes well with rice. It also serves as a good filler in between eating samgyupsal and bulgogi.

SAMGYUPSAL - A staple for us! Grilled pork with lettuce, kimchi and rice. My sister substitutes the plain white rice with the bibimbap they order. 128514 More flavor!

BEEF BULGOGI - Really sweet marinated beef with onions! Really good with lettuce or with rice 128077🏼

Despite the price of roughly 300-500 per head, I can still say it's a pretty good place. You get unli side dishes like most Korean restaurants.

Same thing as kebab am not familiar to any Korean Food, (except for Kimchi), well the place is okay but not much OK because inside the restaurant they're allowing people to smoke which I really really HATE! . The waiter gave us free starter compose of tofu, kimchi, togue etc. well the food is okay but the restaurant didn't have a nice ambiance. Food 128077 and for restaurant atmosphere 128078

Flavorful Korean eats, at perhaps one of the first Korean restaurants that brought good authentic Korean dining to the country. Excellent service with affordable price to boot.

Its been ages since I've been back to Korean Palace. I'm speaking from a time when the only good and known Korean restaurants in the city were this place and Korean Garden (Makati). I was with a balikbayan aunt having merienda and killing time at the neighboring Cafe Adriatico when we both decided to call the rest of the family and have dinner thereafter at Korean Palace.

Considering it was a Friday, I thought that Friday evenings would be packed and parking would be a nightmare. I headed to Korean Palace to make necessary reservations. Their server, Lito, was so accommodating and even booked our big group in one of their semi-private rooms. Moreover, their security guard Sese, was of great assistance. Upon knowing that I was returning for dinner, asked me how many cars would be parking. He assured me of reserving 3 slots in their front street parking. Talk about excellent customer service!

Fast track forward, dinner time came. Our other family members braved the Friday night traffic and made it to Korean Palace on time. All three groups comfortably parked in the slots reserved.

The place looked the same as before. Nothing fancy but had that old comfy Korean vibe. The scent of mouthwatering grilling meat filled the air. Our sitting area was nice and private.

We ordered their Chicken, Beef, and Beef Ribs Bulgogi. Their Pajeon, Galbi, Vegetable Bibimbap, and Chap Chae.

The free appetizers consisted of 8 dishes- kimchi, radish kimchi, sweet tofu strips, spinach, sweet potato, bean sprouts, grated chayote, and super spicy dilis-peanut. I liked the kimchis, the veggie salads , and sweet potatoes. The spicy Dilis was too hot for my taste---but my relatives loved it.

Free clear soup was also served.

The Pajeon was yummy and hearty. A huge square pancake with chopped shrimps, spring greens, bean sprouts, thinly sliced red bellpepper and spices. Their version was a a bit thick. Excellent with the sweet soy-sesame dipping sauce.

The vegetable bibimbap was served in a very hot stone bowl. It was sizzling as our server mixed the egg into the rice mix. Serving was huge. A bowl good for 3 people. Good carb pairing with the other Korean dishes that we got. I particularly liked the "tutong" that stuck at the bottom if the bowl. Yummy crunchy eats!

Lito, our server, gave us the option if we wanted to our grill bulgogi meats ourselves or have him do it for us. We let him do it.

The bulgogi grilled meats were served. The dishes came with accompanying leafy lettuce, carrot sticks, cucmber sticks, siling sigang and 3 dipping sauces. Their beef and beef ribs were thinly sliced , tender, flavorful, and had loads of whole garlic cloves and chopped green onions. I loved wrapping the beef slices in the leaves with a tad of salty bean sauce then dipping the roll in the light sweet soy mix. Sarap with the bibimbap.

The chicken bulgogi was chopped chicken breast. I found the meat a bit under seasoned and a bit tough. But when rolled with the condiments, it was easy to adjust the flavors with the dipping sauces.

The Chap Chae was yummy! A big serving of nicely cooked chewy glass noodles, with a generous serving of julienned veggies, sesame seeds, and egg strips. The dish tasted flavorful and a bit sweet. Nice texture. We love their version.

Their Galbi was also good. The beef short ribs were fork tender, flavorful, and had bits of melt-in-your mouth litid! The sauce was just as yummy. Loved drenching my bibimbap with the beef sauce!

Dessert was sweet fresh pineapple.

We were surprised with our bill. For a group of 8 people , with 2-3 orders per dish type , beverages (soda, beer , juice) our bill only amounted to 3200. That's roughly 400 per head! Not bad for a Korean good feast! And their servings are good for 2-3 people per dish. Nice!

I must say though that at this present day, there are better Korean restaurants that serve yummier Bulgogi choices. Some perhaps cheaper while some really expensive. But my 5-star rating for Korean Palace comes with the nostalgia of the place, the good food, the excellent service, and the affordability of the food choices.

A highly recommended Korean food fix place to foodies while at the Manila area.

Awesome Bibimbap! Fall of the bones Galbi Chim! Try out this place if you want authentic Korean cuisine.

I forgot to take a picture of the food because we were so hungry. Good thing I took a picture of the banchan (side dishes)! Service was a little bit chaotic when dinner time hits.

Located near Cafe Adriatico.
