This has been our meeting place with clients and partners. It has good ambience and has wifi. :)

I always order their Takoyaki, P120 for 6 pieces. It is big and really delicious. It's worth the price. We also love ordering their Kozui cake and Kozui frozen green ice. 127807

Tried Kozui's Frozen Green Tea127861 ordered the small size for P80. Its a must try! Love the Green Tea taste! Sweetness is enough since it is served with sweetened sticky rice ball and sago.

This Melon Matcha is the best! We come here often just for this. The Melon and Matcha blends so well. The place is nice and cozy as well. Their staff is okay.

Another phone reset means brand new struggle to finish backlogs 128517

Let me continue with our 5th stop during our #TomasMoratoFoodCrawl last month 128514128514128514 - Kozui Green Tea. From the first time I learned about Kozui years ago, I've been giddy to go. Since distance would not permit, it remained in my wish list until Jairus d agreed to drop by during our food crawl!

When we got inside, I immediately noticed that the place needs some TLC. Worn out pictures on the wall, worn out paint and an overall I need some upgrade and re-touch feel and smell lingered. I wished the owner updated or at least maintained the store interiors a bit. We checked their menu and since we were stuffed from eating since morning, we settled for dessert. Mary Love S and I agreed to share an order of their Strawberry Anmitsu with Green Tea Ice Cream. We were thinking of soft serve ice cream with strawberries, jellies and adzuki. Apparently, we were wrong lol as we dug in, we noticed that 1st: the green tea ice cream wasn't as fantastic as as we thought. It was just okay - lacking in matcha kick with too muck milk. Kissako was waaaaay better. 2nd: the strawberry part was just strawberry jam 128530 and lasty, it has some shaved iced underneath. Other than these, the bowl also had some mochi like balls and taro jam.

Errrrr... Nothing special. Maybe if you're a Matcha Newbie or if you don't like your Matcha bitter and earthy, this is for you - subtle and milky.

Not something I will go back to, given the distance, and the experience.

Boo. No internet now?!
It suppose to have internet connection.

128204128525 anmitsu
Really great tasting dark matcha softee with sweet rice balls, gulaman, red mung beans and that pink mung paste. It has crushed ice--making it a Japanese style halo-halo.

128204 tiramisu millicrepe cake
Nakikiuso, but yes, it's good. Got a little confused to taste some cherries with it, but i like it anyway.

Not really a good place to stay and chat. Because the aircon is not that strong, it has some library ambiance na parang you'll get ashame if you'll chat loudly.

But no questions about where to ho if uou like good green tea ice cream 128516

I have heard of Kozui before and it seems to be a go to place for matcha lovers. I just never braved the traffic to buy a soft serve ice cream especially since Family Mart is a lot closer. But with C in our group and with her love for matcha, we headed to the well-loved (and pioneer) matcha joint for some cold treats.

Hello, Kozui!

The place was a lot smaller and worn out than I pictured. The place actually looked… sad.

Anyway, I decided to go with Green Tea Anmitsu with strawberries (PHP150/bowl) and shared it with C as we were trying to save space for other dishes.

Our bowl was served after a few minutes and the first thing I looked for was the strawberries. Apparently, it was just some sort of strawberry jam-slash-jello.

After a few snapshots and trying our best to make the soft serve green tea ice cream look greener in photos, we took a spoonful.

The green tea taste was quite mild and wasn’t something noteworthy. It went well though with the other toppings—red beans/azuki, that pink mush which I have no idea what it was, and strawberry jello-jam.

Sadly, I have had better soft serve matcha ice cream from Senju, Chaya and Le Petit Soufflé.

I don’t think I’ll ever brave the traffic just to visit this place.

Another really late review... i think this'll be a weekend for a lot a of catching up, and looloo reviews wont be an exception. 128514

Being a green tea and matcha lover myself, i was really excited about the concept of this place. As expected, the cold tea drinks were refreshing, and the matcha green tea latte was rich, creamy, and smooth. Also got to try their green tea soba, takoyaki, and the green tea anmitsu - an assortment of beans, jelly, and mochi topped with the all important green tea soft serve. Enjoyed everything though neither the soba nor the takoyaki was the best i've had, and i couldnt help but compare the anmitsu to the amazing one mochiko used to serve. What really bumped it up to 4 stars for me were the drinks 128522

Their Anmitsu is to die for! This dessert can be shared by two. I wonder where do they get the taro jam? It's super yummy.

Price: Any Anmitsu flavor is priced with P150.00

So our mini meet-up turned out to be a takoyaki feast! Armed with fruit tea drinks, our group of 8 consumed 5 orders of takoyaki! I was so stuffed!! (Since i've been eating since 9 am with little breaks in between 128513128517)
The place is quite unassuming but they have good food at reasonable prices. Takoyaki and Karokes are musts!

128523128523128523Another favorite from Kozui, whenever I go here I always order their Chicken kaarage and match it with Pom tea. I always like the idea of matching savory and sweet.

128077128077128077Passion fruit tea and roasted green tea is also a must try.

This small unassuming place serves really good food! Mark O and I had takoyaki, korroke (this one was so yummy! It tasted the same even after 8 hrs and eaten cold, pumpkin wrap and chicken katsu wrap (love the chicken! 128523) ; all of these plus their yummy roasted matcha latte. The latte reminds me of toasted seaweeds hehe

I would love to come back and try more plus have their takoyaki and korroke again 128525128525128525

Passion fruit wasn't available when i was there. :( sadness. Oh well, i guess i need to go back to taste it.

Liked the variety of choices you can order in terms of drinks. When i was there, it was a good study place but i understand that it can easily get noisy given the small space. Fast wifi, good number of outlets, chill music... I guess i have a new study place in the north.

If I am not already stating the obvious, I am a green tea lover! From the hot tea, ice cream, soft serve ice cream, frappe, shakes, yogurt, and etc. So when I discovered this place from a friend way back, I can't get enough! their original green tea ice cream was one of the best I ever tasted! The taste was really strong and bitter (unlike some other green tea places wanna be's), just the way i like it! It also comes with pearls, but i just prefer the ice cream. They also serve cold drinks, so for a green tea lover like me, go check them out!

good green tea drinks and a lot of varieties. It's the usual price for a green tea shop. i recommend the matcha oreo. Awesome. Kinda small though. You can hear the loud conversation if there are noisy people upstairs.

First timer. Tried their Matcha Butterscotch Korichio. Too sweet for me but actually it worked. I loved the taste of Matcha combined with Butterscotch. I think I'll give this shop another shot again.
