I tried the Kitkat Green Tea donut of Krispy Kreme. The matcha flavor was there. For me it is best paired with black coffee without sugar because the donut taste too sweet already.

Having my donut snacks here was kind of my reward for changing parking slot every afternoon. Aside from NY cheesecake which is not too sweet. This is another stuff here that is good, referring to the cupcake like classic kruffin. At 65 it might be a little stiff for a cupcake but with its size and the cream at the middle it was worth it.

Everything here is too sweet. Even 1 piece of original glaze would have me on a sugar high.

Except for this ny cheesecake. All time fav, might taste weird for others but i enjoy my do it a little bit sour.

Meet my holiday Krispy Kreme doughnut last Dec 11. Went here for breakfast with fam while hubby had a meet up. Then we got other holiday doughnuts and a bottle of Sola.

The Krispy Kreme branch there at the Bonifacio High street really has a very nice ambience perfect for hangout. Staffs are nice and they have socket for charging and wifi of course .

Plus had a chance to have picture taking with actor comedian Joey Marquez128514

Matcha green tea donut holes with almonds! Did they have this before? 70+ for a cup full, amd 200+ for a box. Unfortunately you can't buy just one piece to try. We always only get the original glazed and breads because I find their donuts too sweet. I'm happy I have something else to try here. Seems like there are a lot of new donuts and bread variants available too.

The newly renovated BHS branch is now open. Looks dark from the outside, but its bright inside. I'm liking the layout. Though I mostly come in here for take out, the seating is more spacious and inviting. Even the stools are soft and comfy. They separated the queue for take out counter too.

I was worried they took out the donut machine (free donuts when the KK light is on), it now occupies a smaller space on the side.

Krispy Kreme's new doughnut holes are, i believe, their answer to Dunkin's munchkins. Loving the flavors they came out with, but started out with 2 that hit close to my heart and curiosity - churros and matcha green tea.

Churros - a churro in doughnut form! Doughnut ball dipped in cinnamon sugar and half coated with chocolate. Its your churros con chocolate in one small bite sized doughnut!

Matcha geen tea - need i say more? Think of a munchkin coated in matcha frosting and sliced almonds. Very well pulled off!

I am a sucker for promos and freebies. So when I got an email announcing that the first 50 bloggers to promote SM’s mobile application will get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, I quickly posted one on my blog. And I made it! I was among the first 50 and soon, I got an email with instructions on how to claim my dozen doughnuts. I was so careful with reading the instructions as I was worried that I could only claim it in Krispy Kreme located in SM malls, with the nearest one in SM Megamall, the branch that feels like the hangout place of everyone in Metro Manila. But it did say that I could claim it in company owned branches so I gave Krispy Kreme High Street a call and they confirmed that I could claim my dozen doughnuts there. Yay!

Hello, Krispy Kreme!

As a big fan of Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed, I was so giddy going to the well-loved doughnut shop. But my smile turned to a worried grin when the staff told me that I could not claim my dozen doughnuts from that branch. I pointed out that I could since it did say “company owned” as well. The staff then verified it with her boss, taking my phone with her (which I felt really iffy with) and soon returned saying that I could claim my doughnuts. It made me let out a sigh of relief. I would have also been more pleased if she apologized for the hassle. But she just shrugged it off and gave me my doughnuts after the little mishap. (Maybe I’m just a sensitive customer?)

Anyway, nothing else can ruin the happiness these delightful doughnuts can give me. Its soft texture and the slight crunch of the glaze (which breaks with every bite) is simply addicting. Eating just one is never enough. Heck, even two is not enough! But I always have to remember that each Original Glazed has 190 calories, a number I could not even reach when I use the treadmill. 128517

Cheese Puff and Chocolate Donut one hot afternoon because why not? 128518

I am not a fan of KK donuts since I find them super sweet. And I am now reminded why I prefer JCo (or DD) over KK.

The chocolate donut was sweet and dry? It was too sad to eat. 128557 The cheese puff was interesting which is why we ordered it but there weren't that much cheese inside. The bread was too flaky and it tasted weird. 128563

Oh well.

This branch is open 24 hours. If you have the chance, check out the donut production area. Watching it can reduce your stressful day.

My wife's review, she loves crispy creme. She ordered original glazed donut and a kit Kat donut. I ordered a cafe late. Since I'm not into sweets I would rate only 2 stars but that would be a very biased opinion. My wife loves sweet do she rates at 5. My cafe creme was WAY to sweet for my liking. But she said it was great! She'll be back but I won't. Sorry crispy creme.

All of my friends know how much I hate waiting for food especially when I'm hungry. Wait, scratch that and change it to hangry. But this personal rule (or warning to friends) changes whenever a new restaurant is involved. Such was the case when Pound opened. I patiently waited for 2.5 hours to dine here on its first night and 3 hours a few days after. (Note: This was during the Pay What You Want promo week.) I was so hungry that I started to hallucinate and saw flying fried chicken around me.

On my first Pound visit, I just could not stand my grumbling and grumpy tummy so I went to Krispy Kreme while hoping that Pound do not call my name yet (coz if they do, I might lose my slot and eventually just wasted 2.5 hours of my life).

It was a good thing that there were only 2 people ahead of me in line. Buuuuut, the lady in front of me took her time to decide on what to put on her TWO DOZEN boxes. Of course, the server cannot skip her to entertain me first who just wanted one Original Glazed doughnut. I do hope though that there is a separate express lane for those who just want a quick snack or two (similar concept as supermarkets).

Service was very quick though when it was my turn. I got my doughnut and change in less than 2 minutes.

I rushed back to Pound after getting my doughnut only to find out that I still have to wait for a couple more minutes.

I went back to my dark mosquito infested corner and enjoyed my doughnut that never fails to brighten my day (or for this case, kept me sane).

I'll forever be an original glazed doughnut fan. 10084

The first, the very first time I heard about Krispy Kreme was in an episode of Sex and the City where one of the characters was doing something funny (if you know what I mean 128521) while eating a box of donuts.

That's how good KK is. That episode was aired ages ago and til now KK still satifies our classic donut cravings.

I don't buy their other varieties though as I find it too sweet for my liking..but the original glazed? 1108811088110881108811088

I really appreciate the free donuts they give out every time they make their original glazed donuts. I'm not sure if everyone knows about the free donuts you get when the KK hot light is on because no one really lines up for it, I always see just a few people. We've been more than lucky to be able to get that free donut in their High Street branch. Maybe 90% of the time we're there the lights are on127808 There was one time though that we went in and sakto, the lights went off.

Here's my last free donut, one for me and one for my daughter who even requested for a hat, which we used to place our donuts in. She also happily received that long green balloon they give to kids. Not sure if it's a good thing but my toddler can eat a whole glazed donut.

Of course we return the gesture by being long term customers of this place. We only like the glazed, we find everything else too sweet. We also like their savory pull aparts. We literally pull it piece by piece when we eat it, which is a better experience for me than just biting into it.

The H likes it with black coffee. I take a small sip sometimes and it does go well with it, the coffee being sweetened by the bite of the donut. My son likes their chiller. Tastes like something kids will like. We rarely dine in this place and only stay when it's not crowded.

Gone are the days when we would bring in boxes of these carried on the plane from California to Makati. KK was also a novelty where my family lives in the US for a time because you could only find it in the northern part of the state then. People mostly take out the donuts there and it was a pleasant surprise to see a fancier donut cafe here. They inaugurated their flagship store in BHS in 2006, 10 years ago this year. Time flies so fast, right? Their 1000th store opened in the US in 2015.
