Its that time of the month for my usual overdosed sugar fix and craving for doughnut. Before heading home I decided to buy a dozen to bring home. I usually dont buy in this branch since they often run out of other flavors rather quickly because stall lang sila.

Anyway, I got lucky this time around I got to buy the new cadbury flavored ones, kit kat, peanut butter, Oreo, and creme brûlée. But I can't lie, original glaze is the best and beyond compare. I'll remember that when I buy next time and para wala ng agawan. You guys should remember that too! And you could even save a few bucks! 127849

I always order the one with kitkat, because it makes me feel like i am doubling my wicked deed...! Haha!

I just recently discovered this new branch/kiosk at the nearby Robinson's Pioneer!

But how did Krispy Kreme start?

In 1933, Vernon Rudolph and his uncle purchased Joseph LeBeouf's donut shop on Broad Street in Paducah, Kentucky along with a secret recipe for yeast-raised doughnuts acquired from a New Orleans French Chef. Rudolph began selling the yeast doughnuts and delivered them on his bicycle. The operation was moved to Nashville, Tennessee and other family members joined to meet the customer demand.

In 1937, Vernon Rudolph sold his interest in the Nashville store and rented a building in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and began selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts to local grocery stores.

So what sets Krispy Kreme doughnuts apart? They are lighter, fluffier, and more cake like, compared to others. Maybe this is because they use yeast to raise their doughnuts?

Whatever it us they do, just keep on doing it!
