I dropped by at Kumuri SM City Makati branch to try the Matcha Cheese Tart (Php 70.00 per Tart) before heading to work. I also bought the Signature Cheese Tart for Php60.00 per Tart.

Been wanting to sample their breads forever but only got the chance last weekend. So I tried a different bunch of breads and puddings to make my visit worthwhile. These aren't cheap. Total damage was P438.

Cottage cheese (P65) was the best. I love it! It has a pudding texture and it's so creamy. The size is too small I wanted more! 128540

Hanjuku (P48) was okay for me. I had high hopes I guess. Just a simple cheese bread-ish pastry.

Green tea pudding (P98) was also a favorite. I love anything matcha. The matcha tart (P70) was okay. Would not buy again though coz it's so mahal.

The banana oreo (P75) and marshmallow choco (P82) I could do without. They're just brownies with topping.

Overall, if I would happen to be at SM Makati again, I'd probably buy just the cottage cheese and green tea pudding.

Kumori is the reason why i rarely visit ze other bread joint.  Their baked treats are phenomenal!  Those soft,  fresh off the oven treats are irresistible.

One of my faves is the green bun and matcha bun.  The latter because of matcha and the former because of the lovely hue.

The matcha bun has a mixture of matcha x cream custard. The bread is soft.  Best eaten with a cup of joe.  The green bun  albeit the lack of imagination in the conceptualisation of the name,  is packed with flavor too.  The inside is filled with apple pie-ish filling,  this is best eaten with a cup of tea.

I love carbs!  I love Kumori.

I've been having Bake Cheese Tart envy ever since Roy T told us about these little pieces of heavenly delight. Then came the news that they'll be in Manila soon. Then Abe C started posting Bake Cheese Tart pictures again in our chatroom which prompted me to go and buy Kumori's version. They said that Kumori's doesn't come close to Bake's but that's fine. I will settle with what's available.

60Php per piece, 330php for a box of 6 - these little tarts are expensive! Boxed warm, you can right away smell their freshly baked goodness. As you take a bite, a crumbly and buttery crust will greet you. Then a soft and warm and gooey cheese filling will burst into your mouth! Cream cheese was evident making each tart creamy and rich, really good I must say!

My only problem with these cheese tarts is their crust. It was too crumbly! When you bite, the entire crust collapses making it so messy to eat. Tried putting the tarts in the ref which made the crust hold everything better but I think the cheese filling is best when warm.

Can't wait to try Bake's version!

Found these delights in SM Makati supermarket. The cheesecake is delicious, creamy and cheesy (sweet and a little bit salty) and melts in your mouth pastry. It's their best seller. The Toyohashi Pudding is like Pinoy's Leche Flan in a cup that comes with that kawaii spoon so you can eat it on-the-go! It's tasty but you need to scoop all the way down to get the sweet syrup so it could complement the entire pudding and enjoy its rich taste! 128523128076🏼128077🏼

This is my Nth time to visit KUMORI. Everytime I go here, I feel "laging EXCITING". Excited to dig one of the best Japanese Cheesecake I've ever tasted. 128561128155127856

I really love Kumori's Hanjuku Cheese "ang SARAP!" promise! 🖐🏼 Php48.00 only per piece.

First time to try their Japanese Cheese Tart, my gosh! "ang SARAP din!" 128561 kaya lang, hindi ba medyo mahal ang Php60.00 per piece for small cheese tart? "How much kaya sa Pablo?" But it really taste good, favorite ko na sya. 128525

My other favorite is Krone, Php49.00 per piece. The custard filling inside crunchy bread like croissant, my gosh! "Ang SARAP!"

I know this is their attempt of copying Japan's BAKE cheese tarts but sadly, they fell short in terms of flavor and texture. PWEDE NA if you're craving. The crust was way too crumbly that it couldn't hold the tart together. The cheese filling was airy and fluffy too compared to the original ones which are extra dense and rich. They're priced at 55php/piece and for me, that's a bit pricey relative to the size and quality.9996🏻️ Sayang but I hope they work on these minor booboos.

After trying their hanjuku, toyohashi and some other pastries. This time I went for their Cottage Cheese. This is another great pastry. The creamy cheese pudding was very smooth with a very rich cheese flavor. Another new fave in Kumori. They just never fail me.

Still waiting for the hanjuku matcha to be serve here in manila. The staff told me they are still perfecting it to Kumori standard. They haven't pass so far the quality standard.

Just a trivia. Komuri in Japan is known as Komugi. Hehe. 128517

Smooth tasty shiny bread but salmon filling was disappointing, thankful for yummy flakes. Still open to try their other bread products.

This reminds me of a dessert/cake house (mille fille) near our house in japan. Made me miss Shu Cream... 128557128557128557

Budget wise, everything is pretty reasonable. Delicious breads! I will definitely be back. 128147

Grocery day = Kumori day because Kumori is right outside SM Supermarket in Makati!

Skipped the cheese cake and got an assortment of bread and a pudding all for myself. I need my reward for doing the grocery lol

I loved the savory Crab Bun with a soft bread and tasty topping - crab sticks, corn and mayo. Really good!

The bun with Matcha swirl was okay. It was good but needed some more matcha kick, IMO. It had a custard like filling that was mixed with Matcha powder.

The Sausage and Cheese Roll was delish! Sausage inside a soft roll, topped with a slice of cheese. This will surely delight the carnivore in you 128518

The Matcha Pudding was underwhelming. It was too firm for a pudding, seems like there was too much gelatin in it. The texture was somewhat rough and can use some more Matcha. 128533 wasn't able to finish it.

Best cheesecake so far! Not too sweet, and oh my it's so fluffy it almost feels like heaven :) The very first time you open one, the aroma of the fresh ingredients starts to blossom. Definitely worth its price. 128149

Upon arriving at sm makati, i went to the basement to try this one up before roam around the mall. I order their hanjuku cheese cake and apple crumble. I like the hanjuku cheesecake better but i reckon that it would taste good if not chilled. It was too late when i found out that they are also serving turon ala cream puff style. Maybe next time. 128522

So doing a lot of backlogs. 1285179996🏻️

Tried this one. A custard filling crispy bread on the outside. I liked it. Nothing special tho. But it's good, not too sweet. I also got hanjuku cheese. It's a little spongy cheesecake. It was fine for me but my mom liked it. What I am into was their toyohashi green tea pudding. It was creamy, soft and good. 128077🏻

An "apple" a day keeps the doctor away. Haha
I was going to buy my fave hanjuku cheese original when this "apple" caught my attention. It is a soft bun with cream filling. I like it. Also bought krone which is a tube shaped cream filled danish. I super loved it. It is not too sweet. 128521
The cashier is also nice. 128519

Never a visit in Makati that my sister and I do not drop by Kumori in SM. This branch is our favorite because the one in Landmark is quite a hassle to go to.

We took out the usual original hanjuku cheesecake. We still liked them as always and a box will never be enough but we had to buy only one to control what we can finish. Haha, and to have more to look forward to next time. 128517

I also got their Krone, a Japanese danish pastry I think that's shaped into a cylinder then they put custard filling inside. What I like about it is the flaky shell did not break too easily and remained still solid after biting through it. Custard filling was not too sweet also. 128077🏻128077🏻 my second time to try this and definitely coming back for more.

My sister also wanted to try their Original Toyohashi Pudding. A small glass jar that's kept in their ref along side their cheesecakes. It was good, tasted like leche flan in a way in terms of texture and also had the caramelized sugar as sauce, making it a bit sweeter. I don't mind not having those as I liked the custard pudding as it is.

See you again next time, Kumori! 128516128516
