Our visit here was a stopover from a trip to the province so dining in Kuya J was really a last minute idea. Surprisingly, this branch is a lot cleaner than the branches in Metro Manila. The interior on the wall (wooden shelf) tries to create a homey vibe inside the restaurant.

For a stopover, we ordered a lot of things. Haha. We got…
- Pochero Bulalo Tagalog : The sauce was full of flavor and the meat was tender. The vegetables were not overcooked.
- Sisig Rice Platter : It had a hint of tolerable spiciness on it and it goes well with the sauce of their Pochero.
- Sizzling Squid in Barbecue Sauce : The squid was just okay but I find the barbecue sauce a bit bland.
- Sizzling Bangus in Barbecue Sauce : Contrary to the squid, the barbecue sauce on this dish was really good. The bangus tasted delicious also.
- Pancit Canton : I liked how it was served really hot and fresh from the stove so we were able to the flavor. It was good that I even forgot to put calamansi on my plate.
